Judges critique

Thanks to the Ayrshire Collie Club for inviting me to judge their open show on the 9th June 2019 and the hospitality extended to myself and my 2 daughters.  Thanks to the Ring Stewards for all their help on the day and thanks to the exhibitors for the excellent presentation of their dogs and allowing me the pleasure of going over their dogs.  The overall quality of the dogs was excellent. 

Veteran 4\1 Abs 1 Mrs I Ashe Starlenga Mysterious Girl at Forrestwalk- Nice Sable bitch correct head still retains her sweet expression good body shape nice reach of neck turn of stifle good on the move BVIS
2 Miss L Watt Culbrae Charm Offensive Quite  similar to my first just preferred the movement of 1

Graduate Dog - 1 Entry Brown & Jopson Lillyway Lattimer at Nithview Nice tri maturing nicely correct head well set ears lovely almond shape eye giving a sweet expression well laid shoulders good depth of chest and well sprung ribs nice turn of stifle good length of loin well set tail presented well moved well one also to watch for the future. RBD

Post Graduate Dog - 3/1 ABS Mrs C Proctor Wilmaranna out of the Blue For Cathbri Nice Blue merle correct colour and markings nice head correct ear carriage nice expression good length of neck deep chest well sprung ribs good length of loin nice turn of stifle moved well.
2 M & J Paterson & Blaney Wilmaranna Forever in Blue very similar to 1 in type just preferred the ear carriage of 1.

Limit Dog - 4/1 ABS Mrs B Cooney Jopium Danny Boy At Lingwell Well made rich sable correct head and ears good eye well laid shoulders well sprung ribs good length of back nice turn of stifle correct tail carriage.
2 Miss K Johnston Sea Dreamers One and Only Sable with the same qualities as my first just a bit reluctant to give of his best today could change the placings on another day.

Open Dog - 4 Mr G Carmichael Kilchrenan Keltic Brier JW Tri colour "Boy this is all dog from nose to tail" correct head good ear carriage dark almond shape eye giving him that sweet expression good length of neck correct shoulders well sprung ribs and deep chest good length of back nice turn of stifle good tail carriage good on the move bit of a handful which cost him RBS still a worthy best dog.  BD
2 Brand & Reid Ronansprey Ronan Kisses tri colour correct head good ear carriage almond shape eye giving correct expression well laid shoulders good spring of rib good length of back nice turn of stifle good tail carriage.  Didn't move as well today as I know he can.

Minor Puppy Bitch - 3 J & S M McIntyre Jopium Loves to Sparkel with Meryctin Lovely sable who should do well in the future correct head still to mature good ear carriage lovely dark almond shape eyes giving sweet expression good length of neck correct shoulders well sprung rib good length of back nice turn of stifle correct tail carriage good on the move could have shown all day and was well handled by her young handler.  BPIS
2 Miss S Steven Cambrogan Blown A Hoolie Nice sable whom I 'm sure will get better as she matures correct head shape with correct ears lovely eye giving sweet expression good arch neck correct shoulders good length of back nice turn of stifle good movement be interesting to see her mature.

Puppy Bitch - 1 Barron & Jenkins Tiganlea Twinkling Saphire at Rannaleroch Blue merle nice colour correct head with almond shape eye giving sweet expression nice arched neck correct shoulders good length of back correct tail carriage.

Junior Bitch - 1 Ashe Starlenga Thumbilina at Forrestwalk Sable with correct head well set ears and correct eye good length of neck well laid shoulders good spring of rib good length of back nice turn of stifle and correct tail moved well.

Yearling Bitch - 1 Hodges Jopium Secrets In The Mist Blue merle absolutely stunning colour steely grey which will be blue in the sun small wisps of black and lovely tan markings correct head with ears correctly placed almond eye giving the sweetest expression arched neck into correct shoulders well sprung ribs with deep chest not too long in the back but not out of proportion nice turn of stifle correct tail and the most beautiful feet movement was a joy this bitch would have shown all day for both her handlers and beautifully presented delighted to give her BB and also BIS

Graduate bitch 4\1 Abs Mitchell and Jordan Scottlyme QKissagram for Avonfair (Imp bel) Sable with nice eye giving sweet expression correct shape of head good length of neck correct shoulders well sprung chest good lentgh of back good turn of stifle correct tail carriage pulled out the stops in her movement when challenging for RBIS as expected from this kennel beautifully presented RBB and RBIS
2 Hobkirk Chantique Love'N Kisses Nice sable correct head and eye good reach of neck good shoulders well sprung ribs good body shape correct tail moved well

Post Graduate Bitch 4\1 Abs 1 Mrs C Topham Seanchrois Extraordinary Blue Girl another blue I have always liked nice reach of neck good shoulders lovely deep chest nice length of loin nice turn of stifle correct tail good movement very attentive to her handler
2 Melvin and Jopson Nithview Summer Lovin lovely sable with correct head almond shaped eye good reach of neck well placed shoulders good length of back correct tail placement moved well could change places with 1 on another day
