Many thanks to the Committee for the invitation to Judge at their 2024 Champ Show, a favourite venue of ours. It is the first time we have judged together – and we did need the Referee. The Committee put on a well-run show and the hospitality was excellent.
Special thanks must go to our Stewards – Marianne, Ineke and Steven for helping to keep the Ring running smoothly.
To the Exhibitors – Many thanks for bringing along such well presented dogs and bitches, for managing the heat, accepting our decisions and for a great response around the Ring in support of all the main winners. Allowances made for the heat.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (1,0) 1.LOCKYER, Salsina’s Red Hot Crush With Gataj - S/w, Soft expression, 8 months old. Balanced with good length. Moved well for age. Immaculate presentation. Time on his side.

PUPPY DOG (6,1)
1. LOCKYER, Prince Of Sunlight Thrilled By The Difference At Gataj (Imp Hun) – S/w, 11 months old. Very drawn to this puppy. Already most mature in head properties which gave him a handsome soft expression from correct dark eye and stop. Would not want him any stronger. Excellent ear placement. Well bodied. Presentation faultless. Needs to tighten up on movement, but I’m sure this will come – which cost him in challenge for Best Puppy Dog.
2. TOOGOOD, Hanvale Ralph Lauren – S/w, well sized 11 month old who has the most masculine of head’s, yet there is a softness and refinement to him that melts the heart. Correct dark eye, stop and ear carriage. Lovely wedge. Super reach of neck in profile. Beautifully presented. Moved well but could be tighter. Only lost out here on handling and ring management but my understanding is that this is a new partnership and they have time to grow together which could produce quite a lovely team with lots of promise.

1. HASSOCK, Camanna Cellmate – S/w, very outgoing, who gave his handler a true workout – head handled well with pleasing expression from obliquely set dark eye, good ear carriage and length of head. All male with excellent spring of rib and depth of chest. In good condition. Well presented. Moved with drive.

1. BROOKER, Starlenga All About Majic For Corisian – S/w, Eye-catching 11 month old of good size. Sweetest of expressions without losing his masculinity. Well off for bone and loved those tight paws. Good depth to him. Balanced throughout. Total showman and well handled. Moved well. Pristine presentation. Lots of promise for the future. BPD, BPIB, RBPIS
2. PENACHIO, Malouines Never Ending Story – S/w, Pleasing head qualities. In good body and condition. Correct harsh coat. Beautifully presented. Needs to tighten on the move and requires more ringcraft to get the best from both handler and dog.

1. COLLINS, Triburle Bluebolero – B/M. This boy was his own worst enemy today. Maybe feeling the heat. Masculine. Lovely wedge and length of head. Eye placement and stop correct. Well balanced and correct height to length. Good length of tail which was carried low. In good coat. Neat feet. Moved well. Beautifully presented.
2. SHORTEN, Thistlewing Andromeda At Bracoisla – S/w, Pleasing head qualities but would like less ear over. Good shape and outline. In good hard condition. Moved okay. Well presented.
3. VOGAN, Luminous Moon Ovder Lenosann

POST GRADUATE DOG (5,1)
1. HOWARD, NEWTON & PATTERSON, Ladnar Dreamchaser – B/m, of good size and bone. Loved his head qualities which together gave him a really dreamy yet masculine expression. Well arched neck. Balanced and in proportion throughout. In good coat. Moved well – however – need to try and get that tail down on the move as this spoiled the overall picture. Very well presented.
2. BOYLE, Monsolana Aspire To Inspire Over Barrenclough (Imp Rus) -Tri, of good size. Soft expression. Good ear carriage when used. In profile correct length to height. Low set tail. Moved with drive. Lovely presentation.

