THE LONDON COLLIE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

Firstly I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Rough Collie bitches at their Championship show. This is a lovely outdoor show with a relaxed atmosphere unfortunately the sun gods didn’t appear today but thankfully the rain stayed off.

Most of the girls were in good condition and presented in tip top condition.... However there were a few with dirty teeth a couple that had missing teeth & some of the ladies could benefit from losing a few pounds as this affected their movement.

Having said that I was pleased with my overall entry.

The day started with BABY PUPPY CLASS and I had two beautiful S/W Smooth collie puppies litter brother and sister of 5 months.
1st LUSTYS , BLAMORDER THAT’S LUSH , & Lush she is. Very confident for her age, Developing nicely. She has a nice clean head, lovely expression, good angles fore and aft, in lovely condition and moved well for one so young. Pleased to award her Best Baby Puppy in Show
2nd FULLERS , BLAMORDER MISCHIEF MANAGED , similar remarks to litter sister, he just needs a little more time to come together & for his handler to gain more confidence which I’m sure will come with time.
Now onto the ROUGH COLLIE BITCHES .

MINOR PUPPY. 4(1a)
1st, LOCKYERS , GATAJ EXOTIC GIRL . 7mth S/W who has a nice head although I would prefer a tad more moulding she has a nice eye & uses her neat ears to her advantage. Good length of neck into nice shoulders, good top line & body , good bone nice tight feet & moved positively, turned out in good condition & presentation. I understand this was her first show congratulations on BPB.
2nd, TIPPERS , TIGANLEA TRUE TO YOU . 6mth Tricolour who I liked a lot. I preferred her moulding but the floppy ear distracted from her expression. She has a lovely length of neck, nice angles fore & aft,  lovely bone nice tight feet, presented in good condition moved well.
3rd,BARNESMORE , AQUALITA MAGICAL WINTER .

PUPPY, 4(2a).
1st, WALDERS , HANVALE PATSY STONE . 11mth S/W in good coat & condition, she has a lovely dreaming expression coming from correctly placed dark eyes, neat ears which she knew how to use, she has lovely moulding to foreface, good under jaw, nice neck to shoulders & length of back, good bone & tailset, moved well in this class but threw it away in the challenge for BPB.
2nd, GROWCOTTS , CHANTIQUE SENT FROM HEAVEN FOR LILLWAY . 9mth S/W finner in head that one, she has a nice eye, ears were used to her advantage I would prefer more moulding to foreface & would prefer a tighter fitted coat to enhance her conformation. Having said that she has a nice length of neck into good body length, nice bone & moved OK.

JUNIOR 4(1a)
1st, CRONKS , SKABONA IF I SAW YOU IN HEAVEN FOR CHELBORN (IMP SWE) 17mth B/M in good coat & condition. This young lady stood out for her beautiful shape, she has a lovely clean head of good length, nice dark eye, neat well used ears, good strong neck into good shoulders & length of back, enough bone lovely short hocks & she moved with ease. Groomed to perfection.  Pushed hard for the CC just had to give way to a more mature bitch pleased to award her RCC, RBOB. I’m sure her day will come.

1st, CRONKS , CHELBORN TELL ME YOUR WISH . S/W with a nice overall shape, I liked her head which is clean & balanced she has a sweet eye & neat ears which she used well, good neck, shoulders & length of back, moved well on short strong hocks. Just needs a tad more coat to complete the picture.
2nd, WALDERS , ROUGHRIGG RED LAGERTHA JW, slightly smaller although than one. Nicely balanced head with dark eye’s & neat ears, good neck, length of back, good bone & lovely short hocks moved well.
3rd, SWAINS , A TOUCH of BLAZE FOR LEXCOL .

1st, SCOTT’S , TORRINO RENESMEE FOR CHANTIQUE (IMP ITA) B/M who is a beautiful clear colour just coming back into coat, her head is of a nice length with very good moulding, nice dark eyes, ears bang on top giving her a lovely expression, good length of neck to nice shoulder and body, short hocks & moved OK. I would prefer her to be showed on a loose lead to enhance her shape.
2nd, JACKSONS, SAMHAVEN SAVING GRACE  TO SASSARI , At first glance I thought this exhibit was my class winner unfortunately she didn’t really want to be here today. Having said that she is a beautiful Tri with a lovely shape, her head is of good length nice & clean, lovely dark eye with a sweet expression, good length of neck, nice body length strong bone short hocks & neat feet, move steadily.
3rd, COLLINS , TRIBURLE SEREN DLOS .

MID LIMIT, 4(4).

1st, LLEWELLYNS , STARLENGA NINA SIMONE . Beautiful B/M with a lovely shape, good bone, neat feet & nice short hocks, her head is of a nice length with good moulding & under jaw, she has the sweetest of expression for a Merle coming from her correct eye placement & ear carage, moved well. I’m sure she will go far once her new wardrobe arrives.
2nd, GROWCOTTS , LILLWAY LEMON BREEZE . Pretty Tricolour that I have judged before & has matured nicely. Similar remarks to one, she has a nice clean head sweet expression, good length of neck & body, strong bone showed & moved well. I just perfered the overall picture of one.
3rd, TAMES , RIVERSIDE SONG XTRA SWEET At RAHLISSA (IMP ROM)

1ST, WHITE’S , MEJOLA MAIN EVENT t JW.... she certainly was The Main Event BCC, BOB, BIS it doesn’t get any better than that! She is a Beautiful Shaded S/W that screamed standard to me. Taking in the whole picture she just flows from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail . She has a clean head of good length nice moulding & good under jaw, nice dark eyes correctly placed ears all combined to give her a sweet expression, she has a neck to die for into good shoulders & length of back, good bone tight feet & short hocks, when asked to move she took full advantage of the ring to show off her effortless movement, presented in tip top condition & groomed to perfection. I understand this CC now takes her to the upper house which she so richly deserves. Thank you for bringing her under me.
2nd, CONGDONS, RIVERSIDE SONG DESIDERATA AT AAONWELL (IMP ROM) Shaded S/W with a nice body shape, good length of neck into good shoulders & body she has nice bone & short hocks that enables her to move with drive. Her head handles well with nice dark eyes & neat ears, in good coat & condition moved well, unlucky to meet one.
3rd, LLEWELLYNS, ARTZAIAK STRAWBERRY ROSE FOR SALSINA (IMP ESP)

VETERAN 5(2a)
1st, NEWMANS, CH, PHREELANCER PHAITH HILL. 7yr Tricolour at the top end for size in good coat & condition, her head is clean & of good length with a nice eye neat ears good under jaw & moulding, good length of neck into good shoulders & body, strong bone with nice tight feet & short hocks, on the move she keeps a good top line with good forward reach but a tad close on the rear. Beautifully presented.
2nd, BROOKERS, TELFORTH SWEET DREAMS TO CORISIAN JW. 11yrs young S/W smaller all through than one but fully deserved her placing, she has the sweetest of expressions, nice neck into good body, fabulous bone tight feet & lovely short hocks, moved with enthusiasm , showed none stop for her handler, presented in good condition & groomed to perfection.
3rd, SWAINS, AAONWELL AZENA FOR LEXCOL.
