I would like to thank the committee of the Yorkshire Collie Club for inviting me to judge Smooth Collies at this very friendly show. I didn’t have a big entry but what I did have was quality and I would like to thank all exhibitors for their entries. A big thank you also to my stewards for their help on the day and to the hard-working committee that were in the kitchen for a lovely lunch. Many thanks.

Class 21: Baby Puppy Dog / Bitch 1 entry
1st Wensley’s Blamorder Starstruck. 5-month-old super sable & white baby puppy bitch. She was such a sweetheart; I liked her a lot. She has such a lovely clean well-shaped head with a good fill of muzzle. A lovely under jaw with a nice tight lip line. Eyes are dark and well place. Well placed ears. She has a lovely length of neck and good length of body. She also has good body substance. Her tail is the correct length reaching her hocks and good oval shaped feet. She really was a happy little girl and not at all fazed by the show ring. I’m sure she has a good future ahead.

Class 22: Veteran Dog / Bitch 3 entries (1a)
1st Smith’s CH Winter is Coming to Tentola Re Imp. 9-year-old Blue Dog shown in good condition. Lovely masculine head which is well moulded with a lovely flat scull. Eyes and ears are well placed. He has a good length of neck. Good top line and body substance. He has a good lay of shoulder with good angulations both front and rear. Good tight oval feet. Good length of tail. On the move he was steady. It was a pleasure to award him best BVIB and see him awarded BVIS 
2nd Cowling’s Koczkodan Serenity. 9-year-old feminine tri bitch also shown in good condition. Lovely clean head with a good fill of muzzle. Her eyes are correctly placed giving her a kind expression. She has a good length of neck and good body shape with good angulations. On the move she was steady and kept her top line.

Class 23: Puppy Dog / Bitch No Entries

Class 24: Post Graduate Dog / Bitch 1 Entry 
1st Metcalf’s Koczkodan Well I Never. 23-month-old Tri colour Male. His head was pleasing with a good under jaw, but I found his eyes a little round rather than almond shaped. Ears were well placed. He has a good length of neck and top line with good angulations. Tail of good length. However, I found he lacked substance and needs more body weight. On the move he was steady.  

Class 25: Limit Dog / Bitch 4 entries (1a)
1st Howe’s Lizoni The Drifter. 2-year-old Tri colour male. Lovely body shape to this boy. Another lovely clean head. Well placed eyes with super well-set ears. Good length of neck. Good front angulation with good turn of stifle. Tail of good length. Moved well.  RBOB & RBIS
2nd Benton’s Blamorder Double Or Quits Of Oakestelle. 1 year old Blue Bitch. A feminine little girl who is a lovely shape. Good clean head with a good under jaw. Eyes are well placed with correctly placed ears. Lovely length of neck with a good top line. Good lay of shoulder with good front and rear angulations. She has lovely oval feet and a correct length of tail. She moved well and was in harmony with her handler.

Class 26: Open Dog / Bitch 3 Entries (1a)
1st Wensley’s Ch Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW. 3 ½ year old Tri colour male who was shown in lovely condition. Lovely clean masculine head with a good fill of muzzle. Good lip line. Eyes dark and well placed. Ears well tipped and well placed. He has a good length of neck which sweeps into a good clean top line. His angulations are good both front and rear and he has lovely tight oval feet. Tail of good length and on the moved he was a pleasure to watch. BOB & BIS  
2nd Benton’s Ch Brackenhaye Queen Of Hearts Of Oakestelle. 5-year-old Tri Bitch also shown in lovely condition. Lovely clean head with a good tight lip line. Lovely dark well placed eyes with well placed tipped ears. She also has a good length of neck with a good clean top line. She is well balanced with good angulations. Her tail is of the correct length and on the move she was steady.
