I had a quality entry of 54 dogs for Collie Roughs some stunning dogs and bitches. A couple do need to get right down into the coat to take out the knots and thickness, and a few do need to up the toning of their dogs with some road walking or exercise to look beautiful but fall down on poor muscle tone and rear action. SPECIAL BEGINNER (2) 1 Mills’ Samhaven Super Natural At Willowcombe Nice size and overall balance to this attractively marked blue merle and tan. Very smart clean lines to her feminine head, well positioned and used ears, dark eyes. correct jaw, nice neck to shoulders, topline held ok just a little soft due to the fact she was carrying a little too much weight, nice front angulation and good return of stifle and strong hocks. Nice balanced legs and feet and very sound free mover with correct front action and rear drive and side gait with out the weight should do well. Best Sp Beg. 2 Waltons’ Sessari Smudge 2.5 year old for me he looked a little unbalanced on the stack he looked long, on going over found him needing much more weight which would fill his frame. Presented in a tri coloured jacket. Smart clean lines to his masculine head, nice ear set, dark alert kind eyes, Good neck to shoulder and level backline to tail well set and carried. A Little short in rib leaving him a long loin. Needs more front angulation and depth t chest, would like more muscle tone in his hindquarters, as when he moved out he was very close at hock.
MPD (1) 1 Bolts’ Gataj Bonne Eddie stunning 6 month old baby puppy full of confidence and such a lovely type, today he gave way so much to the older babies but he is certainly going to have a show ring future. Loved his size and outline for his age, presented in a well groomed Sable and white coat of lovely texture which fitted him well. Head of good shape for his age with nice cleanliness, sweet cheeky expression from dark nice sized eyes slight stop and nice jaw line, Good neck length into shoulders well laid, a firm backline and rump and tail. Well bodied with depth and substance. Good legs and compact feet, enough tone for his age moving him so soundly both ways.
PD (3) 1 Harris’ Geosamka Loves To Love headed a lovely class of youngster certainly giving the breed a good future. 10 months well grown with a stunning head, lovely clean lines well positioned slight stop separating his nice open dark alert eyes, well used ears, strong jaw line and blunt finish. Super slightly arched neck into clean shouldrs set well into a firm backline with correct rise over his loin to strong rump and well set on furnished tail. Lovely depth to his chest and well angulated front, lovely body substance well ribbed back into a short loin, musculat hindquarters and let down hocks, presented in a well groomed shaded sable and white coat of lovely length and harsh texure. Covered the ground really well with nice stride and sound forward and good rear drive and so sound. BPd BPIB 2 Lockyers’ Gataj Lewis Capaldi another super puppy had the most lovely outline and overall balance he was slightly smaller in height than my winner and his presentation and coat condition was perfect, lovely sable and white of a harsh texture and good length and undercoat. Masculine enough having a balanced head with nice dark eyes, I woud have liked them little more open, nice ears set and use. Correct jaw and blunt finish. Holds head proudly on good length of neck, well laid shoulders and a firm correct topline and rump to a well set and carried tail. Lovely front and rear angles of a good body that was well ribbed back with a short loin. JD (4) 1 Toogoods’ Hanvale Ralph Lauren I loved the outline and look of this 13 month old youngster. Lovely height, so well bodied and balanced, a body having depth, substance and muscle tone with ribs well sprung back into a short strong loin. His presentation was perfect, lovely texture, length and undercoat to a shaded rich sable and white well fitted jacket. True collie head, lovely clean lines, nice open dark expressive eyes, well set ears. Slight stop well positioned, nice jaw line and good dentition. Holds head proudly on long slightly arched neck, correct set shoulders, firm topline with slight arching over his loin, good rump to set on tail. YD (2) 1 Hanvale Ralph Lauren 2 Collins’ Triburie The Joker A stronger built 18 month old. with a strong skull retaining clean lines to a wedge shape head of a balanced length. Would have better expression if he used his ears, good open dark eyes, nice central stop, good jaw line and dentition. Strong neck of good length, well laid back shoulders, correct backline and well set tail. Would have liked a better developed front and depth to his chest, has a nice toned body well ribbed back. Lovely presentation to a well groomed sable and white double coat. Good strength to his hindquarters with a return of stifle and let down hocks. Moved out well with a good side stride and has a powerful sound reach and drive.
