Smooth Collies

Thank you very much to the committee of the Collie Club of Wales for inviting me to judge the Smooth Collies at this lovely, well
run show.
Thank you to my two efficient stewards Marina and Stephanie and everyone in the kitchen for the wonderful hospitality.
Although numerically small in numbers it was a pleasure to see a range of age and experience from promising youngsters to the more seasoned exhibits.
Baby Puppy D/B (2)
1 Thomas - Blamorder Side Hustle with Mournebrake - 5 month tri colour dog puppy who was well grown for his age. Good bone and substance, strong legs and neat feet. Head is of good length with enough stop and used his ears well . Moved well for his age . Won this place on maturity.
2. Watkins - Blamorder Unlucky for Some - litter sister to 1st and less developed being finer all through than her brother. However she has a lovely outline and pleasing head with well placed and used ears and sweet dark eyes . Moved well. I think that this young lady when fully developed should have a bright future.

Limit Dog (1)
1 - Martin - Shandlmain Blu Chief - 5yr old mature b/m dog with a good length of head, well rounded muzzle and good underjaw. Dark eyes and well used ears. Good depth of chest and sound in body and substance. Moved well, just found him too strong in skull for me. Res Best Dog .

Open Dog (1)
Martin - Sturtmoor Arceus's Legacy JW - 17 month old s/w dog who is now going through his teenage phase. He has a good head with parallel planes and correct stop. Good muzzle and underjaw, pleasing eye . Well angulated front and rear and moved really well . Very well presented and should, I feel , really come into his own with a few more months of maturity. Best Dog

Special Yearling Bitch (1)
Cole & Fort - Shulune Imperial Rum Punch - almost 12 months tri -colour puppy of very pleasing type . Lovely head with correct stop , well set and used ears , sweet dark eyes and nice expression. Good neck and topline , well balanced all through . Well set tail, showed and moved well . Best Puppy

Two lovely females of differing types
Denton - Ch. Brackenhaye Heart and Soul - really lovely 4 year old tri colour. Super head with correct stop, good muzzle and underjaw, flat skull , well placed and used ears and sweet eye and expression. Good neck and length of back, sound legs and neat feet. Beautifully balanced throughout, moved well BOB and BIS
Beeney's - Coneypark Golden Brown - 5 year old s/w who is shorter in back and stronger in head than 1st but is still well balanced. Skull is flat, correct stop and good muzzle . Well used ears and nice expression . Good body with deep chest, good bone and substance. Showed really well and presented in harsh coat . Moved well behind but a little loose in front today . Res Best Bitch
