London & Provisional Collie Club Open Show - Sunday 27th August 2017

 

I was pleased with the overall quality of the exhibits.  Most were well presented with teeth well cared for.

DOGS

Puppy

    • Humphrey’s Shasam Sign of the Times.  11 month, very mature s/w.  Demands attention.  Liked everything about him. Lovely wedge head, almond shape eye, super expression.  Shapely neck, strong hind quarters.  So alert for his handler.  Moved with drive.  Must have a promising future.  B.P.D.
    • Broadhead’s Rahlissa Only Make Believe.   7 month, s/w.  Well put together puppy.  Good coat for age.  Head of correct proportions, pleasing eye, well set ears.  Moved well.
    • Benton’s Brooklynson El Dorado
    • Hull’s Lizmark Gold Sovereign

       

Junior

    • S. Sign of the Times.
    • Cronk’s Chelbourn Story Teller.  Tri of really good colour.  Liked his make and shape. Masculine expression.  Good stop, ears bang on top and used to an advantage.  Well-presented. Moved well.  Nice dog, unlucky to meet 1.

Graduate

    • S. Sign of the Times.
    • Page’s Lynmead Amalie Bring Me Back J.W.  Shaded sable, smaller type but still a very nice dog.  Sweet eye, good stop, neat ears.  Good confirmation. Moved well.

Post-Graduate

    • Page’s Lynmead Amalie Let me Go.  s/w.  Another well-presented dog from this exhibitor.  Not a big one.  Very good confirmation.  Super head properties, alert, appealing expression.   Delightful temperament.  Moved soundly. 
    • Philpin’s Bahatiview Bojangles for Tudorlyn.  Attractive tri.  Well off for coat.  Correct shape head with nice eye and masculine expression and well used ears.  Likes his food!  Moved well.

Limit

    • Wells’ Collingvale Crunchy at Terelimon.  Well known shaded sable.  Stood alone here.  Very attentive for handler.  Good wedge head, sweet eye and ears used well.  As his conformation suggests, moved well around the ring.  B.D.

Open

    • Tipper’s Tiganlea Too Good to be Forgotten.  Glamourous s/w.  Well-presented coat on a correctly constructed dog.  Liked his head pattern, good eye giving lovely expression.  Plenty of neck and deep rib cage.  A bit reluctant to use his ears today.  Moved with drive.
    • Rae’s Antoc Soul Mate.  Shaded sable.  Correct head structure, ears on top and used well.  Sweet expression.  Well presented.  Moves well.  Different type to 1. 
    • Hull’s Lizmark Gold Standard Sh. C. M.

 

Veteran

    • Fuller’s Damos Diamond Legend.  10 years young tri.  Still in top condition.  Classic head, nice eye, good ears, used non-stop.  Moved well B.V.D.

    • Humphrey’s Shasam Shades of Guilt.  s/w.  Litter sister to puppy dog winner.  Another stunning puppy from this kennel.  Georgious overall picture.  Feminine head, super eye, cheeky expression, I am sure she is a character! Well off for coat.  Moved so soundly.  B.P.
    • Randall’s Samhaven Hopeful Ladnar.  b/m.  8 months shapely puppy.  Totally balanced head with sweet eye.  Showing her socks off. Good front assembly, nice picture standing.  Moved well. 
    • Thame’s Rahlissa Charmaine. 

Junior

    • Walder’s Beldones La Vita Bella for Hanvale s/w. Liked her type.  Well off for bone.  Coat an asset, which was immaculate.  Good wedge head, lovely eye, giving sweet expression.  Impressive mover.
    • McDade’s Fridens Captivation with Lyndale b/m.  Well-made girl.  Lots of substance.  Has balanced head with good ear carriage.  Sweet eye.  Gives all for her handler.  Sound on the move.

Yearling

    • Waterhouse’s Gift Wrapped with Love Lynmead s/w.  Ultra-feminine girl.  Balanced head, super eye, ears set and used well.  Good front assembly, excellent neck and length of back. Moved with style.  Lovely bitch, who unfortunately left her clothes at home!

    • James’ Deanjan Delightful Dolly

 

Graduate

    • McDade’s Beldones Sweet Illusion s/w.  Is maturing well.  Feminine head, sweet eye, correct stop.  Showed non-stop.  Coat in lovely condition.  Moved well.
    • Philpin’s Sassari Snow Shimmer for Tudorlyn b/m.  Lovely colour blue. Stands four square and always gives her best.  Correct head pattern, good ear set.  Nice overall bitch.  Moves well.
    • Lyall’s Santalolys Sky Amidalas

       

Post-Graduate

    • James’ Deanjan Dynamite Dame.  Shaded Sable.  New one to me. Very attractive and balanced throughout.  Super moulded head.  Dark eye, lovely expression.  Ear set good.  Well off for coat.  Moved well. 
    • Singh’s Bermajo Blue Mist for Trenic b/m.  Fabulous clear blue.  Good body shape.  Elegant neck.  Balanced head.  Lovely expression.  Rather likes her dinners! 
    • S. Sky Amidalas

 

Limit

    • Plank’s Riverside Song Happy Endings for Rayvel s/w.  Smaller type.  So feminine overall.  Well off for coat.  Swan neck enhanced by huge shawl collar.  Good shoulders, deep rib cage.  Liked her head pattern.  Sweetest of expressions.  Moved very well. R.B.B.
    • Randall’s Ladnar Ink Heart J.W. Tri with a shining immaculately presented coat.  Such a pretty, well balanced head.  Ears used non-stop.  Short hocks, which enable her to move with drive.  Just needs more coat to complete a lovely bitch.
    • Margetts’ Collingvale Crème Anglaise J.W.

 

Open

    • Burrows’ Tiganlea Tinkerbell at Revdvicki s/w.  Out of the top drawer!  Stunning 4 year old, super rich coloured sable.  Wonderful construction throughout.  Her classic head, with correct stop.  Lovely almond eye.  Ears an asset to finish the picture. So in one with her handler.  Powered round the ring as her short hocks would suggest.  Wish she were mine!  B.B. B.O.B
    • Humphrey’s Brilyns Guilty Pleasure is Shasam s/w.  Another lovely bitch.  Has that classic head with correct stop and beautifully placed dark eye, to create that sought after softness.  Good neck, shoulders and deep rib cage.  Moved with power and elegance.
    • Margetts’ Collingvale Crème Caramel J.W.

 

Veteran

    • James’ Morvania Summer Affair at Deanjan.  10 year old, lovely rich sable, who is holding her age so well.  Head of correct lines, sweetest eye.  Good ears, which she knows how to use.  Ample neck.  Super coat. Sound on the move.
    • Philpin’s Tudorlyn Little Princess Sh. C.M. Shaded sable.  Not a flashy one.  She is so well-constructed.  Liked her head and eye.  Always at one with her handler.  Moved well.
    • Arrowsmith’s Saganan Dancing for Joy.
