COLLIE ROUGH

I thoroughly enjoyed my day judging this entry. I thought that the temperament and movement were much better, perhaps because the exhibits were happier with the stone floor here. I felt that some exhibits were a little short on leg for overall balance, but I had plenty of quality Collies to choose from. Many thanks to my stewards.

MPD:
1 Mejola Endeavour, 6-month sable, best for shape and balance in the class but needs to grow on and strengthen in the rear, good head planes; 2 Serenlas The Jokerman, 9 months, well grown and balanced, I preferred his head to the winner but ears are a little wide set, good front action, tail carriage needs to settle; 3 Paulara Ocean Raine at Geosamka. PD: 1 Gataj Strike It Lucky, 11-month sable who needs to grow on, beautiful head shape though I would prefer a wider underjaw, scored in front action and head here; 2 Very Super Black di Cambiano, 11-month tri with lovely body proportions, outline and length of leg, and a good profile stride, his head needs time, ears a little low set, good profile stride, front can fill out. 

JD:
1 Corydon The Baronet, 17-month tri with good body proportions and excellent bone, conformation and free-striding movement, good head planes with maximum stop, good eye, looks a teenager at the moment but full of quality, made the final cut in the challenge where I preferred the masculinity and maturity of those above him. 

YD:
1 Ingledene Absolute Legend, 21-month tri of good proportions with good bone and feet, well-angulated rear giving him low hocks and good drive, masculine quality head and good eye, in excellent coat, good rear action and carriage, not yet at his mature best but made the final cut for quality and type.

PGD: interesting class with close decisions,
1 Uffspring Undeniable, 2-year-old blue of lovely colour and size, I would prefer a little more neck to balance, good head planes and well-shaped eye but ears wide set, sound moving though could carry himself better; 2 Imaginist A Griffins Mark, 2-year-old tri who pleased me a lot for proportions with good outline and neck and a clean mover with good tail carriage, lacks rib and body at the moment and can do better with maturity; 3 Imaginist Superior Sun With Bearven. 

LD: a good class,
1 Mejola Top Gun, 2-year-old shaded sable who fits the general appearance clause of the breed standard, I liked his balance and movement, clean wedge-shaped head with very good eyes and ears, good size and balance, impressive movement for soundness and accuracy, never faltering in carriage and topline, shown in excellent coat, won the CC, his third, and later BOB; 2 Alfsden Endless Night, 4-year-old tri, I liked his proportions and movement and he was in good coat, preferred the head and earset of the winner, covered the ground well holding a good topline; 3 Siluto Blue Wizard at Amberwish. 

OD:
1 Ch Beldones Ivory Star, 18 months, makes an impressive picture standing and moving, his head is refined and full of quality, well-angulated at both ends producing excellent movement, carries himself well and carries a big coat, in the challenge I preferred the balance and carriage of the limit winner but a close call and happy to award Reserve CC; 2 Camanna Career Changing for Maqueeba, lovely type in this 6-year-old, appealed greatly for balance and head and expression but could not match the winner on the move; 3 Ch Alfsden He Lives in You. 

VD:
1 Androma Dreamcatcher at Serenlas, 7-year-old shaded sable with lovely balance and movement, clean head which could have a little more softness to the muzzle, good eyes and ears, shown in excellent condition; 2 Ambartr King of the Ring, year-old gold sable in excellent condition, I preferred his head to the winner for finish of muzzle, moves on a good stride but preferred croup and carriage of the winner; 3 Brooklynson Black Diamond with Dancol.

Special Beginners:
1 Essenjay Fields of Gold for Firesaga, 6-year-old shaded sable, a quality dog throughout, just a touch narrow in rear, scored in balance and tail carriage to win; 2 Hanvale Ralph Lauren, 2-year-old gold sable in lovely coat and condition, quality head and expression though I would prefer more leg for balance and his tail carriage spoiled the picture today; 3 Imaginist DS with Bearven. 

MPB:
1 Gataj Red Hot Love, 8-month sable, just right for age and full of quality, I liked her balance and conformation with very good ribcage, excellent movement and carriage, very sweet head and expression, I liked her enormously, Best Puppy; 2 Serenlas Dream Maker, 8-month sable, I liked her proportions and movement, lovely head and eye, smooth fluent stride, lovely long tail which needs to settle in carriage but lots to like; 3 Uffspring Unique Espoir. 

PB:
1 Gataj Struck by Love, 11-month sable of very good type with quality feminine head and good foreface, well ribbed with sufficient bone, can firm up in movement.

JB:
1 Gemheid May’d With Gold for Stregato, 17-month top-size bitch who won on balance and carriage, would prefer a little more chiselling to the head, very good stride and carriage; 2 Corydon Christiana, 17-month smaller bitch, could have a touch more leg for perfect balance, I preferred her head for balance and expression, accurate and scopey mover like all from this kennel but slightly tentative on the move otherwise could have won. 

JB (second class described):
1 Gemheid May’d of Gold with Gold for Stregato, 19-month tri with quality head and sweet expression, liked her proportions and profile stride though a little close in the rear, scored in neck, shoulder and topline to win; 2 No Name Given, 21-month blue, appealed in headpiece, good bone and ribcage but carrying too much weight which made her look heavy through the forehand on the move; 3 Wicani Bellissimarosschell.

PGB: good class for quality,
1 Afterhero Cheeky Angel at Wicani, 2-year-old blue with beautiful head and expression, scored on neck and carriage to win; 2 Ingledene Connie McBlack, tri with lovely stride, very good topline, good bone and chest, would prefer more upper arm but great style and carriage, lovely head and expression; 3 Chantique Ticketty Boo. 

LB: disappointing class,
1 Siluto Blueberry, 2-year-old blue who won on excellent movement at both ends, lacking coat but good proportions and quality feminine head; 2 Wicani Blue Myrabella, 4-year-old blue who looked the winner standing and has more bone than the winner, stronger head, very good rear but front action disappointing and decided placing. 

OB: lovely class of quality but low point of the day when a beautiful blue bitch which appealed immediately would not be handled, she is beautiful and could have changed the results of the day, I hope she is over this soon; 1 Chelborn Tell Me Your Wish, 3 years, beautiful proportions and lovely on the move, not overladen with coat which accentuated shape and topline, beautiful type throughout; 2 Beldones Magical Bliss, 5 years, in full coat which masked her shape, beautiful quality throughout with beautiful head and eye which is a touch more feminine than the winner, but I preferred the stride and topline of the winner; 3 Lilyway Lemon Breeze. 

VB:
1 Imaginist Willow Wren, 10-year-old tri of lovely shape and proportions, ultra-sound movement at both ends, excellent head and expression, Best Veteran; 2 Bellawave Caught in a Dream, 11-year-old tri, great advert for the breed, feminine head and lovely expression, not quite as strong in the rear as winner but retains much quality. 

Special Beginners: 1 C Ticketty Boo, sable bitch who was third in the good post-grad class, balanced and very sound with good carriage; 2 Timeless Destiny Star Actis over Barrenclough, 2-year-old sable who is a very good mover, not in best coat but has much type; 3 Carristii Summer Rhapsody.
