Yorkshire Collie Club Championship Show

Smooth Collies (No CC’s)

I would like to thank the Committee of the Yorkshire Collie Club for inviting to judge the Smooth Collies, without CC’s, at their Championship Show. I would also like to thank the Exhibitors for entering their dogs under me and for the way they accepted my placings.
It was a most enjoyable day with lovely smooth collies.

Puppy Dog or Bitch
1st French Wynele Dressed To Thrill At Breckamore A well balanced 11 month old tri-colour dog that showed very well. He has a lovely head, nice dark eye and good ear carriage. Lovely reach of neck that led into good shoulders. He has a good level top line and good hindquarters. His movement is very good and carries his tail correctly. Best Puppy in Breed, Reserve Best of Breed and I was delighted when he went Best Puppy in Show.

Junior Dog or Bitch
1st Richardson Lizoni Va Va Voom A nice 14 month old tri-colour bitch. She has a well-balanced head with a nice dark eye and good ear carriage. A good reach of neck and length of back and level top-line and hindquarters. She moved very well.
2nd Russell Koczkodan Steel My Heart A 15th month old Blue Merle with a balanced head, dark eye and ear carriage. Good top-line and moved ok.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch
1st Cowling Blamorder Opulence At Himinnsaga A 22 month old Blue Merle bitch has a balanced head and ears, although I would have preferred a sweeter eye. Good make and shape and her movement was not bad.
2nd Richardson Koczkodan Sweet Dreams Of Lizoni A lovely 3 year old tri-colour bitch that unfortunately wouldn’t let me handle her. She had nice dark eyes that gave her that sweet expression with good ear carriage. Her movement was very good and it was a shame I could not go over her. Her owner told me she thought she was coming into season.

1st Glover Stormsett Serendipity A 27 month old tri-colour bitch that was reluctant to show. She has a well-balanced head, reach of neck and good make and shape. Her movement needs to improve.

Open Bitch
1st Jerrett Blamorder Sunny Sky A 4 year old Sable and White bitch that stood and showed for her owner. She has a well-balanced head, dark eyes and good ear carriage. A good reach of neck and shoulders. She has a good level top line and good hindquarters. Her movement was very good and she carried her tail correctly. I was pleased to award her Best of Breed and especially went she went Reserve Best in Show.
2nd Russell Koczkodan Midnight Sun JW Another lovely 4 year old bitch that has a lovely balanced head, nice eye and good ear carriage. Her make and shape was very good with good reach of neck and shoulders. Good top-line and moved very well with a good tail carriage.
