Puppy Dog (1,0)

  1. Martin’s Sturtmoor Arceus’s Legacy.

A very promising s/w boy with much to commend him. Presents a lovely balanced outline with good bone and angulations for his age. Super reach of neck, good length of back, nice rise over the loin and long tail. His head is clean with a good length of foreface, correct back skull and stop well placed. His expression is very pleasing with a well-placed dark eye and well tipped ears carried correctly. He comes into his own on the move – driving action from the rear, reaching at the front. BP and BPIS.
Junior Dog (2,0)

  1. Howe’s Lizoni the Drifter. 17th month old boy with all the essentials except body and substance. He is too fine and narrow all through. Hopefully as he matures, he will fill out as he has many attributes. He scores in head, which is wedge shaped, clean with a correct stop. Dark, medium sized eyes which are obliquely set, well set and carried ears combine to give a very sweet expression. A bigger stamp of dog than the second (his brother), he definitely needs time to drop into himself, develop his angulations, chest and rib cage. He moved well but is one that needs to stride out at a slightly faster pace.
  2. Leavesley’s Lizoni Lone Ranger. Smaller dog again needing time to develop. He does not have the expression or construction of his brother and is not as settled on the stack or move.

  1. Sewell’s Wynele Strike It Rich to Lewarne

Quality 18 months old dog. Already well developed with good chest, front and rear angulations and balanced outline thanks to a super reach of neck, correct length of back, slight rise over the loin, very good bend of stifle and long tail. Good spring of rib but does not need to carry any more weight. His head is clean but flares slightly, flat back skull, moulded foreface. Most lovely expression thanks to well placed, dark eyes, good stop and correctly placed and well used ears. Moved as well as I have seen him today – covering the ground well and with ease, certainly having working capability as the standard requires. Res CC.
Open Dog (3,1)

  1. French’s Wynele Dressed to Thrill at Breckamore. Half brother to the limit winner (same sire) and they are very similar. Instantly appeals for masculinity, substance and bone. Balanced outline with lovely reach of neck, correct length of back with correct topline, lovely croup, very good bend of stifle and long tail. Both front and rear angulations are excellent and he stands on good feet.  Good depth of brisket and plenty of heart room thanks to excellent ribbing. Head is the correct wedge from top and side but flares slightly. Good flat back skull, moulded foreface, correct stop and good underjaw. His expression is good, eyes are dark and well placed yet could be slightly more oblique. Ears are well set and tipped and used effectively. His movement is precise and easy with ample reach, driving from powerful hocks and certainly giving the impression of being able to work all day. Shown in hard condition and carrying a jet-black tri coat. A quality male who makes his owner work hard, but he is worth it. CC and BOS.
  2. Lusty’s Ch Blamorder Audacity. Pleasing tri male but who could not match the winner for front angulation and therefore movement. His head has improved with maturity I feel. It is clean and well balanced. One ear up today which marred his expression. Very good reach of neck and length of back. Good bone and well-developed chest. His movement was good but not with the easy reach and drive of the winner.

Veteran Dog (2,1)

  1. Lusty’s Blamorder Bring Him Home. Smaller type of tri male who could be better angulated, particularly in upper arm. Has a very nice reach of neck, length of back with a good topline. Good bone for his size and his tail is long. A little more length of leg would improve his overall balance. Head is well balanced, stop a little low, very lovely expression thanks to dark well-set eyes and good ears. Good back skull and well moulded foreface. Good chest and ribs. Moved out well but not with the reach and drive of the ultimate top winners.

Puppy Bitch (4,0)

  1. Lusty’s Blamorder Dare to Dream. Very promising tri girl with lots to like. Elegant, balanced outline with lovely reach of neck, correct length of back, correct rise over the loin, good croup, correctly set and longtail. Very good front and rear angulations. Chest and ribbing developing well. She has a refined and pleasing head with good planes, correct stop. Sweet expression thanks to correct shape and placed dark eyes, well set and used ears. She moved very well, in a collected manner and covering the ground easily. A very promising pup.
  2. Cole & Fort’s Shulune Rum Punch. Another very promising puppy. Very well constructed with everything in the right place. Super neck and length of back, very good front and rear angulations and a good bend of stifle. Her head is balanced, and she has a very lovely expression thanks to well set, dark eyes, well placed and used ears. On the move she was unsettled at times, but I saw enough to show me how sound she is when she puts her mind to it. Very promising.
  3. Shorten’s Glencorrie Stella Bark at Bracoisla.

