ROUGH COLLIES

Many thanks to the show committee and exhibiters for such a good entry for rough collies. I was pleased to be able to judge quality collies in all three classes, and had some difficult decisions choosing my winners.

JUNIOR 5(1)

1st. Shipp’s TREMARO CELTIC SON. 8 month old sable and white dog puppy with plenty of substance and masculinity for such a youngster without any hint of coarseness. A well balanced wedge shaped head with almond eyes and ears correctly tipped giving that hard to achieve handsome expression. He is a good size having strong body with arched neck, deep chest and plenty of bone. Stood square and moved very positively with strength and drive. Excellent presentation and well deserved BP.

POST GRADUATE 7(2)
1st. Patterson’s TREEVIEW PROMISE TO BOOGIE. 22 month old sable and white bitch with ample coat. A shapely feminine girl with a beautiful head pattern. Very dark almond eyes with good stop and rounded moulded muzzle. Elegant body shape with correct bend of stifle. Moved very well.

1st. Shipp’s PRINCE OF SUNLIGHT NAOMI AT TREMARO (IMP HUN). 2 year old rich sable and white bitch with a well fitting new coat in immaculate condition. Mother to the puppy winner and later found she is bred from the same sire to one of our own bitches. She oozes quality in conformation and soundness of movement. Delightfully feminine in head with everything in proportion. Her reach of neck and length of body providing the finishing touch to the picture. Stood absolutely square with plenty of bone. Could have watched her move all day long. No hesitation in awarding her BOB
2nd. Simmons’ TRENLEY TANZIN. A worthy reserve best of breed for this elegant sable and white bitch who is in full coat and condition. Beautiful eye shape and melting expression with shapely outline from her arched neck and good body length. Moved with ease across the ring.
3rd. Swan’s LINAMAC LADY LOVE AT LEXCOL
