MPD (8/2) 1 & BP Beldones Ivory Star a charming s/w to start the day with. Took my eye as they went around the ring for the first time. So balanced, showing reach and drive with good head carriage. Pleasing head, neat ears, kind eye and expression and in excellent coat. 2 Lockyer’s Gataj Perfect Timing another s/w with so much to like. Again very kind and knowing eyes, nice flat skull, not quite the underjaw finish of the winner as yet. He is well ribbed, has a decent reach in neck and is light footed as he circles the ring. 3 Williams’ Essanjay Ring of Fire
PD (5/1) 1 McCarte’s Roughrigg Rags’n’riches fully coated and well presented s/w. Good flat skull, moderate stop soft, knowing expression and well carried ears. Scores in spring and depth of rib,is firm in backline and has a well moulded croup. I felt the MPD just had that tad better reach in neck. 2 Geddes’ Ingledene Absolute Legend a well coated and presented tricolour. His skull is flat but I would like it longer to balance the foreface. Very good eyes and well set ears. At present he needs to fill out in forechest but time is on his side for that. At his best when moving showing reach and drive as he circles the ring with a light step. 3 Melonie’s Wisewyn Eternal Life
JD (5) 1 & Res CC Harris’ Geosamka Loves to Love at Ithilien I thought him a delightful example of the breed. On the stack his shape, enhanced by his arched neck, draws the eye. Handling confirms his quality head, good flat skull, smooth cheeks and well filled foreface are a delight. He is well ribbed, smooth croup and well set and carried tail. Coat shone with well being and he is quite light footed as he circles the ring. Surely has a bright future. 2 Lockyer’s Salsina’s Red Hot Crush With Gataj another s/w with much to like. A very good head, eyes and expression, uises his ears so well. Sufficient neck, so well ribbed and a good forechest. He has sufficient hind angulation and was in very good coat. Just not the rear drive of the winner when moving. 3 De Ven’s Winner Of Dreams Angel Silvestre
YD (6/1) 1 Blake’s Corydon Christopher a sable and white of quality. Richly coloured, well coated and presented and blessed with a really good forehand and neck which he uses to advantage on the stack. His head is a good length, the skull flat and the stop not overdone. Out moved the others with his light, ground covering profile action. 2 Farthing’s Didek Once In a Blue Moon what a lovely coloured blue merle this is. Pleasing head but a bit reluctant to use his ears which detracts from his expression. He has a decent neck, well balanced forehand, tight in elbow, ample spring of rib and good second thigh. I lovely bloom he just was less enthusiastic that Christoher as they circled the ring. 3 Randall’s Ladnar Aloysius.
PGD (6/1) 1 Hanson’s Jards Ring Presence this shaded sable was a credit in coat presentation. Pleasing head though he was a bit diffident about using his ears. He has enough neck, well laid shoulders, a decent spring of rib and is well angulated aft. Lifys his tail a tad higher than I like but his profile action showed reach and drive with good hock use. 2 Crawford’s Stregato Foolish Guy this s/w is a tall chap, rangier all through than the winner, in super coat and with a balanced profile action. His head is a good length, the skull quite flat and the eyes well shaped. I think a tad more stop definition would soften his expression. 3 Skinner’s Ladnar Makeithappen for Nikai
LD (16/2) 1 Newton’s Fiorcara Brave Explorer is nicely ribbed and clean in croup to a well set and carried tail. A quality s/w which won the red card despite his being reluctant to use his ears! Lovely head planes, enough stop, such expressive eyes and a good chin. Just about enough neck, and a good bend of stifle. Moved out with reach and drive which earned him the top spot. 2 Jones’ Brooklynson Black Diamond With Dancol this tri is such a responsive showman. Well balanced head, excellent reach in neck, a bit narrow in forechest, level backed, well set tail and well angulated aft. His coat presentation was flawless. 3 Parnham’s Caribbean Blue Sky Actis to Samante (Imp Pol)
OD (12/2) 1 & CC Milligan & Marley’s Alfsden He Lives In You a quality headed blue merle which is at his best moving where he is light footed and coves the ground like a well honed athlete. I liked his head planes, ample stop, well moulded foreface and such expressive eyes. Shown in excellent coat he is a different dog when stacked as he is reluctant to use his ears much whereas the BOB was on the tiptoe of expectation, arching her neck, ears bang on top and showing her head off - Group material!! 2 McCarte’s Ch Roughrigg Rag ‘n’ Bone Man lots to like in this worthy titleholder. He has a quality head and expression with very good eyes and ears. Ample spring and depth of rib, firm in backline and enough bend of stifle which he uses to good effect as he circles the ring with a positive step. In lovely coat he just could have more reach in neck for me to complete the picture. 3 Skalin’s Int/fin/dk/no/it Ch. Skabona Mix’n Match
VD (4/1) 1 Collino’s Wicani Altitude at Imaginist I loved the wise look this veteran gave me and I guess he is a real character. Spotless in coat, nice head and well set ears, Super coat condition and he uses his neck so well. A credit to his owner. 2 Spendelow’s Uffspring Unmistakable Aw(s) a well coated and presented tri veteran which is so light footed as he moves around the ring. Not the fullness of coat of the winner but what was there was flawless. Pleasing head and expression and he kept talking to me as I went over him, tail wagging away! 3 Boyle’s Barrenclough Diamond Days Spec.
