Minor Puppy Dog (2,0)
1st Camanna Cellmate BPD/RCC Upstanding s/w of 10 months, of good make and shape. He appealed to me for his balanced head of good length, clean wedge with correct stop, sweet obliques placed almond eye, giving that sweet, yet intelligent collie expression. He used his ears well. Going over him you can feel he is all male, strong arched neck, well laid shoulders, firm back with slight rise over loin. His stifle is well angulated, and he has good muscle toning throughout. Although still a puppy, his coat is dense, but fitted and of correct texture. We moved well, as his age would suggest, he has still to master his professional show-ring manner, but his personality shown through with his playful characteristics. He pushed hard in the challenge and I couldn’t look past him to award the Res CC as well as BPD.
2nd Didek Once In A Blue Moon Another good sized boy, b/m of 8 months. He was a little overwhelmed today, the tannoy didn’t help his cause. He is of good shape, well arched neck, correct top-line, long tail. His head was of good properties, blanched with good ear carriage. On the move he was of good pace but still requires to tighten up in front and back, but he is still young. He had an adequate coat, in good condition, of which the colour still needs to clear.

Puppy Dog (3,1)
1st Camanna Cellmate 2nd Jopium Love On The Rocks An 11 month old tri colour, immaculately presented with jet black coat, with large white shawl to accentuate neck. Overall, he is balanced in shape, good length to height ratio and is well off for bone. On the move his front and back action was strong, covering ground well. His head was just a little deep for me, but had many likeable properties, will be interesting to see him mature.

Yearling Dog (1,0)
1st Chelborn's Gambling List 20 month year old tri colour in a fresh coat, well presented coat. He stood to attention of his handler, knowing exactly what his job was! He has the correct shape and placement, which can be so difficult to achieve on a tri, giving him a soft expression. He uses his ears very well, I would like them tighter at the top of the head, to give a cleaner profile. It would be good to have a little bit more of this boy overall, he can move around the ring at pace and cover ground.

Novice Dog (3,0)

2nd Jopium Love On The Rocks

Graduate Dog (1,0)
1st Monsolana Aspire to Inspire over Barrenclough (Imp Rus) Overall shape is good on this tri boy, well arched neck, slight rise over loin, good bend in stifle, tail of adequate length and he moved around the ring well. Unfortunately, it looks like he enjoyed too much summer sun and his colour is rusty, he would benefit from a conditioning bath to blow out any dead coat and allow fresh new black coat to grow in. He was reluctant to use his ears today, but his head was appealing and balanced - stop in the correct place and not too deep, clean through cheeks, with a dark almond shaped eye giving a sweet expression.

Post Graduate Dog (5,2)
A close call between 1 and 2 . Two very different types, both with qualities, in the end it came down to steadiness on the move to win the class.
1st Jopium Front Runner 2.5 year old s/w in good coat. He wasn’t as much of a showman as 2 but he had enough composure to win the class. His head was balanced, good strong underjaw, well rounded muzzle, sweet eye, with good ear carriage. Strong neck, well laid shoulder, good length of back and bend in stifle. He moved around the ring with ease and had good front and rear action.
2nd Thistlewing Smoky Quarts A good sized male of 2 years. His shaded coat was left at home today, but that said it meant there was nothing to hide whilst examining his shape. I really liked the cleanness of the head on this male, no coarseness through, with parallel lines, adequate underjaw, flat skull and correctly placed ears. This eye was correctly placed, although I would prefer it sweeter to give the desired expression. He was at one with his handler, giving everything that was asked, I’d just have preferred a better rear action I the move to have secured a class win. 3rd Camanna Careerchangeing for Maqueeba

Limit Dog (9,1)
1st Corisian Parisian Magic DCC/BOS An elegant, balanced and sweet yet masculine s/w male, he has everything I was looking for in a collie on the day. He had the correct height to length ratio, good bone, always stood with paws in the correct position. On handling head, it was of good length, correct blunt wedge, correctly placed stop, muzzle moulded well. His eye was of almond shape, obliquely set and when his ears were used it gave the desired soft, intelligent expression. My hands flowed across his body with ease, no coarseness, everything where it should be. He moved around the ring freely, with good front extension.
2nd Chantique Magical Mystery A beautiful shaded sable and no doubting he is male, but still with a soft expression. His muzzle is well rounded, he has adequate underjaw and his eye is set obliquely and of the correct almond shape. He wasn’t quite clean enough through the cheeks for me. He loves the show ring, it’s clear to sees attentive to handler at all times, on the move he had drive and his construction enables him to cover the ground steadily with pace. Was a contender for top honours.

Open Dog (1,0)
1st Chelborn That'll Do A very sweet tri colour of 4 years. Clean head, moulded muzzle and correct stop. He has enough neck, set onto good shoulders, rise over loin and good bend of stifle, all setting him up to move freely over ground. Well off for bone and overall masculinity, I would just like a little more of him to complete the package.

Veteran Dog (3,0)
1st Barrenclough Diamond Days JW 7.5 year old s/w that is good for age but could be presented more to his advantage in the show ring. He had a lovely head, clean wedge, obliquely set eye, correct stop and moulded muzzle. Good reach of neck, good front and rear angulation, I would prefer a little more length on the back, but it effect his movement, well paced around the ring.
2nd Cariadhaf Crazy Dream A young 9 year old well presented sable, who had his mind on other things today! His head is of correct length and proportions, he has adequate neck, and good length of back. His well tones muscles gave him the tools to move with ease and drive.
