Boston 2019 - Rough Collies

Firstly my thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge today also a big thank you to my stewards Pat and Chris who worked tirelessly all day and were very helpful. Finally a big thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me and accepted my decisions so sportingly. I had a lovely entry in both my breeds and again across my AVs. Some youngsters still very raw but on the whole lots of quality dogs with exciting futures. All dogs were entire and scissor bites the norm. I was so looking forward to this appointment and wasn't disappointed, what a super entry with quality dogs, a lovey way to start the year. PD (5) 1 Newton's Fiorcara Brave Explorer. 6mths, a pleasing baby, good head nicely chiselled, well angulated front and rear, enough body for age, nice shape and type. A tad overwhelmed today but he eventually moved well enough to win this class. 2 Alexander's Ingledene Aramis. 8mths, well chiselled head, good reach of neck, well boned and good angulation, a lively puppy with promise. 

JD 1 Boyle's Barrenclough Heart of Gold. Nicely chiselled head, dark eye giving good expression, medium ears used well, sound front and rear angulation, well bodied with correct rise over the loin, short firm hocks, tail correctly carried, nicely balanced overall, moved well. BD. 2 Newton's Fiorcara Brave Explorer. 

PGD (2) 1 Scott's Aniesh Touch of Black. Nice head, good eye and expression, enough width and depth of chest, well bodied, good angulation, moved well. 

OD (6) 1 Blake's Corydon Trump the Lot. 2yrs good head, nice dark eye masculine expression, medium ears used well, well bodied and angulated, enough bone, good tail carried correctly, in firm condition, moved well, and in good coat RBD. 2 Barron & Jenkins' X Code Dell Bucca Della Fate at Rannaleroch (imp Italy). 3yrs pleasing head, well chiselled, dark eye male expression, medium ears, good angulation, well balanced overall, in good coat and condition which showed in his sound movement. 

SpBegD (1) 1 Boyle's Barrenclough Heart of Gold. As before. 

PB (9) 1 Walder's Hanvale Polly Shelby. 11 months, attractive well chiselled head, good eye giving soft expression, well angulated and enough body for age, good bone and feet, short hocks, correct tail carriage, moved well a promising youngster. Pleased to award her BP. 2 Blake's Rayawnas Ring of Roses for Croydon. 10mths another pretty puppy, good head with dark eye and sweet expression, enough body for age, needs time and more ring training as unsettled in the ring. Another youngster with loads of promise. 

JB (11) 1 Beaden &Arrowsmith's Saganan Blue Diamond, 13mths well broken blue merle, very pleasing outline, chiselled head with lovely eye and expression, good ears, good reach of neck well angulated and boned, nicely balanced, good body proportions, in super coat good feet and once settled moved well. Lovely type. 2 Wray-Ramsden's Danfrebeck Lady Madonna. 13mths chiselled head, dark eye, good ears used well, well bodied for age. Moved with purpose. 

PGB (3) 1 Beaden's Myriehewe Promises. 2yrs good head eye and expression, well angulated with nice body proportions, correct rise over the loin, short hocks good feet. Moved well. 2 Wray-Ramsden's Takhisis Aphrodite JW, 18 months, well chiselled head with good eye, strong body and bone, good tail carriage. Moved well.

  OB (9) 1 Walder's Beldones La Vita Bella for Hanvale JW, 2y6mths, sable bitch, well chiselled head lovely eye and expression, medium ears used well, good reach of neck, well angulated front with depth of chest, good body proportions, nice rise over loin, well angulated rear, good length and set of tail. Flowed round the ring, nice type and overall balance. BB & BOB. 2 Cook & Watkins' Aniesh Forever Blue With Whatacoo, 4yrs, good head medium ears used well, well angulated front, good depth of chest, well bodied, with rise over the loin, moved well. 

SpBegB (1) 1 Boyle's Barrenclough Golden Linnet. 14mths sable, chiselled head, dark eye, giving soft expression, medium ears well used, good body for age, well angulated front and rear, short hocks, good tail carriage, moved well.
