Rough Collie Bitches
I have been eagerly anticipating this appointment since it was first offered, and I am extremely grateful to Miranda and the committee for entrusting me with my very first opportunity to award Challenge Certificates. I was thrilled with the lovely entry and am truly grateful to all the exhibitors who trusted me with the privilege of judging their Rough Collies. Quality and presentation overall was good, I did notice a higher number than I would have liked with short tails.
Class 13 – Veteran Bitch 10 (1) This was a super class all of whom were a credit to be in such good condition in their senior years. 1. SERENLAS HEAVEN IN BLU – Mrs S Flower Just into veteran this blue merle was a splendid example of how a veteran can still move with elegance and drive. Her head is a clean wedge with a nice well-rounded foreface good ear placement giving a sweet feminine expression. Her overall shape is balanced which showed in her ability to move around the ring covering the ground effortlessly. Great to see her take BVIB and RBVIS. 2. CH BROOKLYNSON JANE RUSSELL OF OAKESTELLE VW SHCEX – Miss M K Benton 10 ½ year old sable who needs no introduction this lady puts in a presence. She stands beautifully holding her shape and outline. A feminine expression with well used ears on the move she was full of enthusiasm and had a lot to say which sometimes unbalances her. 3. SASSARI SNOW SHIMMER FOR TUDORLYN – Mrs L Philpin At 10 years old this blue merle appealed in head and expression, well placed eye and neat ears which she uses to her advantage, well angulated front and rear which showed as she moved well around the ring. 4. Class 14 – Minor Puppy Bitch 1 (1)
Class 15 – Puppy Bitch 4 1. WICANI BELLISSIMA ROSSCHELL – Miss M Davis & Mr J Walsh This young lady had instant appeal and ring presence. She is a super coloured blue merle with an excellent shape and profile. Her head handles well with a clean wedge, nicely shaped and placed eyes and well used ears. She has a good neck and a body of good length. On the move she had reach and drive holding a good topline. One I am sure we will see in the top house pleased to award her BP and see her take BPIS. 2. SASSARI MADE ME SWEET – Miss T Jackson Another blue mele youngster of quality, lovely head and expression, correct stop and well used ears. Good depth of chest and neat feet. Moved well around the ring just not the drive and extension of 1. 3. WICANI BELLADONNA - Miss M Gatt Litter sister to 1 this young tri is larger than her sibling and needs more time to mature. She has a good reach of neck, well used ears and has moderate angulation front and rear. She moved around the ring holding a good topline. 4. LENOSANN WILDEST DREAMS – Mrs D Vogan
Class 16 – Junior 4 (1) 1. TAKHISIS XTRAORDINARY LADY BWJ24 BEL JNR CH - Mrs S L Wray-Ramsden This tri is maturing slowly and steadily, she has a clean head lovely dark well-placed eyes, super ears which she uses constantly, good reach of neck and nice overall profile. On the move she covered the ground effortlessly holding a good topline. 2. LENOSANN SHAKE IT OFF – Mrs D Vogan Still a puppy this young lady just needs time her head is clean although stop needs to clear, good depth to chest and moderately angulated front and rear. Class 17 – Novice Bitch 5 (1) 1. PHREELANCER PHEEL IT STILL – Mrs L Newman Well this young sable lady made my heart skip a beat. She just stood and commanded my attention. Her stunning profile for me typified the elegance, balance and beauty I was looking for. She has a sweet feminine expression, well placed dark eyes enhanced by neat ears which she uses constantly. Well angulated front and rear which showed when on the move she made every step look effortless gliding around the ring an absolute pleasure to watch. I was delighted to present her with her first Challenge Certificate, and in agreement with my co judge award her BOB and ultimately BIS 2. TAKHISIS XTRAORDINARY LADY BWJ24 BEL JNR CH - Mrs S L Wray-Ramsden See previous 3. LADNAR YOURSTRULY AT POMNENKA – Mrs H Rodwell A quality blue merle very feminine in expression she has a clean head, nicely shaped and placed eye, ears were well used, she has a lovely reach of neck leading into good shoulders. On the move she just needs to settle to give her best and show her reach and drive. 4. LENOSANN WILDEST DREAMS – Mrs D Vogan
Class 18 – Yearling Bitch 5(3) 1. TAKHISIS XTRAORDINARY LADY BWJ24 BEL JNR CH - Mrs S L Wray-Ramsden See previous 2. CAMBROGAN’S BLISSFUL BARRA – Miss S Steven Tri of good size and substance, she has a feminine expression and good reach of neck flowing into a well-constructed and angulated front and rear, ample depth to chest. Good reach on the move just needs to settle into her stride.
