Rough Collie Bitches Judge Mrs J Margetts (Collingvale)
Thank you to Midland Collie for inviting me to judge at this show., I was over the moon with my entry and also the quality. My puppy classes were a delight , plenty of quality puppies and I was spoilt for choice today which can only be good for our breed. Adult classes also had plenty of quality with some lovely bitches going unplaced no disgrace today. A few lovely bitches did not perform today on the move and for me movement and elegance is a must. Reach of neck in some still seems to be a problem and hind movement in a few was rather worrying , is this confirmation or lack of exercise ? Missing /dirty teeth in some middle classes was rather a surprise. My main winners thrilled me and I would happily have them at home . Good luck to them for the future .

Well what a start … gorgeous headed blue puppy bitch, lovely eye placement, ears permanently on top of her head, correct stop lovely moulded forface, giving a very sweet, feminine expression, yes she is a tad raw, but shows great promise for overall balance, good neck, shoulders and length of back , she strides out round the ring with so much confidence giving her handler a few problems but just had so much presence in the ring BPIS (referee decision) . I will certainly watch her development with great interest .
2nd Jones Erjon Esmay
Tri sister to above , again a lovely head, eye and expression , very similar comments re shape, jet black coat .. could not quite match the hind movement of her sister .

What a gorgeous colour she is , head handles well , clean in stop and good forface/ underjaw ., used her ears all the time … lovely dark eye ., all combined to give a sweet expression, decent neck and shape , on the move she went well but in the challenge could not quite match the strength in the hind quarters of the minor puppy
2nd Jones Erjon Exclusively Special
Another gorgeous blue … presents a very balanced picture when standing, and on the move she did not disappoint., head handles well, clean in stop , lovely eye set and well used ears , lovely moulded forface, shade larger than 1 two very nice puppies .

1st Planks Riverside Song Happy Ending for Rayvel
Well this is certainly one I would be happy to have at home .. she fills the eye with shape and style a none stop show girl . Head is so clean no lumps or bumps or flaring , good stop and her lovely eye placement and ear carriage … shows non stop … she is well balanced throughout with great reach of neck enhanced by a lovely white shawl, well bent stifle, short neat hocks, moved very well for and aft with a lovely low set tail, in great coat and condition … she has a super temperament and she really took my attention to take the CC and BIS from the Referee decision …

Similar type to 1 just a tad smaller ., lovely head and expression and ear carriage very sweet . , has enough neck and shape , she showed non stop a showing fool ,, covers the ground well on the move, called her back in for the RCC , feel she needs a while longer to mature but is a lovely bitch …

Standing has a great outline, length of neck and good body shape , pleasing expression ears used very well., on the move went round the ring with plenty of style and strong movement (which won her this class)

Blue bitch, standing gives a very shapely outline has enough neck and pleasing head and expression used her ears well enough … . don’t think she was happy with the floor which showed in her rear movement and lack of drive behind.

Placed 3rd in minor puppy , blue bitch of lovely colour, sweet head and expression, good foreface, ears nicely placed and used well , she has plenty of bone and substance hope she grows on a bit more, moved well enough …

Larger framed blue bitch, good shape and make, slightly stronger in head for me but a great shape, a tad lethargic on the move today .

Shapely S/W bitch,. Pleasing head and expression , stood and showed very well, in lovely coat and condition … moved out ok .. won this class on her overall balance

s/w bitch very sweet headed, but for me I would prefer more neck and length to her body, all said she moves out very well.

Good shape to this blue bitch (seem to have found a few today) … decent reach of neck, and made well throughout, well bent stifle. Head handles well pleasing expression well moulded forface , showed very well, went well on the move with good tail carriage .

Blue bitch who was not over enthusiastic today , slightly heavier ears, pleasing expression, need more confidence to show herself off and on the move.

Very sound and honest collie bitch, standing and showing presents a good overall picture, pleasing head , well moulded forface and underjaw, correct stop, sweet dark eye and ears well used. She has nothing to hide as lacking coat today this just showed off her lovely shape, moved out freely and with drive, low set tail
2nd Rutherfords Treeview Tell No Secrets of Kelbewood
Again similar remarks she is a very honest collie, very attentive to her handler, head handles well no coarseness and sweet eye , ears bang on top, good on the move and very sound.

This bitch is the most gorgeous of shapes, has a very fitting coat well presented, not over done in any department, so well balanced throughout, lovely clean head with good underjaw, forface, correct stop and sweet eye and expression showed non stop. She has ample bone, and substance, very good confirmation moved out well on strong hocks for and aft. with low set tail one I considered for top honours in a very strong line up.

Heavily coated s/w not a showing fool but full of quality . Head handles well , with sweet dark eye and good moulding to forface and underjaw, she used her ears enough on the day , she is very shapely under all that coat, well bent stifle, short hocks moved out well but not quite the strength of rear movement as 1.

Ultra feminine bitch , standing and showing cant be ignored, Found her to be ultra feminine, I have often watched her from the ring side and wondered how her head would handle. She has a lovely dark soft eye , clean in stop , good forface and underjaw, nothing overdone . Good reach of neck which she shows off to advantage, ample bone and substance. She has a lovely fitted and very well presented coat , good bend of stifle and short hocks which enabled her to power round the ring, stands 4 square and showed her socks off to gain the RCC .
2nd Melvin & Jopson Lillyway Lovin You at Nithview
Loved this feminine tri bitch head and expression , super reach of neck , very good show girl and so attentive to her handle. Jet black shiny coat well presented, good bone and neat feet moved out well, just needs to settle on the move .

Have seen this kennel produce some very nice bitches, and today I thought this one just filled my eye. Just coming to her best I feel , she has the most feminine head with dark almond shaped eye well place stop, stands and shows all the time for her handler .. has super bone and substance about her ,great reach of neck and body shape , on the move she strides out with good purpose with a correctly carried tail.. in super condition another one I short listed for higher honours.

Delightful s/w bitch who is not a showing fool, but has a lovely head and expression that really needs hands on to be fully appreciated . When she put it all together has a decent reach of neck and well made front assembly, length of back. She moved out on short hocks with a steady front and rear action .
