Crufts 2026 – Rough Collie Dogs
I would like to thank The Royal Kennel Club for giving me the honour of judging Rough Collie males at this well run and prestigious show.
Also thanks go to my two ring stewards for keeping everything in order. Also to the exhibitors for giving me the chance to go over some lovely males.
Good Citizen Dog Scheme Dogs 4 (abs 0)
1st Spendelow Uffspring Undeniable - Blue in good coat and condition. His head was clean with no sign of coarseness. Well placed ears which he used when asked. Good neck and shoulders. Nice topline. Moved well both front and rear.
2nd Boyles Barrenclough Heart of Gold JW Sh CEX OSW VW - S/W who has a balanced head. Good stop. Flat skull. Nice neck in good body and coat. Moved well.
3rd Shorten Thistlewings Andromeda at Bracoisla
Minor Puppy Dog 1 (abs 0)
1st Morey Brookynut Clyde Barrow - 8 months S/W in lovely well groomed coat. Promising puppy. Nice head. Good stop. Well filled muzzle. Nice neck and a good topline. Very happy baby who showed and moved well.
Puppy Dog 2 (abs 1)
1st Lockyer Gataj Just Like Jessie James - S/W what a lovely youngster. Clean head. Flat skull. Well filled muzzle. Dark well placed eyes with his well used ears giving a very pleasing expression. He has a good outline. Lovely neck and topline. Well boned legs. Moved very well. I am sure he will have a good future in front of him. Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in Breed.
Junior Dog 5 (abs 0)
1st Congdon Aaronwell Asks The Question - S/W he has a lovely neck and outline. Kept his topline on the move. Clean head. Well placed and used ears. In good body and condition.Handled and presented very well. Just needs time to mature on.
2nd Lockyer Gataj I Got You Babe - S/W good head, flat skull. Well set eyes. Nicely placed ears giving a nice expression. Nice topline in good body and coat.
3rd Bardos Dragon Gold Pure Time (ATC BC72988HUN)

1st Blakes Corydon The Baronet - Tricolour in good well presented coat. Lovely positive movement as his confirmation suggests. Nice balanced head. Good neck. Well placed and used ears. Good topline which he kept on the move. Good legs and feet.
He had to pull out all stops as 2nd in this class pushed him all the way. Two youngsters who I am sure will change places many times.
2nd Randalls Ladnar Call My Name - Well grown blue standing and showing for his handler which catches your eye. Well developed head. Good muzzle and chin. Good neck in good body and coat. Well boned legs, tight feet. Pushed winner very hard.
3rd Walder Roughrigg The Life Of Riley At Hanvale

1st Baenas Little Hollywood U Are Eiwa Forrest (ATC BC68952FRA) - Handled by J Daura - S/W who caught my eye when he entered the ring. Lovely well balanced head with no exaggerations. Lovely dark eyes. Well filled foreface. Good stop. Flat skull. Well placed and used ears giving him a lovely expression. Nice neck and shoulders. Good topline with a slight rise. Well boned legs, nice bend of stifle. Short hocks. He moved very well. In very good coat which was beautifully groomed. He was very well handled and shown. One who I would have taken home. My star of the day. Dog CC and BOB.
2nd Toogood Hanvale Ralph Lauren - S/W who was in good coat. Handled and shown very well. Nice head, dark eyes. Good stop. Well placed ears. He had a nice neck and shoulders. Well boned legs, tight feet. He kept his nice topline on the move. He moved well.
3rd Scotts Chantique The Witcher

1st Balazsovits Nyitramenti Poseiidon (ATCBD54377HUN) - S/W lovely well grown male who has a good head with no exaggerations. Good muzzle, chin and stop. Very sweet dark eyes. When he used his ears he had a very sweet expression. Good neck and topline. Nicely boned legs. Good tight feet. Moved very well covering the ground. In the challenge he didn’t show as well. So close to both my top winners. Another I could have taken home.
2nd Blakie Kourika The Gigolo - Nice coloured blue in good well presented coat. Nice head type. Flat skull. Well placed and used ears. Lovely neck and outline. In good body. Moved well enough but seemed not to like the floor at times. One I am sure will do well in the future.
3rd Harris Geosamka Loves To Love at Ithillien – I liked this male as well.
Open Dog 13 (abs 5)
1st Hawkins and Foy CH Beldones Ivory Star - S/W who was so balanced. Well handled and shown. He was not quite in full coat. Presented as one would expect from this kennel. Lovely head. Good muzzle and stop. Flat skull. Well placed and used ears giving him a nice expression. He has a good shoulder placement. Good topline with slight rise. Moved very well. Res CC.
On looking at the catalogue I see his dam was one I judged before and also gave her a first.
2nd Cronk CH Chelborns Gambling List - Tri Colour quality male who also was coming back into coat. As always well presented and handled. Lovely head. Good well placed eye giving a good expression. Well used and placed ears. Good neck and kept his topline on the move.
3rd Milligans and Marley
CH Alfsden He Lives In You – another male I liked.

1st McCann CH Oakland Blue Style Du Clos De Seawind At Zolkhan (IMP FRA) - B/M I have liked this male from the ringside since the first time I saw him as a youngster. Thank you for giving me the chance to go over him. Nice head type. Good muzzle and chin. Well placed ears which he used very well. Lovely eye giving a nice expression. Good neck. In good body and coat. Moved well.