LIMIT DOG (9, )
1. FULLER, Hanvale Arthur Shelby With Damos – S/w. Well sized masculine dog. He has the softest of expressions from well placed eye, correct stop and neat ears. Wedge-shaped head of good length. Lovely reach of neck. Balanced throughout with no sign of coarseness. Good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved with drive, maintaining his topline but fond of his tail. Ever attentive to his handler. Excellent presentation.
2. LOCKYER, Gataj Turn Back Time – S/w, lovely wedge-shaped head with correct eye and stop. Ears bang on top, which he knew how to use. Altogether giving the softest dreamy expression. Well arched neck into good lay of shoulder. Balanced profile. Kept his topline on the move, moving well. In good condition and coat. Excellent presentation.
3. EDWARDS, Starlenga Harry Potter With Elshajo

OPEN DOG (9,1)
1. HAWKINS & FOY, Beldones Rocket Man – S/w, Masculine and of good size. Sired by our own Rag’N’Bone Man, so put him at a disadvantage straight off. So, he needed to be right and have that bit more than the others. Not a Showing Fool. However, on handling him I could not have asked for more. Super wedge-shaped head. Good strong underjaw. He has correct dark oblique eye and correct ear placement which, when used, just proved what a handsome young male he is. Well placed stop. Velvet rounded foreface. Flattest of skulls. Good angulation and arched neck giving a super profile. Length to height all in proportion. Lovely length of tail which was carried low on the move whilst keeping a level topline. In good coat of harsh texture. Despite the heat he moved with great drive around the Ring every time he was asked and was a pleasure to watch. Particularly at the end of a long day he still gave 100% on the move when challenging for BIS. Presentation as it should be. Delighted to award him his 2nd CC and BOB, going on to RBIS.
2. CRONK, Chelborn That’ll Do – Tri, who was unfortunate to meet (1) today. Would like him just a tad taller. However, he is masculine with the softest of expressions. Super dark eye. Well placed stop. Great ear placement. Lovely reach of neck and lay of shoulder. Well off for bone and in profile presents a balanced outline, all in proportion. In good body condition. Jet black coat which was immaculately turned out. Very attentive to handler. Moved well keeping tail low. Pleased to award him RES CC

1. MILLS, Lynmack Starman At Lemivee - S/W, Masculine, 8 years old, soft expression with lovely dark eye. Used ears well. In good condition and coat. Well off for bone. At one with his handler. Moving well and keeping his topline with correct tail carriage. Excellent presentation.
2. BOYLE, Barrenclough Diamond Days JW – S/w, 8 years old, Lovely soft expression. Well off for size. Balanced without any coarseness. Moved well. Good presentation.

Moved smoothly maintaining her topline and good length of tail which was correctly carried. At one with handler. Presentation excellent. Very promising puppy. BPB

1. ILEY, Call Me Dreamer In Blue For Ileyda Della Verde Scozia JW (Imp It)-Very flashy B/M of good colour and condition. Lovely clean head, soft expression. Used ears well. Good reach of neck. Good size and shape. Tail carried low on the move maintaining her topline. Moved well.
2. TAME, Riverside Song Xtra Sweet At Rahlissa (Imp Rom)-S/w, very feminine, lovely head and eye, neat ears. Showed well for handler. Good shape and condition. Moved nicely around the ring. Shade smaller than (1) but overall balanced.

Strongest Class for me today, and these two quality girls were on good form.
1. CONGDON, Riverside Song Desiderata At Aaronwell (Imp Rom) – Very elegant feminine S/w, lovely moulded head with clean cheeks. Well placed stop, dark almond eye, good ear carriage. Beautiful reach of neck. Well balanced with lovely outline and shape to her with slight rise over loin. Good front and rear angulation. Tight feet. Good tail length. Light on her feet, striding out with a lovely smooth action around the Ring. In beautiful coat which was immaculately presented. At one with her handler. Thanks for bringing her today. Delighted to award her CC and Res Best of Breed
2. LLEWELLYN, Artzaiak Strawberry Rose For Salsina (Imp Esp) – Not much between these two at all. Another glamorous feminine S/w with balanced moulded head. Good stop, correct well placed dark almond eye giving a soft dreamy expression. Flat skull. Correct ear placement which she knew how to use. Lovely outline and shape. Beautiful presentation. Again, good front and rear angulation covering the Ring effortlessly. Many thanks for bringing her along. Pushed hard in Class and pleased to award RES CC
