Breed Notes
15th January 2021

If you recall, last year EACA decided to hold an On-Line Dog Show and now we have had all the entries in and it has been judged.
All entry fees were donated to our own Collie Rescue, and Jo White had the onerous task of sorting out entries into the classes and ensuring that at no point was there any indication of the name of the exhibit – Thank you Jo for all your hard work and she confirms that at present the sum of about £150 plus has been passed to Rescue.

Certificates were produced for all class winners and a wonderful rosette, donated by Tomas was available for BIS

Entrants were submitted to all the relevant/appropriate classes and included many from abroad. All dogs were allocated an exhibit number and it was not until after judging that the names were known!

Quite a good job as the judges were Rainier Vuorinen (Rainwood) from Finland, Tomas Rohlin (Rollington) from Denmark at John Blake (Corydon) from UK.

The first results through were from the Smooth fraternity, judged by John and these were quickly followed by Rainier’s choice of bitches.

Taking top spot was our own Stefani Flower with Serenlas Obsession, who won from Limit. Reserve BB was Ch Cathkin Wink Na Smile from Australia, who also took BVIB. Best Puppy was Lene Newman’s Phreelancer O’Phortune.
Champion bitch was won by Ch Kangasvuoken Luna Rossa from Finland owned by Pia Enlund

Best Dog went to Corydon Lord of The Rings owned by Eeva Ponni, Reserve Best Dog and also BPD was Darsanian Dance To The Top at Windy Lands owned by Mojca Furlan with another Australian entry, Ch Brooklynson Bruce Willis taking Veteran Dog.

Best In Show was the sable dog Corydon Lord of The Rings, Reserve BIS and also BPIS was Darsanian Dance To The Top at Windy Lands. Reserve BPIS went to Lene and Phreelancer O’Phortuna. Best Veteran in Show fell to the Smooth Ch Kangasvuoken Karamelli with Ch Cathkin Wink Na Smile, the Rough who took Reserve Best Veteran In Show.

Sadly I end these notes with news that just before Christmas, our Breed Archivist, Dareen Bridge died very suddenly at home.  However, I can assure you all that the Breed Archives will be retained, as Dareen took precautions, that in the event, should anything happen and these instructions are now in the hands of the Solicitors. Once there is more news it will be published.
