Lichfield Canine Society Open Show

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at this lovely well run show. My classes were full of top quality dogs, I considered it a privilege to be able to go over them and my thanks go out to all the exhibitors for allowing me to do so. All of the dogs were immaculately presented, movement was very good and I really couldn't have asked for more on the day such was the high standard.

Puppy (3,0)

1st Geddes Serenlas No Ordinary Blu for Ingledene, 10 months B/m Loved everything about this boy, from his clean head, construction and overall balance to his clear blue coat. At only his second show he stood with a commanding presence that was outstanding and rarely seen in such a young dog. His construction and movement in all departments were excellent with good reach and drive and not a hint of his inexperience. What a future this stunning boy has, cant wait to see him when he matures. BP, BOB 

2nd Hawkin and Foy’s Beldonnes Blue Echo - A lovely boy with clean masculine head and sweet expression, well rounded muzzle, good head planes and well placed ears. Liked his angulation front and rear, good bone and as such his good construction showed in his good movement.  

Junior (9,5)

1st Geddes Serenlas No Ordinary Blu for Ingledene - as above

2nd Beaden’s Sanganan Blue Diamond Lovely B/m girl with sweet feminine head, nice blunt wedge, correct stop and with good under-jaw, I liked this girl a lot in what was a particularly strong class, very attentive and in lovely condition, correctly angulated with good profile and overall proportions, movement was excellent.

Post Graduate (7,3)

1st Hawkin and Foy’s Beldonnes Corradina
A quality s/w girl, liked her head with lovely sweet expression and very nicely angulated, good turn of stifle and the best mover in this class keeping a good level topline.

2nd Pullin’s Chantique Obsession at Myjacks
A very nice s/w girl with good head qualities and reach of neck, used her ears well. Another girl well angulated leading to good movement but preferred the movement of 1.

Open (5,2)

1st Walder’s Beldones La Vita Bella for Hanvale
What a beautiful s/w girl who showed non-stop, immaculate presentation, loved all of her head qualities with good eye and ear placement and everything in proportion. Lovely reach of neck, excellent overall construction with a particularly well fitting coat, pleasing profile which gave her a lovely balanced appearance, her movement was excellent both coming and going, good reach while keeping a firm and level topline, she pushed hard for the top spot. 2nd Davis’s Most Majestic Victory of Rosschell (Imp Hun)
Another very nice girl, lovely head with a sweet expression she used her ears to good effect, good reach of neck but a little shorter in the back than 1 and didn’t move quite as well on the day, but had very good movement nonetheless.