Junior Bitch (1.0)

  1. Williams’ & Hamilton’s McLelland All My Lovin’. Very feminine sable and white bitch carrying too much weight today which affected her movement, being very wide behind. She is very well constructed and balanced with the desired height to length ratio, good reach of neck and lovely angulations. Her head is clean with parallel planes but stop a little low. Eyes are well placed but could be a tad darker.

Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)

  1. Richardson’s Celeste Uta Anyaru of Lizoni. Bigger stamp of girl but she is balanced and well constructed. She has a lovely reach of neck, is well angulated, and has just enough bone. Her head is clean, flat back skull and good ears but her stop is too low. She has lovely dark eyes, and her expression is pleasing. Her blue merle colouring is rather dark. She moved well.

Limit Bitch (7,1)
A very strong class with quality all along the line.

  1. Holmes & Lusty’s Blamorder Maker’s Mark. Very sound balanced s/w with a lovely outline, good bone and substance. Super reach of neck, correct front angulations, well developed chest and ribs, held her topline, nice rise over the loin, correct rear angulations and bend of stifle, long tail. She has a very nice, elegant head with particularly good underjaw. Her stop is correctly placed. Back skull is flat, foreface nicely moulded. Very pleasing expression. Movement was excellent, covering the ground with ease and giving the impression of working capability.
  2. Fort’s Shulune Imperial Inkspell. Different type to 1 but is well balanced and very feminine. Super reach of neck and good length of back. Front and rear angulations are correct. Her head is clean with a well placed stop separating the parallel planes of back skull and foreface. Good underjaw. Well placed dark eyes and well set and used ears giving a very sweet expression. Her blue merle colour is the desired clear silvery blue. Some mismarking which was taken into consideration. Moved very well indeed.

Another very good class.

  1. Howards’ Brackenhaye Heartbreaker at Shandlmain. Tri bitch I have judged before and to whom I previously awarded the rec CC. She is a quality bitch, very elegant and feminine and presents with lovely balance. Super reach of neck, correctly angulated in front and behind, good length of back, good bend of stifle and powerful hocks resulting in very good movement, covering the ground easily and suggesting she could work all day. She has a very nice, clean head with parallel lines and good stop. Dark, well placed eyes and neat ears giving a sweet expression. Lovely moulded foreface. She has the same sire as the dog CC and Res CC winners and is very similar in type. Res CC.
  2. Benton’s Brackenhaye Queen of Hearts at Oakestelle. Litter sister to 1. Not the overall elegance of the winner but nevertheless a very nice bitch and a worthy champion. Well constructed with very good angulations, very good chest and length of back, nice bend of stifle and long tail. Super head and expression thanks to dark, well placed eyes, well set and used ears.  Moved effortlessly.

Veteran Bitch (7, 4)

    • Lusty’s Ch Blamorder Ice Cream Dream. The star of the day for me.  Such a well constructed collie with nothing out of place. No exaggerations – just everything fitting together as it should. Immediately appeals for overall balance and femininity. Lovely sweeping, elegant lines, super reach of neck, good length of back, correct rise over the loin, lovely croup, very good bend of stifle and long tail, correctly set and held low. Very good bone and good feet. She has a good chest and ribbing – plenty of heart room without being overdone. Her head is very pleasing to handle. Wedge shaped from top and side, well placed stop, parallel planes, moulded foreface and good underjaw. Expression is very pleasing, dark, obliquely set eyes and ear set spot on and well used.  Her movement was effortless and I could easily see her doing the job she was bred for. Apparently, I gave her BP at Crufts in 2017 and noted then that she needed more bone and substance. That certainly came through. Today I awarded her a well deserved CC and BOB and she took BIS under respected judge Gwen Beaden. Interested to see she is mother of my CC winning bitch from WECS in 2022 so a good brood too. Well done.
    • Cowling’s Koczkodan Serenity. What a lovely bitch this is. She has matured like a fine wine. So very feminine with lovely balance and outline. Sweeping lines. Super reach of neck, correct length of back, good chest and ribbing. Hindquarters are correctly angulated, and she has a long tail. Not the head properties of the winner and with a stop that is a little low, but she has a pleasing expression. Shown in great condition and moved really well.
