Thank you to the committee of the British Collie Club for inviting me to judge at this show as a late replacement for the Best In Show judge .

BIS This was a very difficult decision for me as both exhibits held plus and minus points so my final choice was made on breed type .

Blaikie's Kourika The Gigola - a junior Rough male of excellent colour blue . He has a typical well balanced head with a good muzzle and underjaw, correct stop, neat well used ears and lovely eye and expression. Good neck and shoulder, good bone and neat feet . He has a good body and length to his back, deep chest and well sprung ribs .
His front movement was ok when he got into his stride but needs improvement at the rear, which I hope will come with maturity. BIS

Seager- Blamorder Magic Maker with Freejack JW - an upstanding Smooth sable/white male of top size .
Head of good length with slight stop and good ear set but would prefer a softer expression.
Good neck and front assembly ,good body and outline and well muscled rear.
Today he was giving his handler a hard time and not moving as his construction suggests . I'm sure this is not always the case .Res BIS

Benton & Bemelmans-Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle - I was immediately taken with this delightful Smooth blue merle girl of 6 months. Obviously slightly overawed by the proceedings but still managed to show off her many charms.
Well balanced with a lovely head and delightful expression. Good outline and moved really well for her age. I am sure she is destined for a great future. BPIS
Walden's- Roughrigg The Life of Riley at Hanvale - a very nice Rough male puppy of 8 months in good coat and lovely condition. Pleasing head , good neck and outline, good body and bone .Stood showed and moved well , just not the instant appeal of the Smooth puppy for me Res BPIS

Benton's - Ch Oakestelle Artemis ShCExVW- a 7 year old blue merle Smooth female who is an obvious seasoned campaigner. Never takes her eyes off her handler , standing correctly with ears on top of her well balanced head. Good neck and topline, well constructed fore and aft , moved really well with enthusiasm. BVIS
Milligan & Marley - Ladner Trust In Me for Alfsden JW- haven't seen this 7 year old b/m Rough girl for a long time but really liked her. Balanced head with clean stop and sweet eye . Good body and substance and nicely constructed .Coat is in good condition and lovely colour .Moved well , just reluctant to use her ears in order to complete the picture . Res BVIS
