East Anglian Collie Association Championship Show August 3rd 2025
Thank You for inviting me to this, for me, very special show. The venue is perfect, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I found the entry very varied. All very well presented and very good temperaments. Thank You to the exhibitors for accepting my decisions in a very sportsmanship way.
Veteran dog – 2 entries
Mrs J Williams’ Ch Mejola Fate And Fortune Shcex
9 year old blue dog in excellent condition. Good length of head with a flat scull and very good muzzle. Neat ears that were well carried. Excellent proportions in body with a very nice neck and sweep over loin. Very good bone and ribcage. Well angulated front and rear. Excellent coat texture. Moved with ease and good stability. Owner is keeping his teeth in mint condition, Thank you for that.

Attractive sable male with a very nice head. Beautiful eye and expression. Very good body proportions with a neck of good length and nice sweep over loin. Very good bone and ribcage and balanced angulation back and forth. Very good coat texture in summer condition. Moved well from all sides.
Minor Puppy Dog – 1 entry

9 months puppy full of life. Very happy in the ring and was really enjoying his day out. He is built on very nice lines and proportions, just needs his time to become an adult. Good length of head with nice plains. Dark eye. Very nice expression., Well carried ears. Excellent neck and topline, with that nice sweep over loin. Very good bone and ribcage. Good angulations back and forth. Very promising coat that was jet black. Good tail. Moved well for age. I really liked the way he was presented.

Sable male in his teenage stage. Good length of head but still need some development. Very nice eyes. Well carried ears. Excellent body proportions with a very nice neck and topline. Very good bone and ribcage. Balanced angulations back and forth. Excellent coat texture of suitable amount, following the outline. Movements are promising but still need some time to settle.

Tricolour male with a very nice outline. Very nice lines and proportions. Good length of head. Dark eyes and neat ears. Excellent neck. Very good angulations and excellent long tail. Very good coat texture. Movement is still under development but promising.

Very outgoing happy sable male. Good length of head with very good muzzle. Good stop and flat scull. Nice body proportions with a very good neck. Excellent bone and ribcage, Balanced angulations back and forth. Very attractive coat. He loved to move. A bit proud of his tail

Very promising tricolour that is almost finished maturing. Loved his head with really nice parallel plains and very fitting stop. Nice dark eye. Well carried ears. Excellent body proportions with a very good neck and topline. Well constructed. Excellent jet black coat in summer condition. Moved well from all sides with good reach and drive and good stability.

Tri dog in full bloom. Good length of head. Dark, very nice eyes. Well carried ears.Good proportions with a good neck and very nice sweep over loin. Good bone and ribcage. Big coat of very good texture. Movements still need some time to settle.

Smaller male, but still masculine. Good length of head, good muzzle. Very nice eye. Good proportions. Good neck. Good bobe and ribcage. Balanced angulations back and forth, Very nice coat texture. Still needs to settle in movements

Sable male in his prime. Immediately he caught my eye with his impressive movements. Very herding dog type, lowering the head and effortless. Good length of head with excellent muzzle and flat scull. Dark eye, good ears. Excellent proportions with a very good neck and sweep over loin. Very good bone and ribcage. Good angulations. Summer coat of very good texture.

Very attractive tricolour male in mint condition. Makes a handsome picture, nothing out of proportion. Excellent head with an excellent muzzle, fitting stop and good scull. Very nice dark eyes with lovely expression. Well set and carried ears. Excellent body proportions with very good neck and topline. Very well constructed making him flow around the ring with no effort at all and very efficient. Icing of the cake – Most beautiful, well presented coat of excellent texture.

I was very honored to be invited to judge these stakes. Barbara and I go back to start 80s. Many interesting meetings and discussions over the years. She was present for the first time I judged CCs at EACA
Noone was in doubt about what is my favorite in collies – blue bitches. All, but one, five placings out of the 18 entries (one absent) were blue bitches. The last was a blue male.

A blue china doll with a beautiful head and expression. Very feminine. In that junior coat that just was of perfect colour and in full bloom. Excellent neck and topline. Altogether well constructed and all in balance. Excellent presentation
