SAC Classes
I would like to thank the committee, members and exhibitors, who put on a lovely show, which had an excellent atmosphere. I am always grateful for the opportunity to learn about this wonderful breed and this was the 2nd time I have judged SAC classes at a club show. There were some really lovely dogs on show, and although a few absentees in Junior, I still had some excellent youngsters who I will watch with interest. I thank the exhibitors for accepting my decisions in great spirit and look forward to meeting you all again in the future.
Special Award JD/B (8/6) 1. Lockyer Gataj Exotic Girl 81/2 month Sable female, nice size for age and well proportioned. Loved her expression, spot on with her eye shape, earset, good strong muzzle coming, giving her that required sweet expression, good length to neck set well on well laid shoulders, level in back and already with a nice spring to her ribs, plenty of angle of stifle matching her front, needs to firm up going, which will come as she muscles up, showed well coming and correct footfall in profile. One to watch with interest. 2. Skinner Ladnar Make it happen for Nikal 17m merle male, who I do like and has come on well since I saw him as a puppy, good in headpiece, muzzle has good length and strength to underjaw, well-shaped eye and good set to ears, he benefits from good length of foreleg and has enough width and depth to his chest, he holds a good topline but could do with a little more substance to his body to match his size. He moved well out and back and his well-muscled thighs enabled him to show some nice drive, something his handler has obviously worked on to good effect.
PGD/B (6/0) 1. Phillips Essenjay Against all Odds A very nice 4 year tri male of lovely size with substance and a full coat to create a lovely picture. A strong and long head to match his size, lovely, dark, well-shaped eyes, plenty of neck set on well laid shoulders and excellent depth to chest, good length of foreleg and angle of stifle meant he held a very good topline, moved cleanly going and showed some good reach and drive in profile. 2. Lockyer Salsina’s Red Hot Crush with Gataj. At 10 ½ months this sable male was needed a bit more time to compete with the class winner, but has so much going for him, really lovely type, well moulded headpiece, with flat cheeks, correct in bite, with a lovely dark almond shaped eye and well set ears that had a lovely tip, well angled front and back, held a good topline and was well ribbed, showed well in profile and as with most pups in this breed just needs time to firm up his rear. 3. Beardsworth Maysinder Sapphire Reign
OD/B (6/2) 1. Lockyer Gataj Good Time Girl 3 1/2 year sable female, Another I have met before, I loved her then and she didn’t disappoint today. She presents a superb outline in such lovely proportions. Such a sweet expression, strong in underjaw, lovely dark almond eyes, well moulded and with the correct amount of stop, well set and well tipped ears create a lovely front-on picture, typical for the breed. A well arched neck to excellent front, good depth and width of chest, a lovely level back to a slight loin rise, well set croup, plenty of bone and lovely feet. Showed almost perfect footfall and plenty of reach and drive. 2. Edwards Corsian French Tease from Shulne. 6 year old sable female who I liked a lot as she was well put together with great balance, lovely sweet expression, head had a classic wedge, she was well angled in front with plenty of depth and width to chest, held a super topline and had plenty of stifle angle, moved correctly, steadily giving the impression she could work for hours. 3. Edwards & Bluck Paulara Lucy in the sky for Elshajo