Class 19 Post Graduate Bitch 8(2) 1. SILUTO SILVARY BLUE MOON – Mrs G Whitaker Very feminine blue merle of good colour, head handles cleanly with correct planes, good eye, correctly placed ears which she used to advantage and well-filled foreface. Nicely arched neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, with correct topline and length of back. Moved out soundly with good reach and drive. 2. LIBANEL EVERLASTING DEZIRE – Mrs L Dodsworth Blue merle feminine head of good length with correct stop and a sweet expression enhanced by well-set ears. Good bone, and arch to neck. Moderately angulated front and rear giving her the ability to move out soundly and confidently. 3. BRYLIN MAKE ME SMILE AT GARBH – Mrs S Pearson A petite tri ultra feminine with a sweet soft expression a little reluctant to use her ears and show herself, she had a good reach of neck, coat which was jet black, moderate angulations front and rear allowing her to move with purpose. 4. OAKLEY ICE QUEEN FOR KARAFAYE (IMP) – Mrs L Quince 5. SAMHAVEN SWEET SERENITY TO SASSARI – Miss T Jackson
Class 20 Mid Limit Bitch 3 1. CHELBORN TELL ME YOUR WISH – Mrs V Cronk A sable of femininity and elegance. Clean wedge head with correctly placed stop, dark wellshaped eyes giving sweet expression, and neat ears. Good neck flowing into a wellbalanced outline with excellent depth of chest and strong topline. Movement was light, free and effortless, covering the ground with ease 2. SILUTO BLUEBERRY MIST JW - Mrs G Whitaker Blue Merle lovely head and expression, correct stop good moulding to fore face and well used ears. Good depth of chest with neat feet. Moved well around ring holding good topline. 3. STREGATO MY SILVER TASSIE WITH GEMHEID – Mrs H Gallagher Blue merle of good size and substance, well boned with correct length of back to height ratio. A little to full in eye for me which gave a harshness to her expression, moved well.
Class 21 Limit Bitch 3 (1) 1. MAYSINDER SAPPHIRE REIGN – Mr D & Mrs M Beardsworth Well-shaped blue merle bitch of good colour and proportions, she has a good wedgeshaped head with pleasing expression and well-set ears. Adequate angulation front and rear allowing her to move steadily and easily around the ring. 2. THISTLEWING SPELL ON YOU – Mrs B Welsh This sable girl is full of femininity and elegance. Lovely clean head with correctly placed stop, sweet eye and neat ears. She has a balanced outline with good reach of neck, and depth of chest. Unfortunately, the change of handler seemed to unsettle her on the move
Class 22 Open Bitch 8 (3) 1. INT CH SKABONA HEAVEN CAN WAIT (SWED IMP) – Mrs V Cronk A very feminine blue merle with clean balanced head and sweet expression, well-placed stop, and correctly shaped eye. Ears well set and used to advantage. Good reach of neck flowing into strong, well-laid shoulders and firm topline, good depth of chest with correct spring of rib. Moved with precision and purpose, covering the ground with reach and drive while holding a pleasing outline. Pleased to award her the RCC and RBOB 2. THISTLEWING MAGIC LADY - Mrs B Welsh A beautiful sable of classic femininity and elegance. Lovely clean wedge head with correctly placed stop, dark well-shaped eyes, and neat ears which she used to her advantage. Good arch to neck and ample depth of chest. Moved well covering the ground with ease. 3. BEL CH TAKHISIS LADY OF MYSTERY BW24 - Mrs S L Wray-Ramsden A pretty sable bitch feminine head with a nice eye and ear carriage, giving a sweet expression. Balanced body with correct length of back and well-set tail. Movement was true, and effortless. 4. CAMBROGAN BLOWIN A HOOLIE AW(B) - Miss S Steven 5. L’INCREDIBILE BLU DI CAMBIANO DI CAMBIANO – A Vallerini
Class 23 Champion Bitch 4 (2) 1. GIB CH SERENLAS ANGEL OF CASATENTOLA – Mrs G Howard Pretty tri bitch with lovely clean head, correctly placed stop, sweet eye and neat ears, giving a most appealing expression. Balanced outline with good reach of neck, depth of chest and firm topline. Moved soundly and true. 2. INT CH SKABONA TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE – Mrs N Skalin Sable bitch, head a little longer than 1 which for me lost some of the sweetness and femininity in expression. Balanced body with good length of back. Moved out soundly with good reach and drive.
