Rough Collies  

MPD (3) 1 Hawkins & Foy's Beldones Blue Echo. Just 7 months old, this b/m baby could end up really smart. He has a delightful headpiece, super eyes and expression and such neat ears. Good length in neck which is so arched when he stacks, the ribs well developed, amply weighted bone and he was in excellent bloom. Moves out and back so truly and side on he uses his hocks well. 2 Brown & Jopson's Nithview This Is Me. This s/w is a real baby being just over the 6 months.  He does need to grow on a bit but he has  a well shaped head, especially good eyes and ears, has a decent spring and depth of rib, straight forelegs and pasterns and sufficient bend of stifle. In good coat he just needs to settle more on the move. 3 Coreben's Astromelias Uliseasas. 

PD (6, 1) 1 Jones' Brooklynson Black Diamond With Dancol. What a tall, elegant and superbly presented tri this is. Has a lovely reach of neck which he uses so well to emphasise his outline. Good flat skull, well shaped eyes, a trifle long in muzzle for me, lovely ribs, sufficient layback in shoulder, backline firm and nicely moulded croup with a good tail. At present he is rather close behind when moving away and I just felt the MPD was more light footed as they went around the ring together. But could finish so well. 2 Fuller's Hanvale Arthur Shelby With Damos, Standing he looked the likely winner as I loved his head and expression.  He has a decent neck, slight dip in backline but the croup and hind angulation are a delight to the eye. Immaculate in coat and he responds well to his handler. I felt he was lacking the ground cover and scope in profile action which cost his the red card. 3 Boyle's Barrenclough Heart Of Gold. 

JD (5) 1 Lockyer's Think Of Me Prince Of Sunlight At Gataj (Imp Hun). Lots to like with this s/w. Delightful eyes and expression, skull flat and moderate stop. Loved his reach of neck, well sprung ribs and well moulded croup. He looks all male with lovely bone and such muscled hindquarters. Disappointed me moving as he does not extend as he should and he can be rather proud of his tail which detracts from the overall picture. 2 B Black Diamond With D. 3 B Heart Of Gold. 

YD (4, 2) 1 Bartram's Ambartr King Of The Ring. His head is a bit old fashioned as it is straight through with no stop. However, it has length, is lean and flat with a well rounded muzzle and good chin. His back is level, well set tail with good carriage and he is so easy on the eye as he drifts around the ring. 2 Savage's Peblu Gold Reflection At Savataurus. I preferred the eye and expression on this well coated and presented s/w, despite his ears being a little unsettled. Nice neck, could have more layback in shoulder and he is a bit lacking in width in upper thigh and as a result he does not cover as much ground in profile action as the winner. 

PGD (8, 1) 1 Allen's Lynmack Brooklyn Nights. This glamorous, well coated and presented golden s/w won this place on sheer breed type.  Beautifully headed with neat ears and lovely dark, so expressive eyes. He has enough length in neck, is well ribbed, sweeping croup line and short, firm hocks. For me he is a bit lacking in angulation both ends and so he is somewhat restricted in the length of his profile stride. Also he was toeing in a shade in front but for sheert type on the stack I knew he had to have the red card. 2 Lockyer's Gataj Beau Of Surprises JW. Tricolour of good size and well boned. Pleasing head, eye on the small side for me so not so soft in expression as the winner.  He scores in spring and depth of rib, the back is firm and the croup nicely rounded.  I'd like a little more width in lower thigh and he has adequate profile action, if a little close behind when viewed going away.  3 Webb's Rashel Time Is Of The Essence At Shadowpark. 

