Minor Puppy Dog (1 entered, 0 absent)
- Bolt and Cronk’s Revdvicki’s Raffles at Chelborn. Very promising 6 month old tricolour. Clean head with good underjaw, dark well placed almond eye giving good expression. Pleasing shoulder/ upper arm angulation, depth of chest, level back and low set tail of good length. Well bent stifle. Moved well for one so young.
Puppy Dog (1,0)
- Hawkins Serenlas Black Magic. 11month old tricolour. This young dog is one of the most promising rough collie males I have seen for a long time. Such a lot to like about him. Fitted jet black coat of correct texture which showed off his lovely outline. Clean head of excellent proportions, well rounded foreface and correct stop, flat skull and well placed eyes and ears giving the correct collie expression. Pleasing length of neck and very well constructed. As expected he moved very well with good extension and drive. BPD, BPIB, BD and RBOB. This was his first show and he was enjoying himself, when he settles down to the task he will take some beating.
Junior Dog (2 , 0)
- Melonie’s Atirakin Snowslides on High. Triclour. Clean head with almond eyes and well placed ears giving good expression. Good length of neck and everything in proportion. Sound mover.
- Tilley’s Ingledene Dark Moon Risin. Another tricolour, a bit stronger in head that 1 but still a very nice head of good proportions. Pleasing construction but didn’t move as well as 1.
These were 2 very nice young dogs.
Special Yearling Dog (2,0)
- Ingledene Dark Moon Risin.
- Bolt and Hollywood’s Amalie a Chance to Shine. Attractive sable in good coat. Well placed almond eyes and ears but would have liked a bit more underjaw. Good depth of chest and level topline, but lacked strength in his hindquarters.
Novice Dog (2,0)
- Serenlas Black Magic
- Ingledene Dark Moon Risin.
Graduate Dog. (2,0)
- Melonie’s Wicani the Makers Mark. Well proportioned shaded sable. His overall construction is pleasing. Clean head with good length of foreface and back skull, arched neck and good shoulder angulation level topline and strong hindquarters with correctly set tail. RBD.
- Hogg’s Brookynut Storm’s Legacy. Sable dog in good coat. Attractive head but rather deep in stop. His thick coat makes his neck look a little short, good depth of chest and shoulder angulation.
Post Graduate Dog (2,0)
- Brookynut Storm’s Legacy.
- Broadhead’s Gataj Take it on the Run. Very heavily coated sable dog which doesn’t do him any favours. He is rather long in the loins which combined with the heavy coat makes him look out of proportion. His front and hind angulation were good.
Veteran Bitch (2,1)
- Skinner’s Samhaven Time is Money with Nikal. 8 ½ year old tricolour. Lovely clean feminine head, well proportioned with good construction and in beautiful coat. Good quality bone and substance. BVIB.
Minor Puppy Bitch (2,0)
- Baker’s Marilake Songbird. This 6 month tricolour baby has a lovely head and expression, level topline and strong shapely hindquarters with straight hocks which was lacking in some today. Promising youngster.
- Melonie’s Atirakin Time Tide Sea Queen. 6 month old sable. Slightly larger than 1 and still very raw. Has the makings of nice bitch, she just needs time.
Puppy Bitch (2,1)
- Flower’s Serenlas Pumpkin Spice. This sable bitch fills your eye with her lovely construction. She is well proportioned with a clean head, rounded foreface, well placed almond eye and neat ears. Arched neck, well angulated shoulder and upper arm, depth of chest and level topline. Well bent stifle with straight hocks and correctly set tail. Moved with drive and extension. She pushed her mother hard for BB but couldn’t quite match her on the move. That will come with maturity. RBB.
Junior Bitch (1,0)
- Mills’ Amalie Loves to Shimmy. Tricolour 13 months. Wellrounded foreface with good underjaw and flat skull. Good shoulder/upper arm angulation, well set long tail, movement was a little erratic.
Special Yearling Bitch (1,0)
- Mills’ Samhaven Super Natural at Willowcombe. Blue Merle, nice head and expression arched neck and well constructed. It was difficult to assess her movement as she was leaning away from the handler. Colour could be clearer.
Novice Bitch (2,0)
- Serenlas Pumpkin Spice.
- Amalie Loves to Shimmy
Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)
- Baker’s Beldones Uptown Girl of Rosschell. Sable bitch, well rounded foreface and underjaw, stop slightly deep but good eye and ear placement giving good expression.Well constructed. I’d like a little less coat as it detracts from her shape.Moved well.
Limit Bitch (4,1)
- Flower’s Serenlas Pagans Moon. Tricolour bitch who instantly appealed for her clean wedge head and beautiful construction. Her jet black coat fits her perfectly allowing me to see her lovely shape at all times. Her movement is superb, she moves with grace, drive and extension and is a delight to watch. Very happy to make her BB over her daughter and then BOB over her son.
- Scamps’ Stregato the Maleficent at Marketdene. Sable bitch with a lovely head, medium almond eye and well placed ears (best of the day).
Although she has good construction and shape she couldn’t match the front angulation of 1.
Two very nice bitches.
- Ware’s Wassail Call the Midwife.
