Special Award Classes

Many thanks to the committee for their kind invitation to judge. The pandemic delayed the show somewhat but the day finally arrived. Such a friendly club & atmosphere - I really enjoyed myself.

Special Award Puppy Dog or Bitch Collie Rough/Smooth: (2) 1. Wensley’s Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive. Tri D (Smooth). 9 months boy with a masculine head of correct proportions. Correct eye & ear set creating a lovely expression. Well angulated fore & aft. Would prefer slightly tighter feet. Won this class on his easy, free movement. Very promising indeed. 2. Beardsworth’s Maysinda Sapphire Reign. Blue merle & tan B (Rough) of 7 months, one I really liked a lot. A lovely baby with super rear angulation & good long tail. Feminine head, correct bone, neat feet. Pipped on movement today - just not striding out as her construction would suggest.

Special Award Post Graduate Collie Rough/Smooth: (5, 2a) 1. Glover’s Stormsett Serendipity. Tri B (Smooth) who was slightly unsettled but has much to like. Good head planes, well used ears & nice eye. Good bone, sufficient angles & let me see enough on the move to take the class. 2. Glover’s Stormsett Snow Crystal. Blue merle & tan B (Smooth). Dam of 1 but didn’t match her movement today. A tad long in muzzle for me but otherwise a balanced bitch all round. 3. Whitaker’s Siluto Misterious Girl.

Special Award Open Dog or Bitch Collie Rough/Smooth (1) 1. Allsopp’s Aqualita Its A Miracle. Tri D (Rough) enthusiastically handled by the most enchanting (very) young lady. I really liked this boy. Lovely masculine head with good eye shape & colour & excellent ear carriage. Correct head planes, good bone Super angulation fore & aft & a lovely free mover. ____________________________________________________________________ Sheila Gay (Judge)