LD (8, 1) 1 Barron & Jenkins' Xcode Della Bucca Della Fate At Rannerloch (Imp Ita). This tri dog was in superb body and coat and he is such a complete showman. Lovely wither height, such a good neck, nicely ribbed and that sweeping croup line all adding to his appeal.  He has a well balanced head, with excellent foreface and well set ears.  Nice eye and expression he kept his shape circling the ring.  In the challenge he was toeing in more obviously that I had notice earlier, but he will win lots. 2 Corben's Capriora Silver Cloud. This is a such a charming b/m of excellent make and shape. Long neck, moulded croup, level back, very good bend of stifle and a well laid shoulder. His head is a clean wedge, moderate stop and I liked his expression. Free striding side action but  for me he lacks body weight under that coat and if that frame can be filled out it will transform him. 3 Vogan's Lenosann Midnight Rascal. 

OD (9, 3) 1, CC & BOB, Ch & Multi Ch One Extraordinary Blu Di Cambiano. I felt he was a comfortable BOB winner today.  More the quality of yesteryear with a beautiful clean cut all male wedge head, excellent eyes and ears, well arched neck, good spring and depth of rib, straight forelegs on good feet, the back firm and he has very good hindquarters. Shown in lovely bloom, he is an excellent colour which is  well broken and his coat is a good texture.  Moved easily and purposefully around the ring and I was delighted to send him through to the Group. 2 & Res CC, White's Mejola Fate And Fortune. Another blue, a shade paler than the winner and not quite so marbled with black. However, I rate him highly and think he has that noble air the breed seems to have lost. Loved his head eyes and expression, again a nicely arched neck, good shoulders and upper arm, not overdone in spring of rib, supple loin and that sweeping croup line.  He has ample bend of stifle, the hocks are firm and he was in beautiful coat. Just gave way by being not quite so tight in elbow coming towards me but that is nit picking & I feel he is a dog worthy of a title. 3  Rae's Antoc Soul Mate. 

VD (6) 1 Clare's Bluchip Solar Storm Of Skyeshelm. Tri in beautiful coat and body condition. Nicely headed, dark well shaped eyes and a well arched neck. So relaxed and positive on the move and he is quite sound  whichever way one watches his action. 2 Cronk's Chelborn Decision. This s/w was also in spotless coat condition. Head handles so cleanly, not kept his teeth so well as the winner and whilst he is fairly sound on the move, not quite the lightness of step. 3 Corben's Capriora Grey Owl. 

MPB (6, 2) 1 Coulson's Beldones Joy Of The Night. This little tri charmer is a real show off, so full of self importance. Her head is coming on well. fairly flat skull, enough stop, lovely bright and expressive eyes, just about enough neck, very good rib development and smooth in backline. She was the steadiest mover in this class and has promise. 2  Growcott's Lillyway Lemon Popsicle. This 7 months s/w is very much the baby. I think her skull and eyes are lovely, she has a fair reach of neck, ribs not oversprung and once settled her profile action was  even and balanced Just needs to settle in front. 3 Iley's Ileyda Karlie Kloss. 

PB (15, 2) 1 & BP, Beaden & Arrowsmith's Saganan Blue Diamond. Such a feminine and beautifully headed blue merle of a well broken colour and carrying a coat of excellent texture. She is very shapely, good angles both ends, firm backline and that so desirable beautifully moulded croup and low tail set. She looks like she should move out but I feel she was being kept in check as she clearly wants to be a bit gay with her tail!!  Hopefully, once that settles she should have a very bright future.2 Lockyer's Gataj Girl's Best Friend.  A difficult decision this one as I did like so much of this beautifully headed sables virtues. Her head handles so well and eyes are a joy.  However, her ear set is a bit low and she may look better if she can be persuaded to use them more. Her neck, spring of rib and rear angulation are all very good and she was in lovely coat.  Has a dip in topline which held her back and she just toes in a little when fore viewed. But should do well. 3 Cronk's Chelborn Wish List. 

JB (12) 1 Flint's Highnol Flaming Heart. This is another very promising golden s/w bitch which had much that I liked. Beautiful expression from a quality head, shapely in neck and body, amply weight bone and good feet. On the stack she fills the eye but she is a bit of a minx on the move and never really strides out as her shape would imply. 2 Fort's Corisian French Tease From Shulune. Now this s/w bitch can move!! A delight to watch that even, purposeful side gait with reach and drive. Nice head and eye, ears are lower set that I would like and she could do with more reach in neck. Having said that the whole package has much to like and with this movement she is sure to have many wins. 3 Francis' Perblu Designed To Love. 

