Judges critique
What a beautiful shaded sable, I have long admired, but never had the pleasure of judging her. Not seeing her in the ring often enough. A Classic Collie, we should all be aiming for, turned out immaculately. The picture of her standing so elegant and passive, the dignity she oozes, took my breath away, the picture she made will remain with me for a very long time, if not forever. In full coat glinting like bronze in the sun, coat harsh in texture and again her whites gleaming. Her head is classic, she has a lovely oblique dark eye, parallel planes were equal, perceivable stop, conical shape, viewed from above, lovely foreface, scissor bite and good under jaw. Super nape of neck running into well laid back shoulders, good heart room, nice round bone of good length to her body ratio, without coarseness. Plenty spring of rib, giving a good underline and well let down stifles. Form top line, nice rise over her croup, well set tail, which she never lifted, nicely coupled in the loin. Neat parallel hocks, showing her pads as she drove round the large ring, she is so sound. Her top line is firm which she never lost standing or moving.
