Rough Collies
Thank you to the exhibitors for a wonderful entry and to my stewards for keeping things running smoothly. I feel I must remind exhibitors to clean your dogs teeth!

Puppy dog or bitch (2 entries 1 absent)
1) Wray-Ramsden's TAKHISIS DAGGERS AT DAWN. Sable dog of almost 12 months, a lovely size  with masculine outlook. He was presented immaculately, and he has ring presence. Lovely length to height body proportions and a super long arched neck, he has the advantage of not being over coated so we can all see his elegant outline! Balanced head with strong underjaw. Attentive to both his handler and his surroundings, neat  ears and lovely soft intelligent expression. Moved effortlessly around the ring. He took BPIB with ease and I was thrilled to see him win the pastoral puppy group and later reserve best  puppy in show. Well done.

Junior dog or bitch (5 entries, 1 absent)
1) TAKHISIS DAGGERS AT DAWN
2) Bartram's AMBARTR MAY QUEEN rich red sable bitch of 13 months. A slow matururer but I am sure she will be worth the wait. Head is very clean through the cheeks and topped with lovely ears, she has a dignified  expression. Elegantly constructed but needs time to musc le up  and settle on the move.

Post graduate Dog or Bitch (4 entries)
1) Moore's AQUALITA DREAM COME TRUE 3 year old sable girl between coats but showing off a lovely outline. Firm body condition she excelled on the move, powering around the ring effortlessly with long stride,  drive from the rear and always maintaining a level topline. Feminine but with adequate substance, pretty feminine head and beautiful expression. Ears  on top. In the challenge her movement was faultless, I couldn't deny her the top spot against hot competition. BOB well done
2) Whitaker's SILUTO BLUEBERRY MIST petite bitch of 19 months, a blue merle coat of glorious colour! Good overall body shape with elegant lines. Sweet expression but would prefer ears to be tighter and my preference would be to  see a tad more size and substance. Moved well.

Open dog or Bitch ( 6 entries, 1 absent)
1) Howard's SERENLAS ANGEL OF CASATENTOLA  Pretty feminine tricolour bitch  showing off her lovely arch of neck and elegant flowing body lines. In super coat condition. Refined head of balanced proportions, tight lip line and decent chin. Neat ears and pretty expression  enhanced by her wonderful showmanship, she is very attentive to her handler. Moved collectively with style. RBOB Well done
2) Collino's IMAGINIST PERFECT PITCH Sable bitch just coming into coat which was fresh and shining. Plenty of substance which I love but carrying a little too much weight. Surprisingly it didn't prevent her moving out well! She has a super head, very clean through the cheeks with well filled muzzle, excellent ears and a lovely expression.

Puppy Dog or Bitch (1 entry)  
1) Howard and Fort's SHULUNE IMPERIAL INKHEART WITH CASATENTOLA Masculine well boned puppy of just 7 months, a real eye catcher. Clean head with well filled muzzle and strong under-jaw. Intelligent expression. Lovely flowing body proportions and super long tail. Moved  well. Best Puppy Well done

Post graduate Dog or Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1) Glover's STORMSETT SERENDIPITY Tricolour bitch of nice size. Good head pattern, clean through cheeks and flat skull although slightly deep from brow to jaw. Very well muscled, she moved out very well once she had settled.

Open Dog or Bitch (3 entries)
1) Cowlings KOCZKODAN SERENITY . 7 year old tricolour bitch in sparkling black jacket. Excellent outline, her beautiful front angulation was clear to see. Balanced throughout. Feminine head of the type I love, refined and with length. Lovely  ear carriage  and expression. Very  tight on the move, she didn't put a paw wrong. I was thrilled to discover later that she is a  daughter of one of my favourite smooth bitches. BOB, Pastoral Group 3 and Pastoral Veteran Group 1.  Well done.
