SCOTTISH COLLIE CLUB  -  21ST MAY, 2016

My thanks to the Officials & Committee for the invitation to Judge this very friendly Club Show.  One I have supported as an exhibitor over many years.  Thanks also to the exhibitors for the lovely entry.  I really enjoyed my day.

BITCHES
MINOR PUPPY  8(1a)
BROOKER’S LOVELY FLOWER DU BOIS DES AMAZONES FOR CORISIAN.  8 months s/w/  Very pretty.  Just said “Look At Me”, and I did.  Very well presented, with nice fitted jacket. Stood four square on neat legs & feet with short neat hocks, so she moved very well for one so young.  Attentive to her handler all the time.  Ears correctly placed and sweet eye and expression, with well filled foreface.
2.  CONGDON’ S AARONWELL ALOE VERA.  8 months pretty s/w with full white collar and white legs.  Fitted jacket which was immaculate.  Well laid shoulder and reach of neck.  Pleasing eye and expression with correctly placed ears.  Very sound on the move and kept her shape.  A close decision between 1 and 2 but just preferred ear carriage of 1.
3.  STEVENS’ CARIADHAF CRAZY DREAM.

PUPPY BITCH 7
1.  AARONWELL ALOE VERA.
2.  CARMICHAEL’S KILCHRENAN ZENA’S DESIGN.  Very nice tri bitch with full white collar and front legs.  Dark eye of the correct shape.  Good rich tan and well filled foreface.  Ears correctly placed which she used to advantage.
3.  FORT’S SHULUNE CAST A SPELL.

JUNIOR 8
CONGDON’S AARONWELL AZURE BETTY.  Have admired this pretty s/w bitch from the ringside and was not disappointed when I handled her.  Excellent colour enhanced by full shawl collar and white front legs.  Absolutely dripping in coat which was the correct texture.
Good length of back with neat legs and feet and short hocks.  Well laid shoulder.  Balanced throughout and kept her topline on the move.  Well placed ears giving sweet expression.
2.  FOX’S ERJON EUPHORIC FOR ALANITA.  16 months tri.  Nicely balanced bitch with good shoulder and reach of neck.  Stood four square on neat legs and feet.  Showed and moved well.  Head handles well with the sweetest of eye and expression which you would expect from this breeder.  Not in the best coat and unlucky to meet 1 in such sparkling form.
3.  WRAY’S BELDONES DUCHESS OF DREAMS.

YEARLING 4
1.  CORNEY’S APATITE SKYES AT YENROC.  Attractive blue merle. Good shoulder and reach of neck which she used to advantage. Level topline which she kept on the move.  Showed non-stop and at one with her handler.  Head handles well, with neat ears correctly placed and sweet eye and expression.  Bit short of coat underneath.
2.  BLAIKIE’S KOURIKA KANDITA. Very attractive blue, the colour one expects from this kennel.  Balanced throughout with good shoulder,  reach of neck and length of back with level topline.  Well rounded foreface with neat correctly placed ears and sweet eye and expression.  At one with handler.  Bit short of coat underneath.

POST GRDUATE 14 (3a)
1.  BURROW’S TIGANLEA TINKERBELL.  3 years pretty golden s/w with full white collar and white front legs.  Her head handles well. She has well-filled foreface and sweet eye and expression and correctly placed ears which she used to advantage.  Sound on the move but oh, far too much hair left on the hocks.
2.  COLLINS’ TRIBURLE ZEETA.  Very neat 4 year old.  In good tight fitting coat with full shawl collar and white front legs. A lovely picture standing with level topline and balanced shoulder. Rather fine in foreface but pleasing in profile.  Ears could be tighter.
3.  McGOWAN’S BARRENCLOUGH GOLD CHARM AT WESTOAK.

LIMIT 12 (4a)
1.  BLAIKIE’S KOURIKA KARRISMA.  3 year old tricolour, nicely marked.  Balanced with good shoulder and reach of neck. A lovely picture standing, and she didn’t disappoint on the move.  Very sound.  Her jacket was immaculate and truly black.  Sweetest of eye and expression in well filled foreface with neat ears which she used.  In tune with her handler. Pleased to give her Res.CC
2.  BRAND & REID’S RONANSPREY MIDNIGHT KISS.  3 year old tricolour, maturing nicely.  She is balanced and stands well.  Nice rich tan markings and sweet dark eye.  Correctly placed ears which she used. Just preferred shoulder and reach of neck of 1, but a nice steady bitch.
3.  MITCHELL & JORDAN’S AVONFAIR SECRET ATTRACTION.

OPEN 9 (1a)
BLAKE’S DEMELEWIS CATCH THE BREEZE FOR CORYDON. Smart, compact tri bitch.  Just oozes quality.  Balanced head, good foreface and rich tan.  Ears where they should be and
an expression to die for.  The eye set and shape typical of what you would expect from this breeding.  She really scored on the move, it was free and effortless on a loose lead and she held her topline.  She was groomed to perfection and could not be denied the CC and later BIS.  Well done. Hope the 3rd isn’t too far away.
2 FRANCIS’ ILEYDA SATIN LACE OF PEBLU.  Pretty s/w with huge shawl collar.  Pleasing head and expression and ears ok.  Rather fine in bone but nicely coated.  Moved well.
3.  CORNEY’S YENROC FLEUR DI ECOSSE
VETERAN 1
GRAINGER & MITCHELL’S CH.SAMHAVEN CLASSICAL MUSIC.  What more can be said about this lovely bitch?  At nearly nine year of age she looked a picture. Immaculately presented with plenty of featherings and showed non-stop.  Very attentive to her handler and she looked as if she was enjoying her day out.  BVIS.
