Breed Notes EACA held their 2nd Ch show in 2021 at the usual venue of Littleport Community Centre and attracted an entry of 118 roughs, 3 entered NFC and 15 smooths without CC’s. The judges were Sue Randall (Ladnar) for the dogs and Open Stakes, bitches were judged by smooth specialist, Bev White (Maneric). Janine Hanson(Jards) had the Special Awards Classes whilst smooths had Di Collino (Imaginist) as their judge. The weather gods obviously decided not to play ball with EACA as most of the day it was damp, with some sunshine but mostly drizzle but the sun did make an appearance at the end of the day for BIS but this never puts off dog exhibitors who had their gazebos and umbrellas at the ready. Club shows always seem to bring out the best classes for our Veterans and in both sexes there were 8 males and 11 ladies entered. There were 49 dogs with 9 marked absent, and the veteran class was won by Jo White’s sable, Ch Mejola I Am Persuasive, now 8 years young he is sired by Corydon The Persuader out of Corydon Maid For Mejola and in the challenge was handled by Torri, Jo’s grand daughter and also to celebrate the recent crowning of Odin, (Ch Mejola Fate and Fortune) Jo had a beautiful cake made with a lovely photo of him decorating the top. Both MP and PD( a total of 4 entries covered both classes) were were won by Alfsden He Lives In You and Alfsden Endless Night, who details have been given previously but to refresh your memory they are sired by Ladnar Must Triharder out of Ladnar Trust In Me at Alfsden and jointly owned by Jan Milligan and N Marley.
Corydon The Bankmaster, who had been 2nd in Junior for Miss A Marriot won Novice, he is sired by Corydon The Ringmaster out of Corydon Moonflower. Jo White took Yearling with her blue Camanna Chasingclouds over Mejola and his details were also given previously Post Grad, a class of 8 was won by Jean Singh and her Tiganlea Task Master at Trenic, a blue, bred by John & Caroline Tipper by Tiganlea Tone Down out of Tiganlea Twinkling Star and handled in the challenge by John. The recent CC winner at Leeds, continued his winning ways in the form of Pedro, Brooklynson El Dorado whose breeding details have now been corrected by owners Marianne Benton, Nick and Anne Smith and he won a ML class of 5 Eleri Bluck also won well with her very much photographed “Ice”, known in the ring as Phreelancer Chill Factor, bred by Lene Newman, who had prepared him for the day and his details are very well known to us all and he won Limit. Freddie came back out to the ring and won an Open class of 7 for Val & John Geddes. Sired by Piaf (Int Ch/Multi Ch One Extraordinary Blu di Cambiano out of Ch Ingledene Spirit of Ecstasy and he will be 3 years young in September this year and officially known as Ingledene Mercury Risin JW`, EACA schedule a Champions class and this was won by Int Ch Skabona The Gambler at Chelborn (Imp Sweden) bred by Bo & Natalia Skalin, known at at home as Potap, he is sired by Int Ch Zealot Gold Fantazija out of Int Ch Chelborn Playing Around and born in Sweden February 2016. Now to the challenge, Sue re-examined all her class winners and awarded a 1st UK CC to Potap and Vanessa. As he was the only one in the class, there was no one to call in, if wanted. A quick re-assessment resulted in the RCC going to John Tipper handling Jean’s blue who had won PG, and with it a first big award for the family. The bitches had 66 for Bev with 16 marked absent and taking the first class was “Tinks”, Ch Tiganlea Tinkerbelle at Revdvikki. Hard to believe she is now a “senior” lady. Sired by Ch Chantique Huggy Bear at Tiganlea out of Hazelnut des Vergers des Iacchos, owned by Rev Vikki Burrows and handled, as usual by John. Expertly handled by Josh Blackburn, his and Duna Jones Erjon Ebony Jewels won MP. Her details have been given very recently as have Ingledene Sno Angel who won Puppy for Val and John Margaret Harrison continued her wins with Cambrogan Lady of Loch’aber at Cariadhaf, whilst a new baby, Tiganlea True Hearts Desire won Novice for John & Caroline Tipper being out of a litter by Lillyway Latimer at Nithview ex Tiganlea True Romance. Julie Edwards must have been pleased that she and Eleri decided, at the last minute to attend the show as their Elshajo Adored took PG, a nice class of 13 with 1 absent. She is by Ch Beldones Tom Wood out of Top Less Goldmania from the Ukraine. The just to make their day even better, Eleri took Salsina Sharing Secrets, known at home as Shine, to win ML. Sired by Stonehaven Pride Golden Touch at Salsina out of Salsina Share A Dream. Kate Arrowsmith and Gwen Beadon won Limit with Nellie, Saganan Blue Diamond JW and her details were given when she won the CC recently. John Tipper, who had quite a busy day, took time out after judging to let me know that Aerial, Hun/Int/Ch Tiganlea Make Good Time took the Open class of 12 for Monika Bardos – thanks John as first hand news is always welcome In the Ch Bitch class, there were 3 entries, one absent and local lady, Hannah Walder, piloted Ch Beldones La Vita Bella For Hanvale JW to win this. Taking the RBCC was the Veteran, Tinks, for Vikki Burrows. Josh handled the tricolour, Erjon Ebony Jewels to BPB and in the final line up she was awarded BPIS, but Duna’s day was not to end on this celebration as she received, on behalf of the RCBC, a presentation of 2 lovely roses and very significant sum of money (which she tells me will go to a new laptop) in respect of the 25 years work she undertook as Secretary to the Breed Council. Thank you Duna. BIS, judged by Lisa Pettit (Lakebank) went to the tricolour boy belonging to Vanessa, with Gwen taking RBIS and BOSIS. BPIS & BMPIS to Duna’s tri, handled by Josh, Best Veteran to Tinkerbelle, I think the only award that went to the Smooth fraternity, was Reserve BPIS for Cathy Howard and her Shandlmain’s Sofistikate. Janine Hanson judged the SAC classes and found her winners in the smooth puppy that went RBPIS, Stefani Flower’s Serenlas Pagan Moon who won PG and Marianne Benton took the Open class with Pedro. Finally, just to add icing on the cake, Sue Randall also judged the Special Stakes classes, with Prize money, and this went to Duna and Josh with Erjon Exclusively Special. Carole Smedley |
