Thank you to a welcoming committee.
ROUGH COLLIES.
Some exhibits looked great standing but some grooming attention needed, particularly trimming of feet and nails on some exhibits, splayed front feet instead of tight arched toes, loose, down at pasterns, all detracts from the free flowing effortless movement that should be seen in this breed.
Puppy. (3).
1.Milligan & Marley's Ladnar Trust in Me.
Shapely 6 month B/M bitch. Dark eye, clean wedge head, correct bite, with good underjaw, well used ears, slightly on the heavy side but that will change. Bouncy, sometimes her tail held gaily but that was good in a noisy hall. BPIB. Pleased to see her go PPG2 under a Rough Collie breed specialist.
2.Radford-House's Stake Out at Fivejays. Shapely tri colour, litter brother to 1. Well blunted clean wedge head with a dark eye, correct bite, good underjaw. Good black colour with rich tan markings. Moved well when following his sister.
3.Cook & Watkins Whatacoo Blaze of Glory.
Post Graduate. (5,2)
1.Scott's Aneish Touch of Black.
Jet black with rich tan, tri male, good strong head with parallel planes, dark almond eye, good reach of neck, deep chest, rise above the loins, good feet, can stand awkwardly at the rear but moved with drive to take this class. Good presentation. RBOB
2.Davis & Walsh's Monsalana Everspace to Rosschell (Imp Rus) Shapely tri bitch with a sweet expression, lovely almond dark eye, neat feet, presentation faultless as always from this kennels, sadly apprehensive on the floor in the ring.
3.Skinner's Samhaven Time is Money with Nikal.
Open.(6,2)
1.Skinner's Nikal It's Good to be Black.
Tri dog, with dark correct eye, well rounded muzzle, good underjaw, coming up to veteran and moved with rear drive to take this class. Have judged this dog before, he has his good days, doesn't always co-operate with his handler. BOB.
2. Belgium Junior Champion Ingledene Ebony Lace.
The blackest harsh correct coat, sweeping over the loins, well presented, clean wedge head, dark eye but too strong in the head for me, lacking a sweet feminine dreamy expression.
3.Scott's Aneish Portrait in Blue ShCM.
