East Anglian Collie Association CH show 3/8/2025

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Best In Show at our show today , The weather held off most of the day and had been raining only just prior to BIS so were not too wet ,

My choice for Best In Show was the Rough Collie ,Phreelancer Pheel It Still , which I have not seen before lovely sable/white young lady just over 2 years old , I loved her shape, very feminine ,she has a lovely clean head looking from side or above ,stop in correct place ,eyes obliquely set using her ears all the time , lovely length of neck seated onto good lay of shoulders , good length of back with rise over loin , tail of good length and set well , good bend of stifle with short hocks , has lovely fitted coat and featherings enhancing the flow on the move , her movement was a joy to see and at one with handler, lovely in profile .

Reserve Best In Show was the Smooth Collie , Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle a B/M just over the year old , she has a lovely head clean lines all through , stop in correct place , she used her ears well , good moulding to her muzzle , good length of neck down to good lay of shoulder , decent length of back , good tail set ,her rear lovely powerful on the move , again at one with handler , she is credit to her owner .

Best opposite sex in show, and Best Veteran in show was the smooth Collie UK Port ESP Gib CH Winter is coming to Tentola , A B/M there is no mistaking on his sex a really nice size upstanding dog , you would’t believe his age , his head being clean all through , stop in correct place , lovely almond shaped eyes , using his ears well, good reach of neck with lovely depth of chest , good lay of shoulder , straight front legs , good length of back and good tail set , good bend of stifle with well let down hocks , powerful on the move .

Best Puppy In Show was the Rough Collie B/M Wicani Bellissima Rosschell, I saw this young lady at our last show and she took my eye then , having taken notice on her I can understand all the positive results ,so I was so pleased to actually get my hands on her and was not disappointed , her head is so clean all through with her stop in correct place lovely almond shape eyes obliquely set , her ears in correctly place and used all the time , good reach of neck onto good lay of shoulders, nice length of back with rise over loin, well bent stifles with well let down hocks , obviously will fill out as she matures , her movement was a delight to see again will improve with age .

Reserve Best Puppy In Show & Minor Puppy In Show Blamorder Starstruck Sable/White Smooth Collie at just 6 months old , quite raw at the moment just enjoying  her day , very nice pretty baby , very clean in head and stop in correct place , dark almond shape eyes and did use her ears well , very pleasing in profile , good reach of neck and shoulder placement , good length in body with good bend of stifle and well let down hocks , moved well with handler.

Best Veteran as written was BOSIS

Reserve Best Veteran In Show , Serenlas Heaven In Blu ,Rough Collie B , Nice clean in head stop in correct place , nice almond shape eyes ,ears in correct place , good reach of neck onto good lay of shoulders , nice length of back with rise over loin, good bend of stifle with well let down hocks , very nice profile , steady on the move but not quite as well as the smooth on the day .
