LONDON COLLIE CHAMPIONSIDP SHOW JUNE 2019

BEST IN SHOW
It was a pleasure to meet up with old friends at this lovely show and judge the awards for best in show. For me it was interesting to note that out of the entry of 143 collies 34 were imports.
Full critiques for these winners will be by their respected judges here is the results of my placings of the overall winners.

Best in Show
Scott's Ch Magical Moon Of Lowlands Green Valley For Chantique (imp fra) Three year old Sable and White Rough Collie gleaming with health and presented to perfection. Well constructed dog who moves out well, Strong neck and good lay of shoulder, Deep chest and well sprung rib. Correct length to height, well muscled hindquarters, strong hocks and well padded feet.

RESERVE BEST IN SHOW AND BEST VETERAN
French's Ch Foxearth Flockmaster For Breckamore tricolour Smooth Now 8 years old He still retains good body lines, one I have given a CC to in the past, Head still handles well and he has good neck and shoulder placement. Giving good ground cover on the move. In the challenge he had at the end of the day lost some of his sparkle.

BEST OPPOSITE SEX IN SHOW
Norman's Ch Foxearth Fashioned In Black, Smooth Collie. Most exquisite tricolour Smooth Collie. So feminine and in superb condition at  10 years old could hold her own anywhere in any competition, Her  head is beautiful with lovely ear and eye placement, She is balanced throughout never put a foot wrong. Her owner said she had not been shown for 5 years, what a comeback.

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW
Walker & Ritchie's Starlenga Christian Dior like his namesake he ticked my box.
Should have a bright future, at 9 months he shows a good outline. I liked his head and expression, neat ears which he used to advantage, gave good ground cover on the move.
