Southern Counties 2019
Rough Collies

PD (2, 1) 1 Geddes’ Ingledene Mercury Risin. This puppy entered the ring as a puppy. Played about, had a poo, and then gradually came to realise what was required of him. As the day went on he just got better and better. He ended up with Best Puppy and the CC so I have to say, exquisite. So true and typical in all departments, including colour, head, expression, eyes and ears. He presents a beautiful silhouette and he will, of course, get better and better. What a star!

JD (4) 1 Geddes’ Ingledene Mercury Risin. 2 Fuller’s Hanvale Arthur Shelby With Damos. Another good youngster of correct size. Plenty in head and neck and good foreface, but a little bit round in skull. He needs more time. He will drop a bit behind and widen a little in front. He has promise and although his coat was not at its best today he has undoubted quality. 3 Corben’s Astromelias Ulises Via Caprioara (Imp Esp).

PGD (4) 1 Bartram’s Ambartr King Of The Ring. Very good proportions, good head, exceptionally good foreface, ears a touch heavy. He holds his topline well and his coat fits his body. 2 Rust’s Jotars Moon Spritzer. A touch longer and short on leg. Heavier type but a good dog. He went straight up and back well, good blue merle colour. Good temperament. 3 Harvey’s Wicani Cloak And Dagger.

LD (7, 1) 1 Corben’s Caprioara Silver Cloud. A strongly made dog. He eventually topped this difficult class on his good proportions, enough neck, strong bone and body. A little bit heavy in skull and ear but a good foreface. Good colour. He worked to win the class. 2 Geddes’ Ingledene Well Sorted. Good type and presented a very attractive silhouette. He has enough angulation and a good shoulder placement. He is a little bit narrow in foreface, but he pushed hard for the first place. 3 Cronk’s Chelborn Story Teller.

OD (6, 1) 1 Rae’s Antoc Soul Mate. A sound honest dog. He has dignity and good station. I very much like his head, correct eyes and ears for expression. Held his topline, good bone, good coat and moved very well. He won the RCC. The charm of the young dog beat him today. 2 Pryor’s Aqualita Dr No. Also a very good dog of correct proportions with a strong body and bone. He is a touch heavy in skull and his ears could be higher set. Training would help. 3 Thorne’s Triforce Dragon Heart ShCM.

Sp Beginners D (1) 1 Alexander’s Ingledene Aramis. A promising youngster but immature. He has a good coat and the basics. Good ears. Maturity may help him. At the moment he is a touch narrow.

VD/B (3, 1) 1 Bartram’s Squalita One Love. A quality dog of 8 years. I consider him an excellent veteran. Still has a very good mouth, well put together, moved well up and down. He has quality and I liked his correct tail carriage. 2 Skinner’s Nikal It’s Gud To Be Black. Medium size, not quite the reach of neck but he has a strong body and bone. A good veteran but showing his age in pasterns and teeth.

GCD/B (3, 1) 1 MacDonald’s Brooklynson Hepburn At Rossavon. Good looking dog, his head, neck and topline good enough. Nice bone, moved well, good tail carriage, little bit out of coat. 2 Lyall’s Santaloly’s Sky Amidalas. Certainly better coated today with a very nice head and expression. A good body, but not moving as well behind as the winner.

PB (7, 1) 1 Harvey’s Wicani Hot Gossip. So attractive. So pretty, excellent head shape, eyes, ears and expression. Correct make and shape, very well moving for a baby. In good coat. 2 Legge’s Kalzan Love Young Love. Also good with pleasing head and ears. Lovely neck. Good coat. Moved well behind but a little careless with her front which will improve with age. 3 Legge’s Kalzan Kissed By An Angel.

JB (3) 1 Mellish’s Demelewis Double Dare. Good looking, a lovely neck into shoulders and topline. She makes a good shape. I like her head, a touch heavy in ear. 2 Flower’s Serenlas Heaven In Blu. Another very good junior bitch, today moved a bit close behind, she has a good neck and topline, well angulated in front, attractive. 3 Corben’s Caprioara Winter Solstice.

PGB (8, 1) 1 Beaden & Arrowsmith’s Saganan Blue Diamond. Presents a good picture standing and moving. She has corresponding angulation fore and aft. Enough bone and in good coat. 2 Stillwell’s Bellawave Caught In A Dream. She scored in movement and had a decent outline. Has a nice front, could have more angulation behind. Head not as good as first. 3 Lyall’s Santaloly’s Sky Amidalas.

LB (10, 1) 1 Geddes’ Ingledene Spirit Of Ecstasy. A most attractive bitch. Excellent head shape, eyes, ears and expression. I like her neck, topline and body. Excellent coat and excellent movement. She has strength and dignity RCC. 2 Flower’s Serenlas Keeping Faith. A quality bitch, she has correct proportions and she is balanced. She moved extremely well up and down. She hasn’t the substance of winner, not quite the head properties, but a worthy bitch. 3 Cronk & Skalin’s Skabona Heaven Can Wait.

OB (8, 3) 1 Harvey’s Wicani Enraptured. Excellent bitch. She is beautiful, excellent construction, lovely angulation in front and behind giving her excellent movement. In very good coat. She has quality and dignity. Pleased to award her the CC. 2 Smedley’s Antoc Soul Diva. A lovely bitch of medium size, excellent coat quality She is a good mover. In excellent company. A pleasing bitch. 3 Bartram’s Jards Crystal Rose Gold At Ambartr.

Sp Beginners B (1) 1 Lyall’s Santaloly’s Sky Amidalas. Attractive bitch, as some breed type. Well presented.
