Thank you to the committee of Chesterfield & Pinxton for inviting me to judge Rough Collies at their open show on the 16th of June 2019


Junior (2)  
1st  Whites Mejola Main Attraction. 17 month old sable and white bitch shown in good coat. She is a sweet little girl but I would have preferred her slightly more cleaner in head with a little less flare to the cheeks. She has lovely dark almond shaped eyes with a slight but perceptible stop. She has a good under jaw and her ears were pleasing. She has good front and rear angulation and moved with ease around the ring. 

2nd Iley's Arklethill Delilah 12 1/2 month old sable and white bitch also shown in good coat. She has a sweet expression with lovely dark eyes. She has a  lovely ear carriage but for me she is a little to deep in the stop. She has good front and rear angulation with a good length of tail. She moved steadily around the ring. 

Post Graduate (3)
1st Gallagher's Gemheid Call Me Trouble. 19 month old tri coloured bitch shown in beautiful condition. She has a lovely clean head with the correct amount of stop with a good under jaw. Her ears are correct and she used them well. She has lovely dark eyes which set off her kind expression. She has a good length of neck and level top line. She is good for substance and both front and rear angulation are good making it easy for her to move around the ring with drive. RBOB 

2nd  Boyles Barrenclough Heart of Gold. 19 month old sable and white dog. Unfortunately I found this boy to wide in the skull and his stop to deep. However, he does have pleasing ears and lovely dark eyes. I felt for a male he is to small in body length and height and a little more attention to his appearance would have been good. His movement around the ring was steady. 

3rd  Iley's Call Me Dreamer in Blue for Ileyda Della Verde Scozia (imp)

1st Whites Mejola Fate and Fortune. Well balanced good size Blue Merle dog shown in lovely condition. He has a lovely clean head and dark eyes showing off his masculine expression. His ears are correct and he uses them to his advantage. He has a good length of neck with a good level top line with a good lay of shoulder. Both front and rear angulation are good.  On the move I found him light on his feet and pleasing to watch. BOB & PG2 

2nd  Gallagher's Gemheid Rebeka. 3 1/2 year old Rich in colour sable and white bitch shown in lovely condition. Her head is pleasing and despite  her eyes being  a little light in colour, almost Amber I found them very attractive. She has a good length of neck into well laid shoulders. A good length of back with good front and rear angulation. She moves with drive around the ring and vocally lets everyone know she is enjoying her day out. I loved her spirit.
