Rough Collies

I would like to thank the Committee for inviting me to judge and for their warm welcome. What has happened to movement in this beautiful breed!!! Lack of exercise doesn't help. I couldn't fault my main winners even though it was a small hall they were a joy to watch.

V (1)
1 Skinner's Nikal It's Gud To Be Black. 7 yr old blk tri enjoying his day and moved better than some of the adults. BV.

MPD (1)
1 Masson's Samhaven Golden Shadow. 8 mth sable, loved the overall balance of this puppy with lovely masculine head in good coat. Good bone. Moved correctly. I feel they would benefit from more ring training, especially the handler. But should have a bright future once that comes together. BP.

PD (1) 1 Repeat.

JD (3)
1 Randall's Ladnar Balthasar. Blue in good coat and lovely colour. I would just like more neck to balance the outline, more settled in movement.
2 Masson's Samhaven Golden Shadow.

GD (2, 1)
1 Boyle's Barrenclough Heart Of Gold. Shaded sable, balanced head, correctly placed ears which he used, good depth and width of chest, good bone, balanced in profile. Moved ok.

PGD (3, 1)
1 Cooney's Jopium Danny Boy At Lingwell. Shaded sable in good coat, nice head with sweet but masculine expression. Good depth of chest and balance in profile was the better mover of the two.
2 Boyle's Barrenclough Heart Of Gold.

LD (1)
1 Benton's Brooklynson El Dorado. Res BD. Sable in good coat, good length of neck giving the typical Collie outline. Good bone and stood solid on the back, moved well.

O (3, 1)
1 Blake's Corydon Trump The Lot. I preferred this ones head out of these two and was the better mover. Love the overall balance and shape with good length of neck in very good coat. BD.
2 White's Mejola Fate And Fortune. Blue of good colour, balanced with lovely arched neck, moved ok, just preferred head and expression on the winner.

MPB (4) Typical young puppy movement in this class but was able to see through it.
1 Growcott's Lillyway Lemon Popsicle. Very pretty sable and full of promise, in lovely coat, pretty head, sweet expression, just needs time.
2 Baker's Tigeanlea Good Luck Trinket. Another pretty puppy, good overall shape, lovely head with sweet expression, just reluctant to use ears but would be interested to see how she matures.

PB (4) 1 Margett's Collingvale Cava. Took my eye when she entered the ring, groomed to perfection. Beautiful head, balanced with a very sweet expression. Correctly placed ears which she used. Balanced through out which showed in her movement true in all directions, sound and effortless. Expect her to continue to do well. BP, BB, Best of Breed, BPIS, BIS.
2 Tame Riverside Song Xtra Sweet At Rahlissa. Another lovely puppy and unfortunate to meet winner. Very pretty feminine head, balanced throughout moved soundly. Res BP.

JB (5)
1. No owners name. Highnol Flaming Heart. Another one who moved well despite the small hall, balanced throughout with a lovely arched neck, pretty feminine head, sweet expression, correctly placed ears and a worthy Res Best Of Breed.
2 Milligan's Ladnar Trust In Me. Lovely blue colour, just needs to use herself more to show her arched neck and overall outline in profile. Pretty head with sweet expression moved ok.

MB (4, 1)
1 Tame Riverside Song Xtra Sweet At Rahlissa.
2 Blake's Rayawna Ring Of Roses For Croydon. Unfortunately movement let her down today.

NB (3, 1)
1 Margett's Collingvale Cava. Puppy Winner.
2 Blake's Rayawna AoS Ring Of Roses For Croydon.

GB (7) No owners name. Highnol Flaming Heart. 2 Boyle's Barrenclough Golden Linnet. Pretty sable with lovely expression, balanced throughout, shown in good coat, just preferred the free flowing movement of first.

PGB (3)
Difficult class as movement could have been better.
1 Boyle's Barrenclough Golden Linnet.
2 Edwards' Top Less Goldmania. Just preferred head and expression of first, in good coat.

LB (6, 2)
1 Whitaker's Aniesh Misty Blue Moon Of Siluto. Blue of lovely colour, made the most of herself showing her lovely arched neck giving a lovely overall shape. Pretty head, sweet expression, good ear placement moved well.
2 Edwards' Jashiks Shine Like A Diamond. Shaded sable who, unfortunately, was between coats, very pretty head super expression arched neck balanced throughout. Just needs to firm up rear movement and should have a promising future.

OB (5, 2)
1 Margett's Collingvale Chardonnay. Mother of Best in Show winner, another beautiful Collie from this kennel and again presented to perfection, despite the atrocious weather we have had. Similar comments apply but just felt the daughter had the edge today.
2 Blake's Croydon Blue Fizz. Unlucky to meet winner, pretty blue of lovely overall balance, pretty head with sweet expression correct ear placement moved well.
