ROUGH COLLIE BITCHES
It was a great honour to be asked to judge at this the most prestigious of dog shows. I have judged Championship shows in 14 different countries, in those 36 shows I can say without doubt that my CC and Best of Breed is one of the very best I have seen. I was particular pleased with the movement of all the exhibits.  A really good line up for the challenge. Very much the true collie type.

VETERAN BITCH: (12)
1st Humphrey’s   CHAMPION BRILYN KISS AT MIDNITE TO JAMESFAIR
2nd Hawkins’s   CHAMPION BRILYN PLATINUM LUSTRE    
Two beautiful litter sisters, one tri the other blue. Lustre looking so much like my own Blue bitch who was B.O.B. at Crufts 28 years ago. Both have the correct head pattern, super make and shape lovely head and eye, they moved so well. Today the blue had to bow the knee to her sibling who had the better coat and furnishings. Later Kiss at midnite went on to be Best Veteran in Breed.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH: (1)
1st Wray’s   TAKHISIS APHRODITE
Stood alone due to the crazy age related timing of this class, LKA being the only show with a minor puppy class to qualify from, even then if your pup is much more than 6months old on that day they could not make the class. SW, nice head and eye, excellent shape, moved really well, hope she don’t grow any more.

PUPPY BITCH: (6)
1st Hawkins’s   BRILYN MOLLY CODDLES  
Gorgeous S/W puppy, super head, exquisite expression, lovely ear set, showed well, a little reluctant on the move, but in the challenge with the dog puppy got over this and took BEST PUPPY IN BREED.
A great future lies ahead.
2nd Blake’s       KINNERET KOPPER KISSES FOR CORYDON
S/W really good mover, excellent shape, she is a little wide at the front and did not have the sweet expression of the winner.
3rd  Grindley’s    LANRUE MILLY MOLLY MANDY

JUNIOR BITCH: (18).
1st Randall’s      SAMHAVEN HOPEFUL LADNAR
Blue bitch who Topped a class full of quality youngsters. Probably the hardest class to judge.
She has a lovely head with a beautiful expression, really good colouring, excellent movement, just needs that bit more coat to complete the picture, expertly handled.
2nd Humphrey’s SHASAM SHADES OF GUILT        
S/W gave this bitches litter brother the reserve cc last year, very much one of a pair, lovely head with a good ear set, really good neck, excellent shape, moves very well.
3rd Shipps’s  GILLYFLOWER DELLA BUCA DELLE FATE

YEARLING BITCH: (17)
1st  Hawkins & Foy’s  BELDONES BARLEY SUGAR
S/W Beautiful headed bitch, lovely eye and expression, superb condition shown to perfection, moved well.
2nd  Zasun’s      BRAVA ACTIS POLAND JUN CH  S/W  very similar comments apply to this lovely bitch, I see that she has very much the same breeding on her dam’s side as my eventual cc winner.
3rd McDades   FRIDENS CAPTIVATION WITH LYNDALE

GRADUATE BITCH: (15)
1st  Murray & Bellamy’s    BELLOREEN STARLIGHT 
Very nice b/m, lovely expression, really good arched neck, excellent make and shape, moved well, and showed herself off.
2nd Philpin’s   SASSARI SNOW SHIMMER FOR TUDORLYN JW 
Another nice blue, good head excellent colouring, another good mover, showed and handled well.
3rd Burrows’s  ERJON ESME AT REVDVICKI

POST GRADUATE BITCH: (7)
1st Jones & Blackburn’s   ERJON EXCLUSIVELY SPECIAL   B/M absolutely stood out in this class very good harsh coat of good colour, she has a lovely head pattern with a lovely expression, her shape is fantastic which helped her to cover the ground with ease, one for top honours in the near future.
2nd Fox’s    ERJON EUPHORIC FOR ALANITA  
Lovely head and eye, she uses her ears to advantage, moved well.
3rd Wernquest's   MAJALIDENS FIGHTERASTA

MID LIMIT BITCH: (11)
1st   Wray’s   BELDONES PANDORA  S/W excellent shape, presented to perfection , lovely eye and expression, ears set a little wide, moved well.
2nd   Cook & Watkins’s  ANIESH FOREVER BLUE WITH WHATACOO   Quality B/M, lovely head type, sweet eye, excellent shape, moved very well.
3rd    McGowan’s   BARRENCLOUGH GOLDEN CHARM AT WESTOAK

LIMIT BITCH: (9)
1st    Smedley’s       ANTOC SOUL DIVA  Sable bitch that I have always admired, in lovely condition, beautiful exquisite expression, excellent shape, moves well RESERVE CC.
2nd  Randall’s      LADNAR INKHEART JW   Another bitch in lovely condition. Tri gleaming black coat, nice eye & expression, moved really well. Very unlucky to meet the winner, sure she will soon be winning top honours. A close decision between these two lovely bitches.
3rd  Newman’s     PHREELANCER PHOND MEMORIES

OPEN BITCH: (22) A class brim full of quality bitches
1st    Skalin’s     CH/ INT/NO/DK/LV/LT CH CHELBORN DESIRABLE   This beautiful bitch just took my breath away, dreamy melting expression, she was a new one to me but was just what I was looking for.  A Bitch that was all female, Her S/W coat fitted so perfectly no fluff just long straight hair.  Used her ears well, she just floated around the ring. In the challenges she just seemed to get even better, Pleased to award her the CC and with the full agreement of my co-judge BEST OF BREED.
2nd   Burrows’s        TIGANLEA TINKERBELL AT REVDVICKI   A really top quality S/W bitch, absolutely super shape presented in prime condition, Shown to perfection, Movement was superb, certainly  hard luck to be second today.
3rd       Lockyer’s GATAJ WELCOME WITH A KISS

S/W who was in a very strong junior class, nice head, good shape, moved well.
2nd    SAMBREEZE WHISPERS OF LOVE
S/W nice bitch, lovely eye and expression, moves well.
