I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge the Rough Collies at their Open Show and to the 2 stewards for all their help. Thanks also to the exhibitors who allowed me to go over their dogs.

Rough Collie Junior (6,3)

1st. Melvin & Jopson’s Lillyway Lemon Sparkle at Nithview Sable and White Bitch just out of puppy. Lovely head and eye. Ears right on top which she certainly knows how to use giving a lovely melting expression. Lovely shape and reach of neck and correct bone. Correct conformation which allows her to move round the ring with ease. Was at one with her handler the whole time and certainly knows how to show herself off and attract attention. Presentation was first class as always from this kennel. BOB. Congratulations on your Pastoral Group 1.

2nd. Hopkirk’s Chantique Sugar Moon. 11 month Sable & White Bitch. Lovely pup with correct head and eye with enough stop. Ears well placed which she uses and is at one with her handler. Nice reach of neck and good angulation. Lovely shape and correct length of tail. In good coat which was well presented. Moved as one with her handler. BPIB. 3rd. Barron & Jenkins Rannalerroch Perfect Storm

Rough Collie Graduate (2,1)

1st. Barron & Jenkins Tiganlea Twinkling Star At Rannaleroch. 2 ½ year old Blue Merle Bitch. Lovely clear blue colour. Nice wedge shaped head and lovely expression when she uses her ears. Nice shape and reach of neck. Good angulation fore and aft. Moved well. Presented in good condition.

Rough Collie Open (6,3}

1st. Jopson & Brown’s Lillyway Lattimer At Nithview. Tri Colour Dog who was celebrating his 5th Birthday. Sire of my BOB winner. Nice wedge shaped head with correct eye and ear placement. Has a nice expression which is not always easy to get with a Tri. Good reach of neck and nice angulation Has good conformation which allows him to move round the ring. Coat in lovely condition which as usual was well presented.

2nd. Barron & Jenkins Xcode Della Bucca Delle Fate At Rannaleroch 6 ½. Year old Tri Dog.Nice head with the correct stop and eye placement and shape. Ears well placed which gives a soft expression when used. Good reach of neck Nice shoulder placement and bend of stifle. Coat in good condition. Moved well.

Group 1) Melvin & Jopson’s Lillyway Lemon Sparkle at Nithview. And sparkle she certainly does! Beautiful sable Rough Collie bitch. Sweet, melting expression. Correct wedge shaped head with adequate stop. Ears well placed. Good reach of neck and good angulation fore and aft. Tail of correct length. In good coat. Moved well. Excellent presentation as always from this kennel.