PGD (3) 1 Blakes’ Corydon Christopher A very impressive 19 month old youngster with a lovely balanced outline of a good size and stands covering the ground well and works well with his handler. Has a quality balanced head with clean lines, well set small used ears, slight central stop separated his open dark expressive eyes. Good jaw and correct dentition. Has a proud head carriage on a good arched muscled neck, well set into shoulders a firm short correct backline with slight rise over his loin, good rump and well set furnished tail. A well presented, fitted sable and white coat of lovely texture and length with good undercoat. A body with depth and substance and depth to his chest, well sprung back ribs into a short loin. Muscular hindquarters with good return of stifle and let down hocks, has a free moving sound action front and rear drive. RDCC 2 Bolts’revdvicki’s Raffles At Chelborn very attractive well presented tri coloured coat with good texture and nice undercoat. For a 2 year old boy would have liked a better temperament, or maybe he has been badly handled. Not my type of head, stronger in skull and shorter in foreface. stop separated his open dark well shaped eyes, nice arched neck to shoulder, firm correctly shaped back, tail set a little high and carried high on the move. Good deep body with nice angles front and rear with tone and being well ribbed back into a strong loin. LD (6) 1 Lockyers’ Gataj Turn Back Time this stunning quality dog headed a very stylish class. Stood well covering the ground and working so well with his handler. For me he had a lovely clean wedge shaped head, well set on and used ears, a balanced length that was separated by a slight stop and his dark alert eyes, might be a tad larger, correct foreface strong under jaw. Super firm back correctly shaped, to a correctly set tail. An angulated deep body with well sprung ribs back into a short strong loin. His grooming and presentation was excellent being of correct length and texture, a rich shaded sable and white coat that fitted his body well with nice neck ruff. A stylish and soundest class mover. Balanced and well boned legs and tight feet having the correct reach and sound rear drive with well set and carried tail. My DCC BOB and I understand his crowning CC Congratulations. 2 Hodges’ Jopium Love On The Rocks Very smart and outstanding well built male of good height and build and stood covering the ground well, with an impressive look. Lovely angles front and rear of his body having depth and substance and being well ribbed back. A lovely well fitted Tri coat of harsh thickness and texture. Lovely boned legs and compact feet, he is a sound free mover but fails to put that little extra into his stride and drive. 2 Allsopps’ Aqualita Its A Miracle I judged this boy two years ago and he has matured into a lovely strongly built masculine dog, but still felt he needed that little extra development to beat the CH. Smart looking dog on the stance and nice to go over being well groomed and presented in a harsh dense well marked Tri coat with good undercoat. Well shaped clean wedge shaped head , nice ears could be used slightly better, his expression is good to dark correctly shaped eyes, slight stop, balanced foreface blunt finsh. Holds head proudly on an arched neck of enough length, sloping shoulders into a correct backline with slight rise over his loin a nice rump and well set on and carried tail. Good overall size and balance to this very happy 7 year old impressive dog, although he stood alone he stands giving that here I am attitude holding a very proud head carriage on the stance and working well with his handler. Presented in a conditioned shaded sable and white jacket with lovely harsh feel, good density and undercoat. Lovely head of correct balanced with clean lines, dark well shaped eyes, nice slight stop, correct jaw line and good dentition for his age. Arched neck with good ruff, neck set well into shoulders and firm backline. A nice body with substance and well ribbed. Nicely boned legs and compact feet. Still retains good muscle tone throughout showed in his sound free movement with good front stride and rear drive. Tail set well just could be held better. Very smart on the stance of a lovely size and balance for her age, having a lovely body and shape just needing time to fill a frame that is so well angled front and rear. Pretty feminine well built and balanced head with nice clean lines, well used small ears, dark alert cheeky eyes of good size. Good arched neck, sloping shoulders and a short back correctly shaped, well set and carrried happy tail. Beautifully groomed attractively marked sable and white double coat. Nice legs and feet, very free mover with nice action, tail set well just could be carried lower but she was enjoying her day.

