I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge, a lovely well run show, supported by cold but beautiful weather and some lovely exhibits.
Smooth Collies
Junior (2, 0a)
- Benton Miss M & Bemelmans Mrs E – Oakestelle Asteria. A young tri bitch, who has the sweetest of expressions, correct ear carriage which she used to her advantage. Lovely neck, which enhanced her super shape, on the move she held her topline well. BPIB, BPIS.
- Tiranti Mr & Mrs J – Wynele Sea Captain Garthfield – Blue dog of good size and substance. He had a pleasing head and eye but was reluctant to use his ears at all. Adequate neck and length of back and when settled into his stride moved ok.
Post Graduate (1, 1a)
Open Dog (2, 1a)
- Leach Mrs C.H. – Manordeifi Dionysus at Hiltarn – 6 year old blue dog who has a good head and expression, correct stop and eye placement. His expression was masculine without coarseness. Well angulated throughout but difficult to assess movement fully as he was a little hampered by his handler. BOSIB
Open Bitch (2,0a)
- Benton Miss M – Oakestelle Venus De Milo – Blue merle bitch of super colour, clean head of good planes with sweet expression and excellent ears which she used constantly. Lovely arched neck with good angulations front and rear. She won over her mother on her effortless movement, holding her topline well and extending both at the front and rear. BB BOB, RBIS
- Benton Miss M – Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle – Blue merle who have judged previously and she still appeals, much the same attributes as her daughter, today just lost out to youth and exuberance. RBB, BVIB BVIS
Rough Collie
Veteran Dog (1, 0a)
- Fuller Mrs E. A – Damos Diamond Legend – Super tri at 10 ½ years old, still in excellent coat and condition, a total credit to his owner. He has good bone and substance, with a sweet but masculine expression, well used ears and correctly placed stop. On the move he was steady holding his top line well. BVD, BVIB.
Minor Puppy Dog (2, 0a)
- Shipp Mr R & Mrs M – Tremaro King of Dreams – A true baby enjoying himself and at times acting the clown which is lovely to see at this age. This sable has a good head and lovely expression, enhanced by his well used ears. Good arch to neck and balanced outline. On the move he needs to strengthen in rear but has plenty of time. BPD, BPIB
- Jackson Miss T – Sassari Made me Blue – Another lovely baby who has a lot to like. This blue has a lovely head with a nice stop, well placed eye giving a sweet expression. He was a little reluctant to use his ears and found the floor a bit challenging but for sure he will grow in confidence.

- Ludlow Mrs M & Mr I - Tudorlyn Golden Dreamer for Malina – This sable stood alone in the class, and seemed a little unsettled in the surroundings. He has a good head with a sweet well placed eye, nice molding to foreface and good substance throughout. On the move he was a bit hesitant and had to check with his owner that he was aware he only had one testicle descended.
Post Graduate (3, 1a)
- Maxwell Ms T & Wallis Ms K– Trenley Tavanagh at Hamisks – Sable of good size and well proportioned. Good length of neck and back with good muscle tone. He has a sweet expression enhanced by well placed ears which he was a little reluctant to use at times. Moved out well holding a good topline.
- Ludlow Mrs M & Mr I – Tudorlyn Misty Dreams for Malina – Sable smaller overall than 1. Nice head and expression with well placed ears. Good neck and length of back, moved ok.
Limit Dog (4, 0a)
- Wells Miss M.E. – Collingvale Crunchie at Terelimon JW ShCM – Shaded sable dog who has a lot to like and beautifully presented. He has the sweetest of expressions, excellent ear set and correctly placed stop. Good tight feet and well rounded bone . Good angulations both front and rear giving him a flowing action on the move. BD BOSIS
- Arrowsmith Dr K. – Saganan Gundaga - Beautifully coloured blue merle, who despite leaving his clothes at home deserved his place. He has a well balanced head, excellent ear set and carriage, leading into a lovely well arched neck, good length of back and well angulated front and rear. I would just like a little more of him in bone and substance. RBD
- Maxwell Ms T & Wallis Ms K– Trenley Tatenen at Hamisks
- Ludlow Mrs M & Mr I – Maqueeba Just A Dream for Malina

Veteran Bitch (3, 0a)
- Clarke Mr S – Buebezi Bisou Avec Derbypark JW – Blue Bitch with a sweet expression, nice shaped eye, correctly placed stop and well used ears. In profile she had a good length of neck and nice angulations front and rear. Steady on the move. BVB
- Philpin Mrs L – Tudorlyn Little Princess ShCM – A very feminine sable bitch, finer than one throughout, head handled well with good reach of neck and length to back, on the move she held her topline well.
