Smooth Collies

J: (2,1) 1st Howard’s Shandlmain Scout, 9-month tri dog with a lot of promise. I really liked his outline, with a good arch of neck and length of back. He has a clean head of good length with a flat skull and good stop. Super eyes of good shape which were set well. Super shoulder with good depth of chest, good bone and excellent feet. Such a lot to like about him, but sadly he was spooked just before coming into the ring and so he was rather unsettled and didn’t give his best. I hope he’ll get over this as he should have a bright future, BP & RBOB

PG: (3,2) 1st Benton’s Oakestelle Artemis, 2-year bm bitch of finer type to the junior winner. Clean head with a flat skull, very sweet eye and well-set ears. Super neck, good depth of chest and rear angulation, but I would have preferred a bit more length of back to complete the overall outline. Moved and showed well.

O: (3,2) 1st Benton’s Oakestelle Venus De Milo, 6-year bm bitch and mother to the post grad winner and of very similar type although she has more length of back than her daughter. Her head is very similar, she too has a good flat skull and clean wedge with a nice eye and good ear carriage. Beautifully handled, and moved very well and showed non-stop, BOB.