Beg D (3) 1 & Best S.B.... F. Brave Explorer 2 Boyle’s Barrenclough Heart of Gold JW lots to admire in this s/w as his head is a good shape and his eyes and expression are lovely. Not in his best jacket and for some reason his handler found him hard to keep moving in a straight line. On the stack he is shapely with ample reach in neck and a clean outline. 3 Dix’s Barrenclough Diamond Skies
MPB (7/4) 1 Lockyer’s Gataj Time For Love this pretty headed golden sable wass presented in excellent coat. She has a good head, lovely, expressive eyes and very neat ears. She is bodying up well, was responsive on the stack and moved out well as she circled the ring. Very promising. 2 Steven’s Cambrogan’s Blissful Barra this tri was enjoying her time out as evidenced by her somewhat gay tail. Good flat skull, a bit more stop would aid her expression, she has a good neck, is very well ribbed and was in good coat. Not over keen at being handled but has time on her side. 3 Blaikaie’s Wassail Turn Back Time by Kourika
PB (3/1) 1 Lockyer’s Gataj Exotic Girl much to like about this immaculate coated and presented golden sable. Her head is well balanced, very dark expressive eyes and neat ears. A little more neck would add to her charm but sh she is well ribbed and has a nicely moulded croup. Side action balanced but she was toeing in in front when fore viewed. 2nd Williams’ Essanjay Heartbreaker heavily marked blue merle, tall lovely reach in neck, firm backline and nicely moulded croup. Head of good length but lack of stop detracts from her expression. Ears a little unsettled as yet. Moved out quite well just needs a little more hcok drive.
JB (6/2) 1 Growcott’s Chantique Sent From Heaven to Lillyway spotless in coat presentation this golden s/w has a well balanced head and such lovely eyes which give a charming expression. A pleasing shape, she is reluctant to use her neck to full advantage but I think she was unhappy with the extreme noise we had at times. 2nd Boyle’s Timeless Destiny Star Actis over Barrenclough (Imp Pol) pleasing head planes, ears a tad wide set for me, nice dark eyes, sufficient neck, well ribbed and good hind angulation. Side on she can use her hocks to good advantage but at present she is narrow when fore viewed. 3 Welsh’s Thistlewing Gold Mist
YB (6/1) 1 & Res CC Walder’s Roughrigg Red Lagertha this ever so pretty package caught my fancy the moment she entered the ring. Ultra feminine in head and expression aided by the neatest of ears. Uses her good neck to full advantage which adds to her appeal when stacked. Well ribbed, nicely moulded croup and ample rear angulation. Jacket spotless and she is so light footed as she circles the ring. with reach and drive. Surely title bound?! 2 T. Destiny Star A. over B. 3 Quince’s Oakley Ice Queen for Karafaye
PGB (12/2) 1 Parnham’s Dancing Queen Silpion Valaquenta to Samante (Imp Pol) What’s in a name? Lots to like as she is shapely, well ribbed, balanced angulations and with a nicely balanced head, neat ears and well shaped, expressive eyes. Light footed in action she showed reach and drive. Just needs to be a little bit more self assured to do even better. 2 Tame’s Gataj Time After Time At Rahlissa such an expressive faced s/w who hooked me from the start. Middle sized, ample substance throughout, enough neck, well ribbed and in very good coat. Not quite the ground cover of the winner as they circled the ring but she keeps her shape and is balanced. 3 T. Destiny Star A. over B.
LB (15/1) 1 Congdon’s Riverside Song Nebraska at Aaronwell I liked this top quality tri bitch a lot as she has much to commend her. Lovely head planes, especially appealing eyes and expression, well arched neck affording desired head carriage, sufficient upper arm and presented in good bloom. Side on she can motor just a tad close behind but she has quality. 2 Harrison’s Cambrogan Lady Of Lochaber at Cariadhaf another very stylish bitch of instant appeal. Loved her head with such expressive eyes, nicely arched neck, so well ribbed and spotless in coat. Just lost out to the winner as whilst she is sound and covers the ground well, she was not quite as light footed. 3 Ware’s Wassail Call The Midwife
OB (14/4) Wow..what a delight to judge this class!! 1 CC & BOB Blakes Ch Corydon Clarissa this bright sable and white just entered the ring and owned it from the start. Never put a foot wrong, ever attentive, head held high, ears up, neck arched, never a limb out of place, coat gleaming and then she moved around the ring with reach and drive and it seemed effortless. More than happy to send her through to the Group. 2 Mitch & Jordan’s Avonfair A Million Lovesong JW another top class bitch which surely will gain her crown before long. She has style, is well constructed, was in good coat and is quite sound as she circles the ring with a positive stride. She had to have star quality to be 2nd amongst these lovely bitches. 3 Shipp’s Ch Gillyflower Della Buca Della Fate (Imp It)
VB (7/2) 1 & BV Ch. G. Della Buca Della F. what a lovely red sable this is. So young looking, lovely headpiece with a charming expression, In lean condition, well coated and presented and can still shift around the ring with such a light stride. A pleasure to judge. 2 Beare’s Jemspark Maid In Secret another charmer of a golden sable with a beautiful headpiece and disarming expression. Sufficient neck, well bodied, sweeping croup and still light footed as che goes around the ring. Clearly much loved. 3 Benton’s Ch Brooklynson Jane Russell of Oakestell Spec.
Beg B (4/1) 1 T. Destiny Sta Actis over B. 2nd Rose’s Beldones Clementine avec Coloratura a pretty headed sable and white, between coats but has such a sweet expression from bright eyes set in a well balanced head and she moves lightly around the ring with a nicely balanced stride. 3rd Clare’s Bluchip Syrah of Skyeshelm
