N & D Ch Show 2023
Rough Collie bitches
Many thanks to The Northumberland & Durham Collie Club for inviting me to judge bitches at their championship show. I thought my entry was of quality and I was very pleased with my final line up.
Minor Puppy Bitch
1st Cronks - Skabona If I Saw You In Heaven For Chelborn (Swed Imp) NAF TAF Beautifully marked blue merle of good quality, please head properties, lovely ears and a nice expression. Good neck, good shoulders, good length of back and topline, nice rear angulation. Moved very soundly. Presented in lovely condition and showed well. BPB BPIS
2nd Oakley Ice Queen For Karafaye b/m of good colour, head handles well and is balanced, good front angulation, good length of back, rear movement needs to improve.
Puppy Bitch
1st Whittakers – Siluto Silvary Blue Moon b/m of moderate colour, pleasing properties throughout, moved and showed ok.
Junior Bitch
1st Flowers – Serenlas Chloe t/c of good make and shape, lovely jet black coat, moved and showed well.
2nd Howards – Serenlas Angel of Casatentola Another t/c with a lovely jet black coat, in lovely coat and condition, nice head, good ears, ample neck and good front. Would like her sounder on the move and to control her tail.
Yearling Bitch
1st Cronks – Chelborn Gamblers Wish Very feminine s/w, lovely head with nice amount of stop, lovely eye with good ears, all together making a lovely expression, ample neck, good length of back, moved moderately.
2nd Wrays – Takhisis Lady Of Mystery Pleasing head properties but would like her ears to be less heavy, good neck, good length of back, good angulation front and rear. Moved and showed well.
Novice Bitch
1st Whittakers – Siluto Silvary Blue Moon
Graduate Bitch
1st Ross’ – Most Magestic Timeless Touch Asamshernik (IMP HUN) Beautifully made s/w bitch of 2 years, beautiful balanced head with lovely mouldings, good stop, lovely eyes and good underjaw, she carries her ears well, all together this creates a lovely expression, good neck, good shoulders, lovely front and rear angulations, good length of back, lovely shape, very sound on the move, presented and showed well. A top contender for higher awards today.
2nd Boyles - Barrenclough Touch Of Silk Pleasing head and expression, good length of back, well-constructed front and rear, sound on the move. presented and showed well.
Post Graduate Bitch
1st Newmans – Freelancer Phormal Dress Beautifully presented s/w bitch of good quality, her head handles well, good ears and good moulding of foreface. Good reach of neck led into well laid back shoulders, good length of leg, lovely length of back and rear angulation, moved soundly. Showed well. RBCC RBIS
2nd Edwards & Bluck – Paulara Lucy In The Sky For Elshajo t/c in lovely condition, pleasing head with nice stop, lovely eyes and ears, good neck, well balanced, moved and showed well.
Limit Bitch
1st Quince – Thistlewing Celtic Soul For Karafaye s/w of good make and shape, pleasing head, with flat skull, lovely eye placement, good stop, nice ears, pleasing angulations front and rear, presented in lovely condition. Showed and moved well.
2nd Welshs – Thistlewing Magic Lady Another of lovely quality, a touch heavier all through than one, presented in lovely condition. Moved well when tail was under control.
Open Bitch
1st Blakes – Corydon Clarissa s/w of outstanding quality, her head is beautifully moulded, lovely flat skull, nice equal planes, good underjaw, correct amount of stop and correctly shaped dark eye. All this together gives a true rough collie expression. Nice size with a good reach of neck led into good shoulders, good length of leg followed by lovely shaped feet. Correctly angulated front and rear and it shows when she moves. Showed and presented well I could not deny her the CC. I was delighted that on the Referees decision she was awarded BIS. Truly deserved.
2nd Newmans – Phreelancer Phaith Hill t/c in lovely condition with similar qualities to 1. lovely make and shape, moved and showed well.
Veteran Bitch
1st Burrows – Ch Tiganlea Tinkerbell At Revdvicki s/w of ten years, I have watched this lady from the ringside win many awards, this was my first time judging her today and I was honoured to get the opportunity to see why so many have liked her. She has beautiful head qualities, excellent construction front and rear, presented in immaculate condition and moved so soundly. A true credit to her breeders and owner, a beautiful example for our lovely breed.
2nd Harrisons – Cariadhaf Cookies And Cream For Cambrogan Unlucky to meet 1 today, t/c enjoying her day out, in good condition. Showed well.
