The Smooth Collie Club of Great Britain
OPEN SHOW

Sunday 22nd April 2018

My thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge Best in Show

BEST IN SHOW

Benton’s Smooth Oakestelle Venus De Milo A very attractive blue bitch who immediately appealed for her overall balance. Correct head with lovely eye placement giving sweet expression and her ears used to advantage. Could not fault her on the move being sound both ways.

BEST OPPOSITE SEX IN SHOW

Denton’s  Smooth Brackenhaye Fields of Gold. Richly coloured sable who was in top form. All male with a masculine head but not course. Head qualities very pleasing with good eye placement and neat ears. Well sprung rib and decent length of back. Impressive on the move.

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

Lockyer’s Think of me Prince Of Sunlight at Gatja (Imp Hun) Impressive rich gold sable at just under a year old and he was presented to perfection. I liked his overall balance throughout. He moved around the ring with purpose and gave all his attention to his handler when asked.

BEST VETERAN IN SHOW

Benton’s Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle. An old favourite of mine who I have judged before. She is so very feminine with a head that immediately appeals for her stop in the correct place and her eye placement is lovely.  Neat ears used constantly  and her showmanship is superb. Faultless on the move.