Nice front and rear angles of a body having substance with ribs well sprung, all covered in a stunning dense harsh sable and white jacket. Nice hindquarters having tone for her age, lovely boned legs and compact feet, moved her so positively and so soundly into her place. BPB 2 Flowers’ Serenias Truly Scrumptious slightly different shape and size to this more mature 11 month old youngster, just looking fraction too long on the stance. Feminine in look to her clean lined head which was slightly unbalanced being longer in her foreface. Well set small used ears, nice open dark expressive eyes. Holds head well on a nicely balanced arched neck, nice shoulders, firm back could have more rise over her loin, good rump and well set on tail. Nice depth and enough front angulation to her body that had depth and sprung ribs needing to be further back into a longer loin. Strong toned hindquarters and good return of stifle and let down hocks. Presented well in a lovely conditioned and textured shaded sable and white coat. Nice legs and feet, a stylish sound mover with good rear dirve.

Held her head proudly on a moderate arched neck, into clean sloping shoulders firm correct backlone with slight rise over her loin and strong rump to a well set and well furnished tail. Lovely angles front and rear, good deep body well ribbed back into a short strong loin. Super harsh deep double Tri coloured jacket. Strongly developed quarters with good return of stifle and let down hocks stylish sound free mover with correct forward reach and powerful rear drive. LB (4,1) 1 Flowers’ Serenias Pumpkin Spice JW Looked very smart on the stance and I liked her size and overall balance on going over she had a lovely depth of body and her coat was a of a lovely texture with good undercoat and her shaded sable and white coat fitted her body correctly. I felt her head was not balanced enough for me, a nice flat skull and well set apart small alert ears, slight stop seperated her nicely shaped open eyes but her foreface was a little long a narrow. Proud head carriage on a good slightly arched neck into firm shoulders and level back with correct rise over her loin with strong rump and well set tail. Strong well angulated front with depth and a muscular rear with good return of stifle and let down hocks. Balanced legs and nice bone, with correct feet and well padded. Very sound free mover with a lovely side gait and sound fore action and drive from behind. 2 Wares’ Wassail Call The Midwife Another lovely looking girl on the stance. Very swet attractive feminine head with nice wedge shape and clean lines, nice flat skull and width with correctly set small well used ears, sweet expression from her dark nicely shaped eyes, slight stop balancd foreface with a good blunt muzzle. Strong neck to shoulder, firm topline with slight rise over her loin and strong rump. Would have liked more depth of chest and front angulation to her body that did have substance and was carrying enough body weight, beautiful sable and white coat covered her body. Such a beautiful balanced head with true clean lines, a good flat skull, small set apart ears well used giving a sweet expression to her dark open eyes, nice stop, blunt end to her foreface. Proud head carriage on a good slightly arched neck with length set into sloping shoulders into a firm correct topline, strong rump and well set and carried nicely furnished tail. Super outline to her correctly shaped and muscled body, so well ribbed back, presented so well in a lovely groomed most beautiful shaded sable and white fitted coat. Lovely balanced and well boned legs a with tight compact well padded feet. Looked so stylish on the move working well with her handler, she was such a very sound free mover with perfect front action and rear powerful drive. BCC BOS Delighted also to learn the following day at the East Anglian Club Champ show she gained her 4th CC 2 Geddes’ Ingledene Sno Wanda I do love this kennels blue merles, they are so similar and in such good coats, this girl has such a well fitted jacket with correct merle markings. I loved this bitches wedge shaped head so refined with clean lines, lovely flat skull with well set apart small ears, these could be used to advantage as not using them spoils her expression, beautiful set and shaped eyes, nice slight stop, good jaw strength with a blunt end. Lovely neck well shaped and set into her sloping shoulders and firm level backline with that correct rise over her loin and strong rump with well set tail. Super front and rear angles to her well shaped and toned body with nice rib cage and strong short loin. Muscular hindquarters, nice return and let down hocks. VB (2,1) 1 Shipps’ Ch Gillyflower Delia Buca Delie Fate (Imp Ita) very beautiful older lady in her 8th year, loved her size and overall shape and balance. She looked very impressive on the stance as she worked well with her handler. Very pretty correctly shaped with clean lines to her head, Flat skull and well set apart small used ears, slight stop separated her dark expressive open eyes which were still bright, having a strong jaw and correct dentition. Strong moderate neck slightly arched. Good shoulders firm backline correct rise over her loin, rump with well set tail. Lovely body having correct angles front and rear her chest has depth as does her body with good weight and so nicely ribbed back into a short strong loin. Groomed out well and in a lovely textures rich shaded sable and white dense double coat. Muscular hindquarters, correct stifle and strong hocks with her well boned legs she still moved out soundly with good forward reach and rear drive. BVB BOSV
