Collie Club of Wales 2019

Best in Show – Championship Show 6th April 2019

Both judges were in agreement for the breed, so I was not needed.

For Best In Show, I declared the Rough Bitch, Cronks  Chelborn Kiss ‘N’ Desire, at almost 5 years reaching maturity following a litter, and subsequently in the best of condition and coat.  She strode out with purpose and drive,  showing constantly.  I loved her overall construction, although her head is possibly not for me, she pulled out all the stops. She obtained her title on the day, congratulations. Reserve Best In Show and Best Opposite Sex was the Rough Male, Hassocks Camanna  Codename, winning his first CC.  I loved his head, another  well presented, and in good condition.  Just a youngster, he was full of enthusiasm, and confidence.  Personally, I preferred the maturity of the bitch on the day.

Best Veteran was the blue merle Smooth Collie Benton’s Ch. Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle, at just over 10 years.  Lovely bitch, in excellent condition, so attentive to handler.  Strode out really well, one who has come into her prime.

Best Puppy was automatically the Rough, Burrows Revdvicki Black Diamond, as there were no Smooth puppies entered.