YB (6) 1 H Flaming Heart. 2 Shipp's Gillyflower Della Buca Della Fate (Imp Ita). What a showgirl this immaculately coated and pretty headed s/w bitch is.  Ears never down and ever alert in repose which helps her cause.  One of several which I thought might be a class winner and then doesn't see the top spot as is a bit unsettled and wayward when moving. She is quite well constructed with decent angles, but just lacked the steadiness and balance on the move. 3 Hawkins' Brilyn Molly Coddles JW. 

PGB (10) 1 Corben's Wicani The Seductress Via Caprioara. So well constructed, lovely shoulders and upper arm, ribs not over sprung, loin supple and that well moulded croup leading to really good hindquarters. This tri has a pleasing head and expression but really comes into her own on the move, almost floating and showing such balance and holding her shape. 2 Growcott's Nithview Country Dreams At Lillyway. A nice head and expression on this sable/white bitch. Good size, well ribbed, just about enough neck, not quite the width in thigh of the winner and she was tending to lean away from her handler when moving. She was in lovely coat and she makes the most of her virtues on the stack. 3 Lockyer's Takhisis Hope And Dreams With Gataj. 

LB (11,3)  1 Beare's Jemspark Maid In Secret. This light gold sable was not in full coat but only served to confirm how beautifully constructed she is.  Her neck has length, is arched, the withers well defined as is the upper arm and the close fitting elbows.  She has enough ribbing, lovely hind angulation and firm hocks. Ultra feminine in expression but I'm sure the purists will seek a shade more muzzle to complete the picture. Her light free striding action was the icing on the cake and I thought her presence enhanced the line up in the challenge.  2 Randall's Fata Turchina Ladnar Di Cambiano (Imp Ita). I see another from this world renowned Italian kennel and again such quality. I loved her head, eyes and expression. She is shapely, decent neck, balanced angles and was in good coat which is a lovely colour. Unlucky to meet the winner which has such a super front both on the stack and when moving whereas this quality bitch was toeing in coming towards me. But a delight to judge.  3rd Telford's Samhaven Summer Rhapsody For Glenbowdene. 

OB (11, 1) 1 Hodges' Jopium Secret Fantasy JW. The coat presentation on this d/w bitch was outstanding, as though every hair gleamed and the grooming was such that her outline simply flowed from ears to her hocks in a series of curves. Her head is lovely, she has such good eyes a lovely ribcage, beautiful hind angulation and on the stack she does fill the eye. Profile action smooth and she only bowed the knee to the outstanding B/m Veteran. I'm sure she will get made up.   2 Cronk's Chelborn Kiss'n Desire. This is a quality shaded sable and I feel had the best  action in the class, smooth striding, effortless and holding her shape. She was my problem of the day as she is good to handle, her head has quality, I loved her expression and presentation but she lost out in backline when stacked as there is a noticeable dip behind the withers which takes so much away from her appeal. Another which may well end up with a title. 3 Smedley's Antoc Soul Diva. 

VB (4, 2) 1 Hawkins' Ch Brilyn Platinum Lustre. Just loved her.  Blue merle of outstanding make and shape, excellent neck and angulations, pretty head and expression, moves out like an Olympic trained athlete, so co-ordinated and balanced and seemingly effortless as she floats around the ring with reach and drive yet keeping that firm backline. Beautifully presented and I was delighted to add to her laurels. I'm told this is her 8th or maybe 9th (?) CC. 2  Annable's Danfrebek Magic's Wildspice With Avisette. Another blue and again ultra sound moving and a joy to judge. Lovely coloured jacket, very good head with neat ears and a kind, knowing expression. Still light in action and a better front than many of the younger bitches. Thanks for bringing her!
