Good news from Brenda Welsh who spent the last weekend collecting cards, rosettes and group placings locally in Scotland, firstly at Glenrothes & Thornton show where breed and group judge was Penny Roberts and her Thistlewing Magic Lady (Gem) took BOB and Group2, followed by BOB and G1 at Fife KA from Audrey Sinclair with Gem as well.
Whilst Brenda was collecting these awards, many had gathered for an early start at Windsor Ch Show, where even at 8.30am the heat was beginning to build. Our judge for the day was Tracy Wilkinson, Altricia and she had an entry of 25 males and 42 females but, probably due to the heat and other factors left 21 dogs and 27 ladies on show and all was completed by lunchtime. Tracy last judged in 2023 at the old East of England show and prior to that at CA where she judged bitches.
Her choice for the CC went to Chelborn’s  Gambling List, this time handled by Linda Lester for Vanessa and he won Open which had 6 present. His previous CC was won at Three Counties from Sally Duffin where he was handled by Isaac Priddy. Sired by Int/Ch Skabona The Gambler at Chelborn out of Ch Chelborn Wish List. Taking the RDCC. Although called in to challenge was Ch Beldones Toucher du Bois for Brian and Odile,  was a lovely win for Uffspring Undeniable, a blue merle who was alone in Yearling. Sired by Uffspring The Understudy out of Riverside Song Narayan at Uffspring. (Who is the same way bred as John Congdon’s Riverside Song Nebraska) Best Puppy Dog was another win for Ladnar Call My Name, whose details I am sure you are all aware of.
The remaining class winners were: Spl Beginner – Carristina Bluebell Wood who had been Reserve in PG: Junior was another class win for Clovis (Ch Beldones Ivory Star); Simon Walder stood alone in Novice with Roughrigg Life of Riley at Hanvale; Christine Collins and Triburle The Joker won Limit.
I added up the absentees for the ladies and found there were 15 missing on parade, and taking the first class, Veteran was Ch Gillyflower Della Buca Delle Fate; Jane Margetts won MP and Novice with Lynmead Designer Tipple for Collingvale; Michelle Davis & Jake Walsh took PB with Wicani Bellissima Rosschell. Tremaro Million Dollar Baby won Junior; Gataj Little Miss Sassy took Yearling although she was the only lady present; Gataj Time After |Time at Rahlissa won PG for Val Tame with Lucy (Legs) Primmer doing the moving! Ann French and Breckamore Pitch Dark won Limit with Josh Blackburn handling for him and Duna with Erjon Evolving Beauty. The BCC, her first went to our local lady, Val Tame and her PG winning Gataj Time After Time at Rahlissa. She is a full litter mate to Ch Gataj Turn Back Time and was born in May 2023. The RBCC was another for Duna & Josh with Erjon Evolving Beauty, a sable, sired by Ch Ingledene Spirit of Legend out of Erjon Evolving Star. BPB was awarded to Michelle & Jake with their blue bitch and BVB to Gillyflower.
BOB went to Val and her bitch, BPIB to the blue puppy bitch and BVIB to Gillyflower. Although she put up a good performance, handled by Lucy in the Group, judged by Toni Jackson, we did not feature.
