1st Barrs Roughrigg Ragnfrid. 2.5yr old sable and white, a very pretty girl a little unsure of herself. Nice overall headpiece , well shaped dark oblique set almond eyes and ears well placed and tipped give pleasing expression when she uses them. Good depth of ribcage, I would have liked a touch more length to her back to be picky. Well bent stifle and short hocks. Moving well in profile, parallel but a little to close in rear going away.
2nd Gee’s Ingledene So Tried To Be Blu. 3 year old tricolour, another who is unsure of herself. A very elegant female, appealing for her sweeping lines however I did find her a tad long in body/ shorter in leg length. Nice head , parallel head planes and lovely eye set and shape with ears just where you want them to be. Foreface could have been a little more filled. Lovely arch to neck. Body wise a little long and under developed in fore chest, narrow in the ribcage which was apparent when standing. Good side profile moving, going away kicks feet out a bit but otherwise moved freely.

1st and BOB Gee’s Ingledene Powdered Sugar. This 3 year old blue merle is super elegant and feminine. I was pleased to award her BOB the last time I judged, my opinion hasn’t changed. Such a clean, balanced head of good length , wedge shaped with correct stop, lovely foreface, clean cheeks and good underjaw. Warm, correctly shaped dark brown eye, with true collie expression with excellent ears, well set and tipped. Today her owner had to work a bit at times to keep them up and alert. Elegant flowing lines head to tail. Her strong, gracefully arched neck being a virtue of her’s, drawing the eye to her shape. Well made legs and body. Excellent feet and angulation with correct shoulder lay and elbow placement allowing easy front reach , complimented with excellent rear angulation for powerful yet graceful movement.
2nd Hobkirks Chantique Sugar Moon. This almost 4year old sable and white is very attractive and feminine and gave me cause for deliberation between the ladies today. She is moving the best I have seen her, being handled well at good pace. Presented in immaculate condition. The winner ultimately had the edge with shape in profile and ear placement today. Lovely wedge shaped head , correct head planes and a good fill to muzzle with decent underjaw. Body well made, good depth to ribcage and filling of fore chest, legs made of good bone. Good angulation front and back. Great movement in profile , effortless with reach and powerful drive, On occasion coming forward crossing and couldn’t quite find her tracking on the surface.
