I have lived with rough collies all my life, when my last boy died my husband searched the internet and found Nutslade Rough Collies owned by Sylvia Evans, as luck would have it Sylvia had an 8 week old male puppy my “Storm”.

Well my Storm is just a dream come true, we could not have been better suited, he was just what we were looking for in a rough collie and what a stunner he has turned out to be.  Although rough collies have been my life for over 40 years it had never crossed my mind to show, well we were persuaded and with help from Sylvia and a good friend we started showing Storm at 10.5 months.

He did very well as a teenager under Pam Cornish at West of England Championship gaining three first qualifying him in style for Crufts.  Since then he has continued to do well both at Open and Championship Shows gaining his  Show Certificate of Merit at 2.5 years.

I was proud as punch when Storm was placed third at Crufts this year under judge Alan Stanilad, it really made my day.

Storm has qualified again for Crufts this year has been awarded over 30 BOB at Open Shows and I would like to thank all the judges that think so highly of him. He was also awarded Top Show Dog for Westbury and District Canine 2012.

Jazz above - July 2015 - aged 23 months

Brookynut would like to introduce their very first home bred rough collie.
Although it was not exactly the best introduction into breeding we managed to come out of the experience with Mother and pup.
Our beautiful Millie had a horrendous entry into the world and then had me as her surrogate mother.

She is aptly names BROOKYNUT ONE IN A MILLION  as there will be no more puppies from her mother and she has a unique shading to her face, many of whom have commented on, which you either like or not, obviously this does not detract from her excellent construction  or movement for a young puppy.

The main thing is that she is a happy, healthy puppy who will have a forever home.

She has already had success in the show ring:-
Best puppy in breed at Horley and District Canine
Winning her Junior class and Best Puppy in Breed at Stroud and District Canine and last weekend winning Puppy class,
Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 3 at Woolwich and Bexley Canine.
