JUDGE – DENISE ROWAN

I would like to thank the YCC committee for asking me to judge at their show and for making it a lovely day and the stewards for keeping me organised. Most of all I would like to thank all the exhibitors for bringing their beautiful dogs for me to judge. In most classes I didn’t have enough cards and in the latter classes the quality was super. When the line up came in for the challenge a number of bitches could have taken the top awards. However I did find a lot of dirty teeth in some classes. I loved all my winners and had an amazing day. Big thank you to everyone.

Bitches
Veteran 2 (1abs)
1. WHITAKER’S – Aniesh Misty Blue Moon of Siluto, 7 year old BM bitch, good head qualities, well arched neck. Correct length of back, slight rise over the loins, moved OK.

Minor Puppy Bitch 5. (2abs)
1. FOY/HAWKIN’S – Beldones Magical Bliss, 6 month old eye catching S/W puppy, lovely head qualities, super eye and sweet expression, ears on top, she was a lovely shape, very appealing, just a bit loose on her movement on the move but she’s only a baby so time is on her side.

2. LOCKYER’S – Gataj Good Time Girl, another stunning puppy, 9 months old S/W. Pleasing head qualities with the sweetest of expressions, super eye shape and placement, ears on top, correct body length lovely shape, moved OK.

3. EDWARDS’S – Elshajo As if By Magic.

PUPPY BITCH - 1.
1. BLACKBURN/JONES – Erjon Ebony Jewels, Eye catching tri girl of super quality, Pleasing head qualities, super almond shape somewhat obliquely set dark eye and correct ear set, giving her a lovely melting expression. Well arched neck, lovely shape and her angulation was good for one so young but she would insist on pulling away from her handler on the move and missed out on winning her award in the puppy challenge but when her coat comes and she settles she will trouble the best. BPB.

JUNIOR BITCH – 2
1. LOCKYER’S - Gataj Honey Bee, A beautiful G/S girl, correct head, well balanced and moulded, flat skull, correct eye shape and placement, correct ear placement, once again giving a beautiful expression, Good depth of chest and spring of ribs, well let down hocks, loved her shape. Moved well. One to watch in the future.

2. MITCHELL & JORDAN’S – Salsina Secret Love Song at Avonfair, I was splitting hairs between these 2 gorgeous girls. My critique for No 1 applies the same as for this girl. Correct head, well moulded, flat skull correct eye shape and ear placement, once again giving a beautiful expression, loved her shape. Moved well. Another one to watch in the future. Just preferred the finishing of 1.

MAIDEN – 3. (1abs)

1. ROSE’S – Uffspring Ulravox – Tri with a well moulded and balanced head, Good reach of neck, good depth of chest , sufficient angulation, moved OK.

2. DODSWORTH – Pommenka My Fair Lady with Libanel.

GRADUATE 6. (2 Abs)
1. HOLLINSHEAD’S - Starlyn Amazing Grace, very attractive girl in full coat. She caught my eye in this class for her overall breed type and beauty. She had a correct well moulded and balanced head, super eye shape and placement giving her a lovely expression, good reach of neck, angulation was very good with well let down hocks and she covered the ground well. I really liked her for her quality and type but she didn’t look like she was enjoying her day out but when she settles she will look the part and trouble the best and I hope will do well.

2. BOYLE’s – Barrenclough Touch of silk. Another nice bitch, had a lot of the qualities of 1 but just didn’t have the finishing’s on the day but nevertheless a lovely exhibit. Covered the ground well.

3. CLARKE’S – Uffspring Uniquely Mayd

POST GRADUATE 10 (1 Abs)

1. SCOTT’S – Chantique Fairy Magic, Beautiful G/S well moulded and balanced head and, super dark somewhat obliquely set eye shape and placement, good ear set and placement. Deep depth of chest with well sprung ribs, She was well angulated throughout, good length of body with a slight rise over the loins, lovely shape and covered the ground well.

2. BLACKBURN & JONE’S – Erjon Evolving Star – Loved her head qualities and expression, correct eye shape, ear set and placement, flat skull , muscular well arched neck. Good depth of chest. Well balanced. She was a super shape Just preferred the movement on 1 on the day.

3. EDWARD’S – Elshado Adored.

LIMIT BITCH 14

When I saw this class come in the ring. My thoughts were “I need more red cards”. It was a beautiful class with some stunning exhibits in the class. Anyone of these bitches placed could have swapped places on another day they were all beautiful quality girls with some having to go without cards.

1. LOCKYERS - Paradise Girl Du Clos De Sea-Wind For Gataj, G/S girl with the sweetest of expressions, Correct head qualities, super eye shape and placement, Well arched muscular neck, lovely shape. Such quality. Angulation was very good, deep chest and well sprung ribs, correct length of tail and she was well balanced and angulated throughout and covered the ground well. She was a strong contender in the challenge but the ground was uneven where she was standing in front and it spoilt her outline but I really liked her.

2. LLEWELLYN’S – Artzaiak Selena De Salsina – I was splitting hairs between these 2, Both stunning girls, Pleasing head qualities, super eye shape and placement. Ears on top, well arched muscular neck, correct angulation and she covered the ground well.

3. BROOKER’S – Gerian Sun Kisses Over Corisian.

OPEN 9 (2ABS)
1. LLEWELLYN’S – Salsina Share The Love. Star of the day. Another Beautiful bitch from this kennel. Lovely breed type, correct head qualities, well moulded and balanced head, super dark almond shaped eye somewhat obliquely set in the correct place to give a beautiful expression, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs, slight rise over the loin and tail reaching to the hock. Well balanced and angulated throughout. Stood and showed non stop. She was in full coat and her overall shape and furnishing gave a picture of beauty in my eye of her super quality. I hope others recognise her qualities. Covered the ground with ease. Thank you for bringing her and I was pleased to award her the CC.

2. FOY/HAWKINS – Beldones Enable, Another stunner of super breed type. She had the correct head qualities, correct eye shape and placement, correct ear set. Well arched neck, good depth of chest and length of body with a slight rise over the loins, tail reaching hocks and she covered the ground well. Very attentive to her handler and looked a picture. Pleased to award her the RCC.

3. BOYLE’S – Monsolana Love Style Over Barranclough
