Breed Notes
14th January 2022
Now to the first show of the year, although there were no CC’s on offer, the entry was quite good, 53 for Michelle Fort, (Shulune) and Roughs were second in the ring behind an entry of 23 ASD (also for Michelle) but quite a long day as I understand judging did not finish until 2.45pm.
Taking my information from both Fosse and pages sent down via Jo White, it would appear that there were quite a few absent, 18 according to Fosse.
In the 4 dog classes, the winners were: Corisian Parisian Magic, Monsolana Aspire to Inspire (Imp Rus) NAF/TAF; Tiganlea Task Master at Trenic and Brooklynson El Dorado.
Best dog went to Marianne Benton, Nick and Anne Smith with the Open Winner, Pedro (Brooklynson El Dorado) with the puppy, Corisian Parisian Magic taking both RBD and BPD at 8.5months old for Jo, Pat and Emma Brooker, who very kindly did let me know of this lovely win.
Bitch classes were Mejola Main Event, Omordha Lucky Charm, Siluto Mysterious Girl and Paris Venise du Bois des Amazones for Corisian (Imp Fra). Taking BB was another nice win for the Brooker family with the Open winner with Jo White taking RBB and BPB with Mejola Main Event.
BOB went to Paris, the Open bitch, handled by Jo Brooker and BPIB to Jo White and Gypsy at her first ever show.
Also scheduled here were Special Beginner classes and in both dogs and bitches it was a clean sweep for Lynda Boyle as she won with Barrenclough Diamond Days JW in dogs and with Monsolana Madam Blues Over Barrenclough (who was also 3rd in Open bitch) but overall BSB went to her dog.
This weekend also saw the EACA Collie of the Year Competition, I will report in full next week but all the results will be available on the EACA site.
