Leek and District Canine Society Open Show Critique

Judge: Steve Webb (Shadowpark)

Thank you to Leek and District committee for inviting me to judge at their open show and to Joan my hard working steward for her help. I had the pleasure of going over some very nice dogs so thank you to all the exhibitors for your entries. Although we had a compressor so close to the ring that it was almost in it, all of the dogs coped very well despite the noise and fumes, so again thank you to all the exhibitors for being so understanding.

Puppy (2, 1abs)

1st Pullin's Chantique Obsession at Myjacks (BP)
Nice sweet head, correct eye and ear placement, good presentation, moved well but needs to tighten up just a little at the rear however she has plenty of time for that.

Junior (5, 1abs)

1st Gladwell's Monsolana Love N Kiss Jotars (Imp Rus) (BOB, RBIS)
What a pleasure to go over this quality girl, immaculately presented with lovely sweet head, very nice profile with every aspect in proportion. Lovely well fitted coat and correctly angulated front and rear which clearly showed in her excellent movement, so pleased she went on to gain RBIS it was well deserved.
2nd Boyle's Barrenclough Touch of Thyme
3rd Clare's Ingledene Nitesky of Skyeshelm
4th Williams Ingledene Seasons in the Sun at Essanjay

Post Graduate (2, 0)

1st Edwards Jashika Shine Like a Diamond (RBOB)
Lovely girl that I also really liked, a sweet clean feminine head, nicely proportioned with good angulation and profile, moved well with good reach and held her top line, well fitted coat and very nicely presented.
2nd Boyle's Barrenclough Touch of Thyme

Open (5, 2abs)

1st Boyle's Monsolana Madam Blues over Barrenclough ShCM (Imp Rus)
Nice quality girl with good head, correct eye and ear placement with good reach of neck, good rear angulation and moved well in this class but did not move quite as well in the challenge.
2nd Clare's Bluechip Solar Storm of Skyeshelm
3rd Williams Essanjay Dark Moon Rising