- Ames Mrs D L – Trenic Ruby Ribbon of Vorda
Minor Puppy Bitch (3, 1a)
- Jackson Miss T – Sassari Made me Silver – This sweet blue was enjoying her day out, she has good length to her head, ears well set which she used to her advantage. Good bone and nice tight feet.
- James Mrs J M – Old Golden Gates Fifty Fifty at Deanjan – Another blue baby who unfortunately was very unsettled. She has the sweetest of expressions, due to a lovely placed and shaped eye, correctly set ears and well filled foreface. Her movement was erratic due to her apprehension on the floor.
Puppy Bitch (0, 0a)
Junior Bitch (5, 1a)
- Randall Mr D A & Mrs S P – Samhaven Hopeful Ladnar – Blue with coat of excellent colour and texture. Lovely head of correct length with clean planes giving the sweetest of expressions. Eyes of correct shape and set, with good filling to her foreface. Well arched neck and good length of back, lovely rounded bone and tight feet. Moved positively, a promising youngster.
- Shipp Mr R & Mrs M – Gillyflower Della Buca Delle Fate (Imp ITA) – Sable with a very sweet expression , well proportioned throughout, head handled well with correctly placed eyes and ears. Good reach of neck and length to back, moved well.
- Tame Mrs V – Rahlissa Charmaine
- Bowden Mrs R – Jopium Soft as Velvet
Yearling Bitch (6, 2a)
- Shipp Mr R & Mrs M – Gillyflower Della Buca Delle Fate (Imp ITA)
- Williams-Smith Mr R J and Mrs L S – Danrox Delightfully Wicked - Sable bitch in good coat of correct texture. Head shorter than 1, feminine expression from a lovely almond eye, ears well used and a well filled foreface. Good reach of neck, and well angulated front and rear. Moved steady.
- Tame Mrs V – Rahlissa Charmaine
- Bowden Mrs R – Jopium Soft as Velvet
Graduate Bitch (3, 0a)
- Tame Mrs V – Rahlissa Charmaine – Sable who had unfortunately left her coat at home. Neverthe less she has a sweet expression, correctly placed stop and length to head. Good bone and length of back. Moved well.
- James Mrs J M – Deanjan Delightfully Dolly – Sable bitch who was a little unsettled on the floor, she has the sweetest of expressions. Her head handles well with good molding to her foreface, well placed eyes and ears and a flat skull. Good reach of neck and rise over loin. On the move she was hesitant which spoilt her movement.
- Lyall Mrs H – Santalolys Sky Amidalas
Post Graduate Bitch (4, 2a)
- Philpin Mrs L – Sassari Snow Shimmer for Tudorlyn JW – Blue of lovely shape, good clean head, stop in correct place, giving sweet expression . She was reluctant to use her ears, but did enough to earn her place well angulated throughout. Moved well.
- Lyall Mrs H – Santalolys Sky Amidalas – Sable who has a good clean head, well used ears, stop in correct place giving a feminine expression. On the move rear action needs to tighten.
Limit Bitch (4, 2a)
- Randall Mr D A & Mrs S P – Ladnar Inkheart JW – This tri bitch has the blackest of coats and for me is the complete balance of construction with femininity. When handling her head she has a flat skull, eyes of correct shape and set, excellent ears which she uses to her advantage, and a well filled foreface. This enhanced by a beautiful well arched neck , good length to back and good angulations. On the move she held her topline covering the ground easily with a steady place and nice flowing action. BB BIS
- Philpin Mrs L – Tudorlyn Fairy Dust – Sable bitch who was a little reluctant on the move. Longer in head than the winner but she has a sweet expression, nice eye well used ears. Good bone and well angulated throughout.
Open Bitch (5, 0a)
- Williams-Smith Mr R J and Mrs L S – Danrox Loves to be Wicked – Sable who had a wealth of coat presented to perfection. A lot to like about this bitch her head handles well with correctly placed stop, lovely eye and well used ears. Good reach of neck, would just prefer a little more length to back. Moved well as angulations would suggest. RBB
- Jackson Miss T – Sassari Sea Shimmer – Blue with a lovely clean wedge head. Sweet expression, excellent ear carriage and nice eye. Well placed stop giving femininity to a balanced head. Well angulated throughout and moved well.
