BRITISH COLLIE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW  01/03/25

It was a great honour to be asked to judge Rough Bitches at this prestigious club show, the hospitality could not have been bettered and I wish to thank everyone for making this a most enjoyable day.  I was delighted by the overall quality of the bitches and there were some very close decisions.  Presentation was first class as were the temperaments.  I must make a point of thanking my excellent stewards who kept things running smoothly.

VETERAN BITCH (5,3abs)
1   Benton’s  Ch Brooklynson Jane Russell Of Oakestelle VW ShCEX  Such a classy elegant  lady.  Presents a stunning typical outline, with lovely head pattern, great length of neck set into well angulated shoulder, correct topline, good rear and moves like a dream.  Well belies her 10 years of age.  2  Ross’  Danfrebek Dancin In The Dark  Very feminine.  Lovely head, dark well shaped eye, good neck and topline.  Excellent shoulder, good front, well ribbed, strong rear.  Was not happy today and this was reflected in her movement.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (5)
1   Gautrey’s  Chantique Pixie Ring  Very pretty s/w Head of good pattern, neat dark eye, , correct neck, front and shoulder.  Good topline, well ribbed back, lovely rear.  Moved well for age.      2  Congdon’s  Aaronwell Another Love  Very pretty, well coloured b/m.  Nice head, neck and front.  Excellent lay of shoulder and well arched feet.  Good ribs and topline. Just needs to balance up.  Moved well.  3  Mason’s  Willowcombe Dancing Angel With Lynocean

PUPPY BITCH (6, 2abs)

1. Lockyer’s  Gataj  All That Glitters  Quality s/w.  Fabulous head, eye and expression.  Super shoulder and front.  Well ribbed, deep chest, correct topline and well angulated rear.  Moved soundly.
2. Shipp’s  Tremaro Million Dollar Baby  Presents a lovely typical outline.  Head still needs to balance.  Excellent front and shoulder, well ribbed, good topline and rear.  Moved well on tight feet.  Shows lots of promise.
3. Ross’  Amberwish Black Magic

JUNIOR BITCH 5,1)
1  Lockyer’s  Gataj Exotic Girl  Nice head, dark eye, good neck and topline.  Okay front, well ribbed, correct rear.  Moved truly but lacked extension in front.  2   Watt’s  Culbrae Charmed Again  Pretty s/w.  Nicely balanced.  Good head, eye and expression.  Lovely length of neck, okay shoulder, well ribbed, good topline and rear.  Let down today but sloppy movement.     3  Well’s  Gataj Little Miss Sassy At Terelimon

CLASS: 16 - MAIDEN BITCH (2,1)
1  Bartram’s  Ambartr's Dignity and Pride  This s/w needs time to balance.  Very good neck and topline, okay shoulder and front. Well knuckled feet.  Moved okay.

CLASS: 17- NOVICE BITCH (4,1)
1  Tremaro Million Dollar Baby  2 Ross’  Samshernik Penny Lover  S/w with pretty head, neat dark eye, well placed ears when she decided to use them.  Good neck, front and shoulder.  Well ribbed and correct rear.  Lovely feet, moved well.  3   Bartram’s  Ambartr May Queen

1  Walder’s  Hanvale Patsy Stone JW  Loved this stylish well balanced s/w lady.  Real quality.  The prettiest of heads with a wonderful gentle expression.  Super neck set into well angulated shoulders.  Wonderful topline, well ribbed back, correct front and rear.  Excelled on the move which was foot perfect.  Well presented.  Res CC.   2  Tame’s  Gataj Time After Time At Rahlissa  another quality s/w.  Fabulous head, eye and expression.  Presents a typical outline.  Lovely neck, shoulder, front and ribs.  Goof topline and rear.  Moved well.  Liked her a lot.  3  Pearson’s  Brilyn Make Me Smile At Garbh

1  Shipp’s  Tremaro Kind Of Magic  Really pleased with the super outline of this pretty s/w.  Lovely head, gentle expression, neat eye.  Good reach of neck, great shoulder and topline.  Moved well with reach and power.   2  Whitaker’s   Siluto Blueberry Mist JW  Lovely b/m of very nice type and colour.  Pretty head and expression.  Good neck, front and shoulder. Correct topline and good rear.  Moved well.  3 Boyle’s  Timeless Destiny Star Actis Over Barrenclough Jw (IMP POL)

1  Patman’s  Riverside Song Ice Cream Girl (IMP ROM)  Attractive tri.  Lovely outline, well balanced, Nice head, eye and expression.  Good neck, front and shoulder. Correct topline and rear. Moved okay.  Well pr4esented   2  Hawkins & Foy’s  Beldones Magical Bliss  This s/w beauty stood out for balance and super head.  Lovely eye and expression, good reach of neck, nicely made front quarters, correct rear, well ribbed.  Lost out on very sloppy movement.  3   & Bluck’s  Edwards Paulara Lucy In The Sky For Elshajo

CLASS: 21 - LIMIT BITCH (9,2)
1 Lockyer’s   Gataj All That Sparkles Beautiful s/w of nice type.  Lovely head, eye and expression. Good reach of neck, super shoulder angulation, good front and well sprung ribs.  Well presented in good coat.  Moved truly with reach and power. 
2 Walder’s   Roughrigg Red Lagertha JW  Eye catching shaded s/w who presents a lovely outline.  Attractive headpiece, good eye and ears.  Nice neck, well ribbed, good rear.  Moves smoothly.     3  Ross’  Most Majestic Timeless Touch At Samshernik (IMP HUN) 

CLASS: 22 - OPEN BITCH (6,1)
1 McCarte’s   Roughrigg Remember Me  This very attractive s/w stood out for breed type and balance.  Very pretty, dark expressive eyes, lovely reach of neck set into correctly angulated shoulders.  Lovely topline, good front, well ribbed, well muscled rear.  Moved smoothly and effortlessly.  Well presented.  BCC  2  Mellish’s  Demelewis Double Take Nicely   A tri I have admired in the past.  Lovely balance, Good head, nice neck, well angulated shoulder,  good front and ribs.  Lovely topline, strong rear.  Excels on the move.  3  LLexellyn’s  Artzaiak Strawberry Rose For Salsina (IMP ESP)