Class 24 Special Beginners 2 1. LADNAR YOURSTRULY AT POMNENKA – Mrs H Rodwell See previous for main critique. With the agreement of my co judge I was pleased to award her Best Special Beginner in breed and in show. 2. WICANI BELLADONNA - Miss M Gatt

Smooth Collies Class 25 Veteran Dog or Bitch 3 (2) 1. UK PORT ESP GIB CH WINTER IS COMING TO TENTOLA RE (IMP) – Mr N & Mrs A Smith For me this 9 year old male smooth is a sound and typical representative of the breed, combining quality construction with correct masculine expression and movement. He has a well filled foreface, good reach of neck, as his angulations suggests he moved with drive and purpose around the ring. BD, RBOB, BVIB and pleased to see him take BVIS and BOSIS
Class 26 Puppy Dog or Bitch 2(1) 1. BLAMORDER STARSTRUCK – Mrs R and Mr M Wensley Sable girl head developing well with clean lines and pleasing wedge. Well set eye giving a sweet intelligent expression. Good length of neck leading into developing front, sufficient bone, moved free around the ring with drive. BP and BMPIS
Class 27 Junior Dog or Bitch 2 (1) 1. BLAMORDER DOUBLE OR QUITS OF OAKESTELLE JW – Miss M K Benton & Mrs E Bemelmans This young blue merle girl has a pleasing outline, with the characteristic balance and elegance expected of the breed. Her head is clean and well-proportioned, with a refined wedge shape when viewed from the front and side. Her eyes are correctly placed, giving an intelligent, alert, and gentle feminine expression enhanced by well set and constantly used ears. Movement is smooth and effortless, with a good reaching stride in front and strong propulsion from behind, covering the ground with ease. Please to award her BOB and see her go on to RBIS
Class 28 Yearling Dog or Bitch 1 1. SHULUNE IMPERIAL INKHEART WITH CASATENTOLA – Mrs G Howard, Mr C Howard and Miss J Fort This young blue merle male is developing well he has good bone and substance on a soundly constructed body. Good moulding to foreface, nice well placed dark eye giving a masculine expression. Neck nicely arched flowing into well laid shoulders and strong wellmuscled hind quarters, on the move he had drive and covered the ground effortlessly. RBD
Class 29 Post Graduate Dog or Bitch 1(1) Class 30 Limit Dog or Bitch 1(1) Class 31 Open Dog 1 1. CH CONSTELLA HAZY COSMIC JIVE JW – Mrs R and Mr M Wensley A quality tri male whose coat was jet black, his head is a clean wedge and balanced, nice dark eye and masculine expression. Fair length of neck leading into well laid shoulders, good level topline and well-muscled. Just would prefer more of him overall.
Class 32 Open Bitch 2(1) 1. CH BRACKENHAYE QUEEN OF HEARTS OF OAKESTELLE – Miss M K Benton Tri girl who was super alert and attentive to her handler. Feminine head of correct proportions, clean wedge with slight but perceptible stop. Dark, almond-shaped eyes, well placed, giving the desired sweet and intelligent expression. Nicely angulated front and rear but on the move I found her a little close today.
