Class 2 Puppy Dog (no entries)

Class 3 Junior Dog (2, 0)

1st Miss J L Brooker Corisian French Connection.

What a glamourous young boy this is, he is an impressive golden sable with good length of head, obliquely set dark eyes giving a sweet expression, excellent ear carriage, he was well up to size, good arch to neck, nice lay of shoulder and turn of stifle moved well when settled but he was a total handful, his handler worked very hard with him, pushed hard for best dog but the steadiness of the tri pipped him, REST BEST DOG.

2nd   Mrs L D Jones and Blackburn Erjon Encouraged To Be Blue.

Another who was being a handful for handler, a well-marked Blue merle of good colour, rich tan on his face which enhanced his expression he had good  wedged head, balanced shape but would have liked a bit more of him all over.

Class 4 Yearling Dog (1, 0)

1st Miss J L Brooker Corisian French Connection.

Class 5 Novice Dog  (1, 0)

1st Miss J L Brooker Corisian French Connection.

Class 6 Post Graduate Dog  (2, 1)

1st Mrs B Cooney Jopium Danny Boy at Lingwell.

Rich shaded sable who appealed for outline on standing all male, well-constructed when handled, with good neck, length of back and hindquarters he moved well at a steady pace, he was beautifully presented, but for me his head was not his fortune, I found him deep in head and full in eye which detracted from his expression.

Class 7 Limit Dog (2,1)

1st Mrs A and Mr B Fox and Moore Alanita Jazz Tastic

Beautiful coloured rich shaded sable who was presented and handled to perfection, he had a good a length of head but flared in back skull, he is full in eye (but I liked his cheeky inquisitive expression) he handles well with a nice lay of shoulders and turn of stifle, and he moved very well but needs to be bigger all over for a male.

Class 8 Open Dog (3,2)

1st Mr K G & Mrs TM Brand and Reid Ronanspray Ronan Kisses.

Quality tricolour in full coat, lovely balanced head correct stop, ears are wide set and he is reluctant to use them but when he pulls it together his soft almond dark eyes oozed charisma that only a tri can do, he is a good size male who excelled in construction when handled lovely shoulder and front, good neck and length of back, moved very well covering the ground with the lightest of steps. Not a showing fool and handler had to work hard to get the most of him pleased to award him BEST DOG.

Class 9 Veteran Dog (no entries)

Class 10 Minor Puppy Bitch (1,1)

Class 11 Puppy Bitch (no entries)

Class 12 Junior Bitch (1,1)

Class 13 Yearling Bitch (1,1)

Class 14 Novice Bitch (no entries)

Class 15 Post Graduate Bitch (4, 3)

1st Mrs A & Mr B Fox Danfrebek Platinum Dust Avec Alanita.

Nicely coloured blue merle, pretty bitch with a good head eyes and ears, she has more white on her face than I normally like but this did not detract from her expression. She is well made throughout with good shoulders and reach on the move, driving well from behind she sparkled in presentation just needs more coat to complete the picture.

Class 16 Limit Bitch (6, 2)

1st Miss P Sibbald Telforth Little Mix.

My star of the day I judged this bitch at her first show as a raw 6 months baby and predicted she would be the best of the 3 from that litter I judged that day, and she has fulfilled that early promise. Not in her best jacket today but the coat she had was rich golden sable and showed off her every asset. She has the most beautiful front assembly your hands completely flow over her front into perfect lay of shoulders, she has excellent reach of neck and length of back into beautiful hindquarters with the straightest of hocks, her balanced construction is a lesson to us all, she moved as he construction suggested effortless never putting as foot wrong from any angle and to top it all she has the most exquisite head and expression, well rounded muzzle, flat skull and correct ear carriage. BEST BITCH and BIS.

2nd Mr K G & Mrs TM Brand and Reid Ronansprey Rumour Has It Sh.CM

Blue Merle bitch, another who was good to handle in good coat of correct texture, head is a good length, with a flat skull, clean in foreface and well-rounded muzzle with neat well-placed ears giving a nice expression. Balanced outline and moved well.

3rd  Mrs A & Mr B Fox Erjon Euphoric For Alanita

Class 17 Open Bitch (4, 1)

1st Miss J Hodges Jopium Secret Fantasy.

Sable bitch who appeals instantly for outline, beautiful shape with excellent reach of neck and well angulated, moved well,  won this class on her sound movement and beautiful presentation, her head is a good length with well-placed stop but I found her head deep and too strong therefore lacked femininity in head that I desire.

2nd Mr T & Mrs P McGowan Barrenclough Golden Gem at Westoak

Very sweet golden sable bitch with lovely head, expression and correct ear carriage, she is well constructed bitch shorter in upper arm than 1 which was apparent in her front movement but well angulated behind and moved with drive, more could have been done with her presentation to complete the picture.

3rd  Mr K G & Mrs TM Brand and Reid Ronanspray Midnight Kiss

Class 18 Veteran Bitch (3,1)

1st Miss P Sibbald Ch Lynmead Amalie Lucy Locket at Telforth.

This gorgeous lady who belies her age exquisite golden sable who excels in outline and shape with her crescent neck, so feminine and shown in full bloom she presented a picture of a true collie silhouette, she has a lovely length and balanced head, correct stop with dark expressive eyes and correct ear carriage she moved well covering the ground with ease, a worthy champion who had to be satisfied with RES BEST BITCH today beaten by her daughter, but finished the day rBIS and BVIS.

2nd  Mrs A & Mr B Fox Danfrebek Amazing Grace For Alanita

Another quality sable bitch larger type than first with good head and expression she is well constructed under her wealth of coat with a good reach of neck and length to her back, nice turn of stifle and moved well if carrying a bit too much weight for her frame.
